THIS IS WHAT PHUKET, THAILAND IS REALLY LIKE!
Thank you for acknowledging our first nations people of the area
Yes school holidays country wide, we have our longest one over Xmas & new year which might go to end of January for most states, summer holidays is the go
Ooh we just finished filming a vlog here too. We go to Noosa National Park every New Year’s Day. The Cooroy playground close by is an awesome place for the kids if you guys are still around.
I am 75 and went on my first surfing trip in 1966 ,slept on main beach in the caravan park.Surfed ti tree every afternoon on low tide ,only 10 of us including Nat Young who was in one of the first surfing movies from Bob Evans.Has changed but still beautiful.
There's not really anything to be hyped about there. I suppose the national park makes an ok walk
You are almost in my back yard now - just 40 minutes south to beautiful Mooloolaba, the true jewel of the Sunshine Coast. Another great video thanks guys!
Sounds good we should be there soon! And I like how you said that might make that the title!
All these years and I've only been to Noosa once and that was to visit the Ducati dealer.
Thats crazy!
That's beautiful, you guys are living the dream life.
We are trying too
Another lovely video. No doubt you are aware, that when there is a decent swell, the waves that break around the national parks various points, can be epic. Especially during cyclone season. Here’s hoping you come across some good waves on your east coast adventure 😁👍
Thank you! We really hope to get some waves as well! Its been slow but even if not this trip hopefully at some point!
Another great video. Happy New Year 🎉🎉
Thank you! Happy New Years
You guys do a great job and you are so positive. You also add historical and accurate information. It's a pleasure to watch your videos.
Thank you!
Another great adventure, loved the kids at the end completely zonked out 😊
It really was! The kids finally tapped out!
G'day, For your information. The special treatment of Aboriginals in australia is a contravercial subject that greatly divides Australians. I see first hand on a daily basis how goverment policy drives a racial divide winthin the community. The "Welcome to country" is just a small example of thisand how it is a modern money driven practice with no link to traditional practices. To do more than accnowlage a tribal group as having traditionally lived in an area is concideredby some as being fooled by those trying to keep the country divided.
Yes we know. We try to stay away from offending anyone and hopefully we are as accurate with our information as possible!
Im so glad you guys are having a great time on your trip. look forward to your next video
Thank you we really are! Thank you for the comment!
School holidays Dec- end of jan then a new school year starts. Watch out for the nudist beast further on Go to Peregian beach or Marcus beach
Ok makes sense! We will watch out! Funny our hometown has a nudist beach!
Just school holidays / christmas holidays… come back in Feb and it will be dead.
I bet! That’s a bummer!
Noosa was popular 1970's ...
I’m sure it was really sweet in 1970!
The matting leading down the beach allows people in wheel chairs or using walking aids to experience the beach. My wife had a stroke a few years ago and when we went on a holiday to Port Stephen's in NSW we assumed she wouldn't be able to get her feet wet on the beach because she was very unstable on her legs and used a walking stick to help with balance. We were surprised to find a long pathway on the beach at Fingal Bay that allowed her to get right to the water. She was overcome with emotion being able to experience one of her favourite things, something people without mobility issues take for granted. Love watching your east coast adventure. Hopefully you get to beautiful Port Stephen's.
@@planetcountryradio8622 I have Cerebral Palsy & have been in a wheelchair almost 10 years. I will often drive the 1 & a half hours because they have those mats. It’s beautiful up there anyway 😎 I’m so happy your wife got to experience the beach again because of the special mats 😁Stephen 🇦🇺
That is so cool she was able to do that! Very thankful they have those! That ocean is a special place and is meant for everyone! I think there’s a good chance we make it to Port Stephen’s!
3:14 I'm pretty sure those blue mats are there so people in wheelchairs can get to the water (or closer to the water at least)
That is true
Yeah we are seeing that in the comments that is awesome! Glad they have those!
Enjoying your trip, school holidays mean very busy on the coast🎉 Noosa hinterland is worth a visit, don’t miss Emundi markets..
Glad you are enjoying it! Thanks for the tips! Hopefully we can make it there!
