Thanks for taking the time to explain it.
you are very welcome. was it clear , did i miss anything?
Could not find how, but how do I save the airport?
Once you have the airport done. Select project editor and then biuld all
Thanks so much. I once I log out of the sim and then when I load back in it’s not there. So how can I fix that, then also there is many files when I save it and I don’t know how to re-load them. Do you know how I can fix this?
Every time you add anything new to your flight plan either a runway, sid or star. you have to re-save it as a completely new flight plan then send it to msfs it doesn’t automatically update if you mess with it you have to physically acknowledge that something‘s been changed by going to the load or save button and resaving
That’s a good tip! I will try that in my next flight
So many 2020 planes broken in 2024 😓
True but this is the 3 parties creators issue not MSFS 2024. However so far the PMDG DC-6 seems to work find i also added the PMDG 737-700 is ok but it is not as stable as the DC-6 is. The PMDG-777 just crashes all the time
Not a big fan of the new flight planning tool, I will be sticking with my Navigraph Charts and my Simbrief. They just seem to work better.
i hear you. just me i have elected to turn mine off for now. i may change my mind later.
I tried first shooter a few times. Whiteknuckle stress load, pass lol
lol i know what you mean. i am not very good at it but i do enjoy it from time to time
@@streamgamerz6542 Ever drive the VW bugs or 4x4's in beamGL? Or the russian combat sim? I like dog fighting lol although Im sure that can be yet another white knuckle flight
G'day mate. Have you ever checked out beamGL? I love the VW Bugs in there! And 4x4'ing around the mountains and trails. Looks like a lot of fun too. Just while Asobo Studio's gets their act together and finish with the updates for FS24! lol. This nav program looks promising but its like the FS24 nav and it showed bizzare approach locations that are rediculous lol. What does SkyVector do for navigation planning?
You loaded the full flightplan as saved on the web-tool, but then you entered manually a departure airport and a destination on the first page of MSFT 2024 which overrides the actual plan and puts it back to straight point-to-point, which then was loaded into avionics by you. ONLY use the EFB, don't enter anything manually on the starting page - imho
I believe i did that after it did not work. I will test again and report results
This time and loaded it as a save again made no changes. But when i loaded to avionics it only added the departure airport and SID . no destination , star or approach. Have you gotten it to work correctly?
Baldur's Gate 3 was very polished upon release and the rest of the gaming industry was very upset by being shown up.
that good to hear. for my gaming life i cant think of 1 game i played that did not have issues. i assume there are some
I started day one at launch and have barely had any issues. My graphics and LOD in-game looked a little wonky for a few days, but it has all been fine for days now. It has a few bugs here and there when I play, but I have had nothing but a wonderful time playing.
That’s great to hear you’ve been having a good time with the new sim, i have for the most part as well
Why does 2024 look so washed out? That's not realistic at all. Let's all be honest and call it for what it is.
yes you most correct. one thing was how the weather was set for 2024. Also it was still the Alpha test. Currently in full release it does not look that way at all
@streamgamerz6542 yes, it does. Perhaps some monitors may mask that washed out color, but it still lookes washed out, particularly if compared to msfs 2020.
Langley no longer has two control towers yeaaaa.😊
oh really? so 2024 took one out?
Nice job! You may have already figured it out but ... the yellow warning indicates that one or more parking spots are not connected to the runway via TaxiPaths used for ATC taxi clearance and AI surface movement. If those features are not required, it can be ignored. Enjoying your channel. Hope to see more on MSFS 2024 SDK!
Thanks for the info. i know that connecting taxi ways to the runway resolves. I have a sdk video out for 2024 recently posted
Hahaha, my UA-camr Zeroblog still cant get on and fly lol. Poor guy. I suggested he delete FS24 and redownload it fresh. Hes on the X. WOuld you concur?
I think so as well. Although i do not have a Xbox so i am not sure how that all installs and works. I would also want to know more details? like when you say he cant get on and fly, what does this mean? No network or the sim will not load at all or partial load?
2020 with google or bing maps is still the way to go
thanks for you comment
Mere hours away now from release, happy flying!
:) well the launch was not great here's to hoping they fix it
yesssss super excited!!!!!!
:)
Hmm, Id just wait 24 hours and let the masses continue to play mode.
Some will just wait. I for one will not lol
Hello my man! Good stuff here! Yes, we are excited.
