Chek if “door closed” metal leaver is not bent and engaging when doors are closed. Its located in right corner near right door hinge where supply guide is.

Is it the L shaped piece of metal that sits right next to a piece of plastic that extends down from the supply guide?

@spextahd5673 yes it stinks out from device internals. It should get more to right when door is closed…

The part does not seem to move at all when operating the door. I assume the metal piece is supposed to go around the plastic bit for a proper engagement? How do i move it there without messing with the supply guide alignment?

@ if it doesn’t move, then there is something wrong inside. You have to disassemble device to see what happened or what is preventing that leaver to be springy. Maybe some spring is not attached correctly or something like that…

I am using mouser or digikey because they have wonderful capacitors search filters. I suggest to use them. And regarding 2v - you can use 4v or 6.3v also, just pick right dimensions ones. Some players have detailed capacitors list provided in stereo2go as I remember. Good luck with repairs! Cheers!

It's their most common boombox cassette mech, it's found in rx CT 990, DT 707, 909, 75, DS660 (I could go on) the point of failier if not the belts is always the gear in the centre on the font of the mech.

I think for me making it sound good is more important than getting factory W&F numbers from it. I think I'll be quite happy if I can get mine below 0.04%. I have direct drive decks that can't do that.
