This isn’t the best way to record PCVR footage, but it is easily explained (although at a performance loss). Also, for some games, you will have better performance capturing the game window itself versus the Steam VR window that she shows.

    Hello buddy l nice video.. just a quick question I’m considering getting the crystal light which is similar to your original crystal I have the quest 3 but in some games I don’t really like the compression would you say the crystal is a good display for a pc vr over the quest 3 thanks

    • @EndersVRcade
      @EndersVRcade 5 днів тому

      I have both and prefer my original Crystal over my Quest 3 for everything except stand alone games (obviously) and when I’m worried about twisting the cable. However the biggest consideration for Pimax is you need a lot of patience and ability to tinker or self-diagnose when something is wrong. If you have experience with PCVR and a decent understanding of how to adjust settings on your PC & HMD and researching help on Discord, then yes it is a wonderful visual and with the upgraded headphones, audible experience.

      @@angiemon897 sorry that you didn’t see this sooner! If it’s any consolation, I haven’t tested the Core just the C2+ I own. The vertical movement range is based on what other reviews have said. I am also very happy with my C2+ at 5 foot 8 inches except when jumping and crouching could be easier - neither of which is impossible at least at my height (or shorter) with the C2+.

    • @angiemon897
      @angiemon897 21 день тому

      @@EndersVRcade ohh thanks for getting back at me so quickly! <3 but WHY exactly is the crouching and jumping better on the core? 🤔 I'm very salty because I think more expensive should = better lol :D

    • @EndersVRcade
      @EndersVRcade 20 днів тому

      You are welcome. Based on my understanding, it is because the Core has a redesigned upright with greater up and down travel. It’s something they redesigned after feedback from those of us who bought the C2 plus before the core existed. In addition to making the core better in that way, they were able to also lower the price by making it simpler/a less expensive design. It’s counterintuitive I know but that’s the price of being an early adopter - at least for me. As I said, the C2 plus does have a couple extra things like the haptic module the blue rubber covers and blue lighting, and seat included but yeah, the core as I think I said in the short is I think the better value per dollar.

    • @UhHhu-rt6yx
      @UhHhu-rt6yx 19 днів тому

      No the c2 core is worse for movent since the thing that keeps you up right is moved more forward so you feel it more than on the c2 plus

    Great video as usual but this one is truly your best work yet. Not only the in depth knowledge and truth and unique insights, but the editing as well. Folks don’t have any idea what goes into VR live streaming or content creating, until you dive in deep. Juggling VR streaming, like you said, is insanely challenging and takes a ton of work outside of actual streaming. The amount of time, money and effort I invest is all because of the passion and desire to help and grow this industry. Of the 20+ hours I live stream VR each week, I spend even more time doing stuff outside of the live stream. So more time than my actual 9-5 job and I would make more money working at Walmart one day of the month. But it’s all enjoyable. Like you said, you have to have a why, enjoy what you do more than just playing a game and do your own thing. Great video! Was excited to watch and you nailed it. Cheers.

    Thank you very much for this! I have had my channel for a while, but built it off of a game I'm not a huge fan of anymore (at least for making regular content with). So I picked up the MQ3 the other day and thought this seems like a really fun way to get the love back for content creation. But have been having some issues trying to get recordings to work properly with clear sounding audio. I still haven't figured it all out yet. But I would love to see a video on your setup (at least your basic setup) . I also use resolve, although I definitely think Premiere Pro is better. But with the pay wall there, PP and After Effects are just too pricey for most (I have mine through work, so I try not to use it for things like YT if I can help it). So Resolve it is.

      @@SefianFM You are very welcome SefianFM, and I appreciate your comment. At my new job we have Adobe Premiere, and I’m looking forward to learning it later on this year. So far I have just been using adobe audition for voiceovers and I’m very impressed with it. Although I hope I don’t get hooked on premier given the pricing lol. If you think your audio issues are due to your microphone or physical space set up, I would be happy to give what advice I can. (I can’t help with the premiere, but I can try to help with Resolve which it sounds like you have switched to.) Feel free to reach out to me on Discord with some photos if the issue is hardware or audio samples, and I’ll do what I can until I probably make an audio focused video on the topic.