Same here!
Always check your audio :-)
Thanks
Weird thing is, I've just tried this on my tablet and the volume seems fine. On my desktop I could barely hear you even when I turned the volume right up
your title says MSFS 2020, u mean 2024
Thanks for the correction
does fs24 have real volumetric fog and can it be adjusted in weather setting
There are adjustments for weather and if i remember correctly there are more in MSFS 2024 than there were in MSFS 2020
The one on the right is it a pay-ware? Thats doesn’t count if ur comparing a pay ware scenery vs default
No its not pay ware. There is some free ware scenery from fligthsim.to out there and i think i miss spoke that i had some of it installed but i do not
I appreciate the vid, but no one says 'tubeliners'. not sure where you picked that up, or if it's just a nonsense slang you use. (which is fine of course) I'm just saying I have been around aviation for a long time, and I have never heard the term. As a content creator, you might want to use more universally excepted language.
Thanks for the correction. I was a term given to me a long time ago back in FSX days i think in Version 9 or something.
@@streamgamerz6542 That's interesting. It is a neat term, it just hits the ear weird....ya know?🙂 I'm a FS 2020 player that is fed up with the problems, and am considering an alternative. Good luck with the flight sim content, and keep the blue side up!
Thanks and sorry to hear you are fed up. What are the top 1 or 2 issues that make you consider this?
lmao i love your microphone
lol
The main problem is internet connection... this is all moot if the extant issues with lost connections continues... especially given that it is even more important in 2024.
Very true however internet has gotten a lot more reliable. I am more concerned for those who do not have unlimited internet. I know several of my friends in the USA that have data caps and this will make streaming more of the sim restrictive for them
I don't know why, but the reflection in the water is always so intense in simulators. In real life, the surface doesn't reflect that much, unless it was a completely still water surface without any breeze.
i hear you. however in this case i believe it was set to clear sky's and so there would be no wind
Really enjoyed your VID. Been flying since Sublogic's FS2, so glad I have made it this far to see todays Flight Sim. Yep, like a kid waiting for Christmas! tomswfl
Glad you enjoyed it!
I too started with FS2 in 1984 and have the same feelings as you.
You are not meant to delete a Discontinuity that follows a Manual. It's there for a reason
yes it is . its there for atc to vector you . however there is no live atc and so i just remove it and effectively vector myself to the next way point
The juddering is a frame generation thing. Pressing Alt-Enter twice fixes it (until it happens again).
Relieving pressure on you cpu is a more permanent fix. High LODs, AI traffic and the cabin itself (which can be turned off btw) are causing the cpu spikes which break frame gen
What does ALT Enter 2 times do?
@@streamgamerz6542 It toggles your sim from whatever mode its in (say windowed mode) to full screen then back again and this will fix the shuddering, A more permanent fix is to reduce settings that impact your CPU. The a380 itself takes some cpu grunt so you need to free up some performance elsewhere
2020 *does* use multithreading. The fact that the main thread can get flooded does *not* mean it is single threaded. Even in the times of single core processors programs could multithread. Multitasking OS's wouldn't work without it
i see that its just not anywhere near as affricate as its in msfs 2024 i guess
Appreciate the video man, but guess it's hard to compare one unfinished product vs a full version.
Yes it sure is , however we can see what we have now just starting out compared to a sim they have been working on it for 4 ish years and realize that after sometime MSFS 2024 will be just that more great
An 85-year-old who has been simming for over 40 years, I feel like a young boy who can't wait for Christmas! So looking forward to seeing what this sim has to offer. Unfortunately in the Alpha test, I was unable to see the world through my new Pimax Crystal Light, but have high hopes that it will be at least as good as in 2020. Thanks for taking the time to inform us about the new sim in such great detail!
Thank you for your comment. I am equally excited for the new sim. I assume for what i have seen it will be as good and likely much better than MSFS 2020
You'd have seen so much changes.
Me too but only 57
Just a quick correction regarding tornados , these won’t spontaneously spawn in the open world .. They will only be available during missions , and with the section about the sim crashing at your local airport , it was an alpha and warning gamers about it was a bit pointless as the build was not complete .
thanks for the correction, Yes it is Alpha and i am sure that mission issue will be corrected.