The climate and latitude of South east Qld is similar to Florida so you all should feel at home here. Heading south, Purlingbrook Falls and Best of all lookout at Springbrook or the Natural Arch at Numinbah might be worth a day trip. Then Broken Head Reserve south of Byron Bay, Dorrigo Plateau, Bellingen and the waterfall way to Armidale with a stop at Wollomombi Falls. You could head south to Newcastle or go back to Coffs Harbour or turn off at Bendemeer for Port Macquarie. South West Rocks, Myall Lakes National Park, Anna Bay Sandhills for more sandboarding, Port Stephens and then Sydney. Skip Bondi and go to one of the better beaches like Cronulla, Maroubra, Bronte, Coogee. An overnight in Katoomba for a trip to Echo Point and the 3 sisters, then Jenolan Caves. South of Sydney are Stanwell Tops and the Kiama blowhole. Then to Bega Mallacoota, Lakes Entrance, Wilsons Promontory, Phillip Island, Mornington Peninsula, Ballarat and the Great Ocean Road.
Ok cool thank you that all sounds amazing! Can’t wait to experience more!
Missing the Surfing footage
You and me both lol. I think we have some coming!
Have you thought about moving to OZ permanently
Yes and we would love too
How you manage to do the national park trail holding a child? You must have arms of steel?
If we didn’t we do now lol
Guys, don't forget to keep an eye out for beach side parks as you move down the coastline. Plenty of free BBQs to make good use of. You can get out of the van to do some cooking, have plenty of space and seating as well. They're there to make use of, so don't just ignore them. I'm sure any option other than cooking in that tight spot is going to be a good one lol
We will keep an eye out! We love a good BBQ!
Tree hugging.....love it! You're journey just gets better! Did I write that last time?😂
Maybe but thanks again! We enjoy the comments!
You guys are cool been to Noosa several times it is 1:24 an amazing spot , unfortunately it takes people like you to give us Ozzie’s a clout to realise how lucky we are.
Thank you! Glad we can help Aussies remember how good y’all have it! It’s a special place!
Your kids are great hikers, They will sit on your shoulders for miles. Those tide pools would have been full of oysters and corals once.
These kids are awesome and yeah I bet they were!
So beautiful! I hope to visit Australia someday.
If you ever get a chance definitely take it!
Welcome to School Holidays til 28th January this year.
Ok cool! Thank you!
Be aware this time of year Byron Bay is over run with Terrorists, oh, I mean Tourists. You will find Mooloolabah beach is worth a stop. Keep on truckin guys. Then there is Sufferers (Surfers) Paradise, lol.
Okay cool will do! We will keep on keeping on! Thank you for the tips!
Your videos keep getting better. Great stuff.
Thank you!
Noosa is my happy place - glad you guys got to see it (albeit during the busy season!)
Noosa is awesome! We enjoyed it!
G’day 💕 ya know, I’ve only lived down this way for about 14 months. I haven’t see all of Noosa yet! Too much fun on the slippery dip😊 The sound of the Rainbow Lorikeets chirping as you drove into Noosa on dusk is a sound I’ll never get tired of hearing. I asked a mate of mine who lives in Noosa & he told me it’s especially busy during Christmas holidays 😎Queensland schools go back on the26th of January 👍 Beautiful spot where the whale & jet ski were, I’m in a wheelchair so I haven’t seen that spot, thank you for showing it to me😁 ya tuckered ya kids out (wore them out)🤭 Stephen 🇦🇺
Hi Stephen! It was a great day! The school holiday was packed but oh well, we still had fun. Glad we could show you so of the area you haven't seen!
Noosa is over loved, but when that big swell hits the heads it turns into a wave machine.
I want to see it sooo bad!
I'm still waiting to see an average beach but I'm guessing there isn't any. Plus the west coast of Australia claim they have the best beaches and way less people. On the subject of beaches Australia has over 10,600 so plenty to see.
Yeah us too lol. There really isnt any lol. Cant wait to see more! We want to do the West Coast so bad!
@TheWickmansLife2024 Do you guys have email or instagram so I can message about the west coast.
Your travels are essential viewing for me. Would love it if you could make Vivid in Sydey mid year.
One of the highlights would be feeding the dolphins at Monkey Mia which is about 9 hours drive north of Perth.