    Title is kinda misleading I clicked on it because I want to know how not why I should.

    • @EndersVRcade
      @EndersVRcade Місяць тому

      I feel that calling my title misleading is harsh and undeserved. As I said, the why or motivation is the foundation and most important start of getting started, which is the title. I don’t think it’s misleading if you don’t agree with me on what the first step is or because you are already happen to be on step 2. I applaud you on having already started and encourage you to continue. To responsibly help as many people as I can, I feel I have to cover all the steps because they may not have even started the first one. Furthermore, as I have said, too many people get started for the wrong reasons and with inflated assumptions they will become wealthy by just putting stuff out there. I picked the thumbnail picture I did in part because it’s about motivation. Steps two and more may come later, and I hope you find them helpful when/if I can get to them. There are also links in the description of sources I learned from if you want to get started with them. At least you get to see my process using them versus having to track them down and imagine how they all flow together.

    4:19 This COULD NOT BE MORE TRUE!!! Ender knows! If you want to create content for money VR is still niche and the worst place if you just want money/notoriety/fame. Also that's why burnout is so prevalent. People who start for those things have one thing take off, begin to only do that, and it becomes a job again before they know it. I started VR as a passion and I still tell people I meet that I'm unemployed because in my eyes I have a hobby that may support me somewhat, but I don't work doing my hobby. When you mentioned the Quest 2 and 3 saying what people should get you didn't mention the Quest 3s coming out soon. I would think maybe they get one of those on a budget over a Quest 2 now. A Quest 2 I can see be an option to try VR or for a year before upgrading at this point. I am not sure if the Quest 3s is only $100 less than the Quest 3 or more but it has 256GB to the Quest 3s 128GB. When they drop the Quest 2 all together and the Quest 3s gets a sale it might sell to budget friendly people.

      You’re correct that the rumored new quest might be a better fit. When it comes to my videos though, I don’t like to comment on rumors unless I have official confirmation from the manufacturer and specs first I certainly enjoy speculating, but I try to keep it out of my recommendations until I know what I’m recommending for certain. I remember with quest three, we were supposed to have three different versions (some with eye tracking for example) and we only ended up getting one for example.

      Plus if the rumors are true that it’s going to keep the price down by dropping pancake lenses, but keep color mixed reality, frankly I’m not very excited because I’d rather keep the pancake lenses and drop mixed reality but again that’s just me.

      @@EndersVRcade Well that is what a lot of VR type people would prefer but they (meta) rather have people who like AR get into VR when getting a headset for AR that also plays VR. There are AR only headsets that also cost a lot though too. I never really was interested in AR but since the Quest 3 has it I will still use it. I am so used to the frasnel lenses though that I can get right into the sweet spot every time I put it on. It still is good if people start with that for a cheaper price and get used to it when they get a headset with pancake lenses.

    So i actually just recently switched to the Kiwi Design single point charging battery strap. And overall I like it more than my bobo m3 pro. Its not a 100% upgrade, but for me its better. To charge everything, all you need to do is just plug the cord into the battery on the back and it keeps the headset and battery topped off. This wasn't something I could do with the bobo. I always needed two cables to keep it charged. The Kiwi strap is also MUCH lighter, because its a pro style strap without the halo forehead support. And for me, this was a big one, but for a different reason. Halo straps just come in contact with your head more, they block areas I want to itch and cut down on the breathability of the headset. I do miss how the bobo kinda cupped the back of my head at a better angle, but the kiwi is still plenty comfortable and the battery also seems to last significantly longer than the bobo m3 pro batteries did, with no hissing or humming sounds.

