Flying over the gulf islands, the autumn foliage seems too intense because the islands and mountains are predominantly coniferous forests. It kinda makes it look like the forest has suffered at the hands of the pine beetle. I like that the Fraser River is more accurately represented - it is a muddy river so seeing the proper colouring will add authenticity to the flying experience around the lower mainland. Thanks for the comparison! It was nice to see some 2024 footage of my neighborhood👍✈️😎
Having lived in the area my whole life, I agree the trees are primarily evergreen through most of the Gulf Islands, Saltsrping Island, and Vancouver Island. I really hope the final version of 2024 doesn’t have cruise ships at Deltaport (Intermodal and Coal terminal)…. LOL. The Fraser River looks so much better in 2024, I’d almost say it’s not murky enough, there is so much silt brought down down from the mountains. Mt Seymour, Grouse Mt, and Cypress look more accurate as well. :).
I was going to make the same comment. 90% of trees on the west coast are evergreen and flying over you would see just small splashes of autumn colours. This looks more like Ontario or Quebec than coastal BC.
Apples/oranges issue. 2024's tech alpha does NOT include photogrammetry data that wasn't present at launch and does not feature the updated satellite imagery.
I notice they haven't fixed the problem with bridges where the road and traffic runs along the satellite image of the bridge on the surface of the water under the modelled bridge. On closer inspection, maybe the traffic is running on the model and they are flat images of traffic underneath.
At 25:18, what you called the north arm of the Fraser RIver is actually Burrard Inlet, and not connected to the Fraser at all. I hope the Iron Workers Memorial bridge is modeled in 2024. Additionally, it looks like outside of the city core, there is no more photogrammetry, the buildings at Metrotown are just wrong, and as you fly back up the Fraser River, the rail bridge, Patello, Skytrain bridge, and later Port Mann bridges are missing or just “roadways”. This make me sad for 2024, I hope that this is all updated and fixed in the final release.
Assume i love all the info you have provided. I think i got that info from Little Nav Map, so clearly it wrong lol. I do believe the scenery will be belter on release
REX AccuSeason (Advanced Edition) is an excellent add-on for MSFS2020 seasons. Looks just as good as the seasons for MSFS2024, and unlike the first version, this reverses the seasons in the Northern & Southern Hemispheres. Still looking forward to MSFS2024. Heard MSFS2024 has wake turbulence. Should be a great addition, but hope they make it realistic. (strength, duration, ect.). Most of the cruise ships are in wrong locations. There is a ship port near where the Canadian Expo 86 Pavilion was, and several ships can be seen near the Lion's Gate Bridge. They seem very scattered in MSFS2024. Hopefully this will be fixed before release.
@@streamgamerz6542 In a real-life situation, wake turbulence drifts with a cross-wind. The vortices from the left and right wing drift apart at about 5-10kts, making intersecting and parallel runways the most dangerous for wake turbulence encounters. The larger and heavier an aircraft is in relation to the aircraft you're flying; the greater the danger. Wake turbulence usually dissipates within 2-3 minutes, even for a heavy aircraft. I just hope MSFS2024 doesn't have a B-747 flipping over from the wake turbulence of a C-152. I did some flying, that's how I'm aware of the dangers of wake turbulence. This will be a great addition, but I hope it is done accurately!
So what i remember from the Devs is the turbulence will last approximate 6 mins and its depended on the size of the aircraft. I also remember them talking about this difference between small and large aircraft as well. I guess we will have to wait and see
@@streamgamerz6542 When waiting for take-off clearance following a large aircraft, the control tower has a timer, and take-off clearance will be given to the light aircraft after 3 minutes expire. If you are in a medium or non-light aircraft, the timing and separation will be less. The greater the size an aircraft is in relation to you; the greater the danger. There is no time or separation required for a heavy aircraft following a medium or light aircraft. We'll definitely have to wait and see, but I sure hope they make this as accurate as possible. Makes the simulator more realistic. Wake turbulence is invisible, horizontal vortices forming around the wing-tip of a heavier-than-air aircraft. This is a by-product of lift, caused by the pressure difference above and below the wing. Since I did some real flying, I am a stickler for realism in a flight sim.
The run aground cruise ship is more likely to be a BC Ferries screw up. They've had a few dock ramming incidents and loosing power midway to Vancouver Island lol😮. At best, you might see a few cruise ships in Burrard Inlet, not all over the place haha. Fs24 is better realistic foliage but I doubt we look like Vermont at this time. The Coastal Mountains are by Van. The Rockies are closer to Alberta. The Fraser River is indeed, that crappy brown color.😢 My pc is an older so I shall be staying back in mfs2020 for now.😮😅
It would be nice to see the difference between MSFS+ Accuseasons and MSFS2024. Probably it will look almost the same but one cost 25 $ while with the 2024 I have to buy a new computer for running it at high spec. Not dure I will buy it soon. I prefer to wait an see ....
well i would say depending on you computer specs you may not need t buy a new pc. have you actually looked at what the requirements are and compare to what your pc is? With the multi core in MSFS 2024 i think you would be surprised how little computer specs you need to run it. i watched a video the other day. the specs on that guys pc were Ryzen 5 2600, GTX 1070 vide card and 16 DDR 3 memory and he was able to run it
Try comparing to reality. It's quite illuminating. You can use real flight videos on youtube or google earth 3D and photos. Tree placement is often disappointing. It often looks pretty good in sim but nothing like the actual places.
Way too much autum color, its not Vermont, USA here. MFS24 has more realistic amount of foilage though. Cruise ships, not real. Lucky if you see more then three at any time, two docked and one in transition...The mountains are called the Coastal Mountains. Rockies are next to Alberta.
keep in mind in the alpha test we do did not have all the actual scenery we will have when MSFS 2024 is released. i will be posting more scenery videos once its released

you are welcome, and i think so as well

right. this is what i heard as well
The fall colours in Vancouver are wildly inaccurate. Our province is predominantly evergreens.

does fs24 have real volumetric fog and can it be adjusted in weather setting
There are adjustments for weather and if i remember correctly there are more in MSFS 2024 than there were in MSFS 2020