I love how you explained mutli-threading out of the gate, that is something a lot of people don't understand. I currently have a 7800x3D (16 threads) and only a fraction of it it is being used... meanwhile my RTX 4090 is at 40%... Hopefully i get to experience all the graphics and fidelity and framerates in VR with all the performance improvements. Can't wait until Nov 19th.
Thanks for your comment. I to cant wait see you in the sky's MSFS 2024
Thank you. Very interesting and informative comments.
Glad you enjoyed it!
It looks like the windshield is UV damaged and needs to be replaced on the 2024 scenery. The 2020 version looks like a brand new windshield was just installed. I used to install new ones as an A&P, I.A. I'm not in favor of MS including scratches and smudges as part of the realism. I am here for the scenery, mostly.
Thanks for the comments
24 looks colourless and sparse. I hope it improves.
I am sure they will after all this is the Alpha release
Hard to compare a finished & maxed out 2020 with a new improved w2024 at this point. I think that based on Asobos track record, we should have fairly high expectations with the usual growing pains. Even if they were close to same, which the're not, we still have much faster loading times, less storage being taken up, win 11 H24, multithreading & we have years where I have no doubt that Asobo & MS will keep improving on the sim. Remember FSX ? 😉
I completely agree with you. and yes we would all do well to remember the evolution of FSX
At 25:18, what you called the north arm of the Fraser RIver is actually Burrard Inlet, and not connected to the Fraser at all. I hope the Iron Workers Memorial bridge is modeled in 2024. Additionally, it looks like outside of the city core, there is no more photogrammetry, the buildings at Metrotown are just wrong, and as you fly back up the Fraser River, the rail bridge, Patello, Skytrain bridge, and later Port Mann bridges are missing or just “roadways”. This make me sad for 2024, I hope that this is all updated and fixed in the final release.
Assume i love all the info you have provided. I think i got that info from Little Nav Map, so clearly it wrong lol. I do believe the scenery will be belter on release
Way too much autum color, its not Vermont, USA here. MFS24 has more realistic amount of foilage though. Cruise ships, not real. Lucky if you see more then three at any time, two docked and one in transition...The mountains are called the Coastal Mountains. Rockies are next to Alberta.
thanks for the info
trees look great but its lipstick on a pig, the trees are stuck to a rather low quality terrain map
thanks for the info
The fall colours in Vancouver are wildly inaccurate. Our province is predominantly evergreens.
thanks for the info
Flying over the gulf islands, the autumn foliage seems too intense because the islands and mountains are predominantly coniferous forests. It kinda makes it look like the forest has suffered at the hands of the pine beetle. I like that the Fraser River is more accurately represented - it is a muddy river so seeing the proper colouring will add authenticity to the flying experience around the lower mainland. Thanks for the comparison! It was nice to see some 2024 footage of my neighborhood👍✈️😎
thanks for your response.
Having lived in the area my whole life, I agree the trees are primarily evergreen through most of the Gulf Islands, Saltsrping Island, and Vancouver Island. I really hope the final version of 2024 doesn’t have cruise ships at Deltaport (Intermodal and Coal terminal)…. LOL. The Fraser River looks so much better in 2024, I’d almost say it’s not murky enough, there is so much silt brought down down from the mountains. Mt Seymour, Grouse Mt, and Cypress look more accurate as well. :).
I was going to make the same comment. 90% of trees on the west coast are evergreen and flying over you would see just small splashes of autumn colours. This looks more like Ontario or Quebec than coastal BC.
Apples/oranges issue. 2024's tech alpha does NOT include photogrammetry data that wasn't present at launch and does not feature the updated satellite imagery.
right. this is what i heard as well
Try comparing to reality. It's quite illuminating. You can use real flight videos on youtube or google earth 3D and photos. Tree placement is often disappointing. It often looks pretty good in sim but nothing like the actual places.
thanks for you comments
can you fly over maine pls
I can in MSFS 2020 but MSFS 2024 Alpha test is over so i do not have access to it just yet. however once it releases i certainly can
@@streamgamerz6542 oh alright its fine :)
Ive looked at some pictures and indeed the river looks exactly like the 2024 one
thanks for you comment
I notice they haven't fixed the problem with bridges where the road and traffic runs along the satellite image of the bridge on the surface of the water under the modelled bridge. On closer inspection, maybe the traffic is running on the model and they are flat images of traffic underneath.
one can only hope that when it releases it will be beter
The Airport name please ?