    I LOVE my BOBOVR S3/Oblik combination. The halo strap is so much more comfortable than the elite “head-in-a-vice” strap. The vented Oblik allows the S3 fan to thoroughly cool u during strenuous games. The Oblik does cost more but it’s definitely worth the price. The interface is so important since you could be wearing it for hours-comfort, great FOV, vented, and being custom-made are worth the extra bucks (Lenses and certain accessories are more expensive, why not invest in the best interface???) As for the audio, I’m pretty happy with the Quest 3. Headphones may be bulky but they are easy enough to connect. Excellent video, looking forward to more of your content…..💪

    The BOBOVR S3 is probably the worst design "upgrade" in VR history. The fan makes absolutely no sense to move the battery indicator from the dots on the battery to the numbers on the strap itself (yes, you have to take the headset off to check it) - ahh yes and the price. Bobo seem to think they are Meta. Furthermore it does not support the older batteries, if you wanted to use your old batteries from the m2/m3. Yes, the m3 was a thing. Bobo was so eager to get in the game, that they released a practically unusable, untetested refresh of the Quest 2, where the batteries was not up to the challenge. I wasted a lot of money on Bobo. I will instead suggest the KKCOBVR Q3 Pro. Almost halft the price and none of the stupid design choices. It did have buzzing batteries in the beginning, but when the problem was solved, they shipped me the replacement part for free and now that strap is perfect.

      Thank you for sharing your opinion. One question - did you see in my video where at 5:16 the batteries do light up with dots to show battery charge level?

    • @Evilkingus
      @Evilkingus 2 місяці тому

      @@EndersVRcade I didn't see that. Is that new? I believe other reviewers said they were removed? If that is true I take some of the criticism back, but that makes the indicator on the strap redundant.

    • @EndersVRcade
      @EndersVRcade 2 місяці тому

      You can see it in the video. I almost missed that feature though and probably I can see why others did too. The button to turn on the battery indicator has been moved to the side and it’s easy to miss. You can see it at five minutes and 16 seconds into my video. The indicator on the side is kind of redundant, but you can also push on the squirrel button to bring up fan speed. I guess it’s nice so you can confirm that you’re at 100 hundred percent fan speed and exactly what percentage battery but yeah, it’s not necessary.

    Did you lose any weight genuine question not bing a prick

    • @EndersVRcade
      @EndersVRcade 2 місяці тому

      Definitely. In about 30 minutes of Pavlov, I burn about 200 calories vs the same time on a treadmill being 300. Where I really start to see weight loss is the motivation to do longer workouts because of the gaming motivation. Typically I play 1-2 hours 3-4 times a week with big worlds/story driven games world games like Into the Radius, Walking Dead S&S, Asgard’s Wrath 1, HL Alyx, etc so I’m having working out more with this than just my “let’s get this over with” half hour workouts in the gym alone (I still do those for strength training and diet is even more of a factor so I’m reluctant to quote weight loss numbers just to the Kat).

      @@EndersVRcade So far I hooked up the Loco S everything was a breeze. All sensors go inside the Gateway software. I'm trying to run a modded Fallout 4 VR from f4sevr and Loco S no input. I tried a million things but zero input from the Loco S. I also tried the most bare bones vanilla Fallout 4 VR install through SteamVR no input. I'm running Virtual Desktop and launching SteamVR. SUUUUPPPER frustrated at this point because my KATC2 never had these issues. :/

    Hello and thank you for the review. I have heard others say the vibration is not very strong at all. Even when turned all the way up, the impact is heard more than it's felt. Do you agree or disagree with that? Also, hearing it would seem to be a nuisance. Do you agree?

    • @EndersVRcade
      @EndersVRcade 2 місяці тому

      You are welcome, Dave. I think at default power level (100%) TactVisor is less powerful and noisier than the previous version. However at 200% or higher (and it can go up to 400% (or 4x in the new software) it’s very noticeable and I wouldn’t want any more. I think many are either not remembering to crank it up or aren’t impressed because they aren’t getting shot in the head much compared to the torso or getting constant recoil from the arm devices. However, that’s not to say the wrong, everyone is going to have different perceptions when it comes to things like how things feel. I can only speak for myself. I don’t know of a way to measure haptics objectively.
