Hi Natsumi, I loved your video! it was really helpful Please make more gluten free videos! Thank you! :)
I'm Hispanic and growing up, we always got 1 gift per person from any person, which stopped once I became an adult lol
Hi, I recently discovered your channel and have been enjoying it. However, I noticed that your last video was posted a year ago. Are you planning to resume creating content for the channel?
I never thought about freezing sweet potato! great idea!!
That was really helpful, thanks! despite living here over 20 years, i didnt realise there were many healthy options in the conbini. i always thought they were just unhealthy... going to look for them all! arigato!
The amazake is not the only thing Sweet. Thank you
Omg yeesss. I love the japanese lesson. Very practical. Im living in japan and i am just now learning jaapanese but i think the 7-11 ladies know me well by now. Way cheaper than eating out. My husband and i are too tired to cook by the end of the day so we get 711 but im struggling to loose weight. So this is great!!!
Thank you so much! Im going to japan next year with my celiac mom for my 15th birthday and i really want her to enjoy Japanese food too, this guide is incredibly useful and definitely eases my worries❤
But I don't want to wake up in the morning. Help! I sleep 17 hours every day! I become sleepy after I wake up 2 hours later. I rarely become energetic like now (4:29 a.m.)...
Thanks for the hint for alternatives to salt. Like your style, but am vegan ... so will drop in to check you out on occasion.
Still to try Natto :) Hope I like it.
F,mb
Awesome. Arigatou!
What is healthier, bancha or sencha?
Thank you Natsumi!
Thank you so much. Yes I am a coeliac going to Japan this coming September. Your information is great but you don’t mention soy sauce - we can't eat that. And could you repeat the pronunciation of the words a few times and slowly so we can be sure. But thank you so much for this video. It has allayed my worries a little. X
It could be a nice video but the tempo and the music is annoying
i love your videos <3
Thank you!
I love these videos where you talk about the nutrition of each food. I've read in Japan learning nutrition is apart of the school curriculum in America we don't learn this/ So I really appreciate it!!
Thanks for the video. Is the 17g of protein correct? Where would the protein come from?
Hi natsumi hopefully you are doing well . Will you keep posting videos still ?
Difference between Karite vs karishite, pls? For example, can we say “ otearai wo okaritte mo iidesuka?” why “okarishite” instead of just “okaritte” pls?
I cannot emphasise how great this is - seeing the actual labels is super helpful as I'm not a big Kanji reader and like to see where I should be looking (Going in October 2024 and I've got an intolerance - it won't kill me so I'm probably going to just take peptol bismol for the worst of it but... yeah)
You so cute 🥰
I’m an American and currently in Tokyo. I have to say that your subways are so easy and straight forward to follow. It took me a couple of subway rides to fully understand. Also, the etiquette and proper behavior of the Japanese people is very impressive. I observed no graffiti or trash anywhere and the subway cars are very very clean. Other parts of the world can really learn a thing or two.
wow everything looks so healthy! thanks for the recipes!!
Hi Natsumi!! I am a new subscriber and I love your videos. I am here to change my habits into a healthy one. I have a question, Do you have a portion control of the food you eat? I have literally EVERYWHERE, that Japanese have quality over quantity and the food portions are small. But what are those measurements? For example, How many cups of rice, soup or side dishes? How big or small is the main dish? I am NEW to all this, but I am ready to start!!
Do you have any green tea brand to recommend? Thanks
Awesome video! The one about N.E.A.T. is so true. I wear a Fitbit and I've noticed that I burn more calories on days where I am walking around all day. I burn even more than on days that I do a workout. Though workouts are still important for that muscle definition and strength. Getting good sleep is tied to a lot of things. If you eat well, exercise, and try to relax, you will sleep better at night. And lastly, I've noticed that for myself, I have the easiest time having a flatter belly when I don't eat gluten. It bloats me 😩
Not gonna lie that lunch would put me on for the whole day 😂
This was so helpful, thank you
Happy new year Natsumi. I wish you all the best for the new year :)
I'm lefthanded, is it ok to hold the chopsticks in my left hand?
Totally ok! Thanks for trying using chopsticks!
Great video! I'd love to spend Christmas in Japan one day. And the amount of gifts I received as a kid here in the USA always varied from year to year-but my parents did use it as a reward / incentive for getting good grades in school-so the better grades, the more presents ;)
Thanks for your comment! That can be a great motivation for getting good grades as a kid! 👍
Many Americans eat Chinese food on Christmas. This tradition comes from the popular holiday movie “a Christmas story”. Also in America it is not unusual to receive dozens of gifts as well as a stocking or sock filled with small items. Merry christmas from your friends in America!
I didn’t know about Chinese food on Christmas! Merry Christmas and have a great new year!
Here in America the children get numerous gifts, we eat KFC on the regular, and Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for your comment! numerous gifts sound good as kids!
Beautiful video, Now I know how is Christmas is over there.
Thanks for your comment! 🎄
Love that you played the music yourself ❤❤❤ Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 I got many gifts as a child but as you grow up, you get less bc you figure out that Christmas is more about spending time with family & enjoying watching the children play with their new toys or playing games with the whole family & trying to enjoy that time together. Not all families can do that bc of differences in personalities but most people that are that way try for each other or their children bc family is important even if you don’t agree with each other on things. Putting yourself aside for the whole to have a nice holiday & get along, especially for the children’s sakes but also elderly people in the family to make beautiful memories to remember in their old age.
Thanks for your comment! That’s wholesome :) it’s a great time to spend precious time with your precious people 😊

I recently moved to Japan and so far I have done well with exercise, but my diet has not been great as I am unfamiliar with a lot of foods in the grocery store. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for your comment! I feel you a lot. It must’ve been overwhelming at the beginning. Hope I can help you with more videos in the future!
I miss natsumi san. Hope you’re doing well

Thanks for sharing. Very useful. Any advice about gluten free eating places & bakeries in Hokkaido?
Thanks for your comment! I’ve never been to gluten free places in Hokkaido. But I think this can be a good cafe for you?? instagram.com/firstbite_sweets_cafe?igshid=YzAwZjE1ZTI0Zg==

Thank you!
Thanks so much for sharing these healthy recipes with the world this helped me lose 24 kilos this year and beat obesity
Thanks for your comment! That’s awesome! 👏 I really respect the effort you’ve made!
I love the idea of splitting breakfast into two parts with exercise in the middle. That was my struggle because I don’t have energy to exercise in the morning without eating but then I feel too full and lazy to workout. Also I need to eat protein after a workout but I don’t want an unnecessarily heavy breakfast so I can also enjoy lunch and dinner and spread out the nutrition throughout my day. This video is exactly what I needed right now and I’m definitely going to incorporate your tips and recipes into my life! Thank you
Thanks for your comment! I’m so happy to hear that it helped! I feel like the same as you and this has been working well for me for long term. Hope it’s worked for you as well!
This is so helpful thankyou! I will be roadtripping around japan for 2 weeks at the beginning of october will probably be eating at conbini a lot. My friend who I am travelling with prefers unhealthy food, so I am glad to see some healthy options!
Thanks for your comment! I’m glad to hear that! Hope you enjoyed the trip in Japan!!
