Welcome back Wickman family....While you may not notice the heat here yet, we are in the last month of Spring, and about to go into Summer, so depending on where youre going to be, you should be fine near water.....Enjoy, and look after the little ones with the sun....
Great to see you all back! The further north you go the stronger the sun becomes so don’t forget to apply suncream…often… Its extremely easy to get sunburnt by the north Qld sun especially during summer.
I was so excited to see you have returned to Oz. I love watching your family adventures. I hope you love it here even more this time. It's great to have you back and your excitement is infectious. Wishing you all the best time ever and you will always be welcome here.🇦🇺

Welcome back guys - hope you have a super time! If time permits - some of the lovely small towns like Maleny in the Sunshine Coast hinterland might be worth a slight inland detour (not too far from the coast) and in some places there are great views back towards the coast....
G'day and welcome back! Your joyous positivity is inspiring. My favourite road trip here is from Sydney along the coast to Adelaide with a few detours along the way including Mallacoota and of course Tasmania (by car ferry). Returning via Mildura, Ballarat, Bendigo, the Snowy Mountains (Charlottes Pass), Canberra, and Borwal. Pure magic.
Welcome back to Aus! Two suggestions after Bribey Island, head to Noosa Beach - check out the Fairy Pools and/or then Sunshine Coast Hinterlands (it's a drive up a mountain but beautiful region loads to see and do!)
Hope you have a great fun and safe trip in my beautiful country! I travelled around Australia MANY years ago with a mate in a Suzuki Sierra! Worst 4WD ever haha! Slept in a crappy 2-man tent. In the middle of Australia, it overheated if we went over 70 kph so we had plenty of time to take in the view! In 99 I travelled all around Europe, just a backpack. You just sort out issues as you go, nothing's a hassle when you're on holidays. They didn't have the Euro yet, so we'd have to exchange money all the time, figure out different cultures and ways of doing things. At least in Australia you don't have those problems. You just adapt and have fun. You look like you've got great kids, well-behaved. Enjoy, and welcome!
Pull over at Rollingstone 50km north of Townsville. Free camping and perfect spot for the kids to splash around in the creek. Rowes Bay Caravan Park in Townsville is also a great place for the kids. Beach is just across the road, also has playground. Kids will never get bored to their. Enjoy 😊
@TheWickmansLife2024 Ask locals about swimming the further north you travel.( We're friendly lol) I'd say from Gladstone up. The rivers and creeks look really inviting....but they ain't 🐊🐊🐊
From Sydney north through the NSW Central Coast to Newcastle is some great area. The Hawkesbury river area. The town of Gosford and the Brisbane waters area. Box Head, The Entrance, Tuggerah Lake, Crack Neck lookout at Bateau Bay, Pearl Beach, and the city of Newcastle and surrounding areas, Lake Macquarie and Nelson Bay. Hit me up for any Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast sites if you head up that way again. Love from Mount Glorious QLD.
Welcome back guys, hope you have an amazing time. If time allows for it the drive starting from David low way on the Sunshine Coast to Noosaville is beautiful. So many coastal towns to stop in and have a look at.
Stop in at Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Islands, whitehaven Beach has the most beautiful beach in the world. Explore all of Australia you can, enjoy Townsville on your way through as a chill city with plenty to experience. Great coffee in aus as well, heaps better than in usa.
Welcome back to Oz I’m going the other way next week Japan 🇯🇵 for 2 months and if you’re going up north keep an eye out on the long term weather forecast we are coming into cyclone season (hurricane) also crocodile 🐊 country big time
Agree. Babinda is beautiful and the bakery there is amazing! Be careful of the March flies at the campground there. Atherton Tablelands is also well worth a visit. So many beautiful waterfall walks up there. Please remember it’s stinger season during the summer months if visiting the beaches up north.
Welcome back guys love watching your videos while in south east Queensland checkout the Sunshine Coast especially Noosa Heads nice coast drive along David low way
As a West Coaster , you definitely need to visit us , I'd you wanna do the whole of the western side , I'd recommend doing the northern areas in winter and then do Perth and the areas south of Perth either just before winter or just after winter.

Welcome back to Australia 😊 I grew up in Qld. Bribie Island (pronounced Bry-bee) is great for fishing and letting the kids run around. Fraser Island is a huge national park, but beware of dingoes! The further north you go, the more tropical and humid the weather will get, especially at this time of year. The Whitsundays are beautiful, as is Magnetic Island off Townsville. Cairns is green as can be, and rains a LOT 😅 Not sure how your camper will go in the wilds of the Daintree, but I'm sure other more knowledgeable ppl will help you in the comments. Don't forget places like Kuranda, Malanda and Millaa Millaa in the Atherton Tablelands west of Cairns. Gorgeous area with waterfalls everywhere ❤
Welcome back. So heading up north it will be warm but the humidity can be a killer, luckily you've missed most of the wild weather but there's more on the way so steer clear of wet dirt roads as that van will bog down fast.
@ yeah next time then. You will probably want to stop at Bells beach if you do. One of Australias best known surf spots. Which you probably know already. I look forward to seeing your new videos.
You might find Bribie a bit of a let-down - it's nicest if you have a 4WD and go up the beach a bit. It's pretty quiet but still pretty. On your way up to the Daintree, I hope you spend some time at one of the nicest places in Qld - The Whitsundays. Sometimes you can get a deal and rent a whole house for about the same price as the hotels on Hamilton Island. As the whole island is owned by the same company, even renting a house you get the use of a golf buggy to get around, and are allowed to use the hotel pools - and kids eat for free. You must then take a trip to Whitehaven Beach - but take shade with you! Another way to see them is to do a bareboat charther - I've done this 3 times now - and you can take the boat wherever you want. Good luck!
Where the surf disappears heading north is around the point where more water based dangers start. Crocs, irukandji and sea wasps (box) jellyfish, besides the normal stuff.