@@70chevs You can also feed dolphins at Tin Can Bay and at Tangalooma on Moreton Island just east of Brisbane. The Pinnacles at Cervantes were definitely worth seeing. Loved Kalbarri and the Murchison River Gorge and Natures Window. Albany Denmark Walpole area was nice too. Ran out of time or I would have spent a few days in Esperance as well. Rottnest was another must see. The tour boat around the island and a walk to Bathurst Lighthouse and Pinky Beach are highly recommended.
How to donate to help you out and explore South East QLD / Northern NSW ( my opinion best place in AU for young family )
Okay we plan on heading south! I'm pretty sure you can send "gifts"/money through our youtube page. Others have done it on the comment its self. Thank you for the support!
Just under the video on the right you will see a heart and a $ in it. Click it and it will bring up the option.
a great video , as an aussie down south , its 40c as i type this ,came in from pool and think in years to come your family will treasure the moments , as what a family life ,on holiday is all about , time passes so quickly ,before you know it you will be 77 like me , the natural world has so much to offer
Thank you! There is so much truth to all of that! We already cherish it all! Thank you for the support!
Love it when the Kids are Knackerd .
Hi guys. You are in my territory now, as you can see it’s a nice place and as I warned you the school holidays are in force and will be till the end of the month. I’m assuming you are venturing south along the coast and from Noosa south to Victoria are the best of beaches Along the coastline you will find many places where swimming pools (ocean pools) have been built by man. Mainly in the 1930’s, often as labour projects during the Great Depression. They are just referred to as ocean pools and at high tide the surf breaks into them. They are fantastic for kids and adults. In total there are 74 in the country but the highest concentration is the Newcastle- Sydney- Wollongong coast. Please don’t miss them. Nearly all are free and have a surf and a park nearby. They vary in size from a small pool to 100yards. Often good for snorkeling too Here is a short list to look up Shelly beach children’s pool at Yamba Yamba ocean pools Sawtell pool Black head pool Forster ocean baths Soldiers beach at new castle Newcastle ocean baths Canoe pool Newcastle The bogey hole Newcastle Mere weather ocean baths merewether I’ll give you further tips along the way if you like. I believe these pools are unique to Oz Parking and finding a bus, light rail or train is a good move. Camping on the hinterland is also a good idea as it’s less crowded and cheaper. The Sunshine Coast hinterland is beautiful. Just chart a course through Cooroy down to Kenilworth. There is some free camping south of Kenilworth or camp in the Showgrounds) , backtrack to obi obi road up to Mapleton ( look for the signs to Maputo n falls lookout- flaxton, Maleny (Maleny Showgrounds has camping as does Brooloo). So my advice is to camp in the hinterland when you can and day trip the beaches You can also camp around lake Somerset
Same nearly every toosday.
Gotcha
That’s a wheelchair access ramp going down to the beach. Cool eh?
That is cool!
you 4 would fit into Australian society so well,, so glad you are having so much fun with us. Thank You.... BIG HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU.. AND please stay safe... btw Melbourne is hot hot hot at moment
We would really love to more to Australia! Its definitely a goal to have a house there! Thank you for the support! Happy New Years to you as well! Thanks for the heads up!
Very good fishing off the rocks mate and shame there was no waves for you
I know pretty bummed its been a long wait. Hopefully soon!
What the, When is Dad going to get a surf? East coast has been short period wind swell for months. Maybe NSW 🤙
I know its been forever! Hopefully soon! I think there is something coming.
Salt water and sea air - the best sleep therapy for kids. Loved the video. Happy New Year and a great 2025 guys. Will follow your journey. I think the young guy with the "thumbs up" recognised you from your posts. See you're famous!.
Yes it is! Thank you! Glad you enjoyed! Thank you So much! Happy New Years to you as well! Thank you for the support!
I’m becoming emotionally dependent to this channel. I’m way too excited when I see a new vlog! 😀😀😀😀😀🤟
Glad you are enjoying them!
Thanks!
Thank you so much! That means a lot to us! Glad you enjoyed!
I’m not sure when you were there (I’m guessing the videos are several months behind judging by the whale sighting, and comment about the cold), but holidays are always busy. Noosa has so many events, it seems to have something happening every week.
Yeah it was all good! We didnt mind it but less crowd is always better!
If heading into New South Wales, Broken Head is lovely to call in for a swim and walks. Till end of January when school goes back all the coastal towns will be pumping. You can head inland to escape the crowds.
Okay cool! Hopefully we can check it out!
