Leupold is going to fail as more companies come out with vastly better values. I have 5 Leupolds but am selling them to but everything from Arken to Tract to Burris. More features and way less money. The Leupolds have terrible eyeboxes. I have a 8.5-25 LRP and I can’t find a crisp sharp edge ti save my life. Never again.

I just got a weatherby vanguard chambered in 6.5 300, it’s the best gun I’ve owned so far, super flat and very little recoil, I’ll be hunting elk with it come October for sure.

It might be a good knife but 1.5 ounces of metal should not cost $225. It's great that it's made in the US, but it should not cost this much for a small knife. Hard pass! 👎

Im excited to pick mine up after I recover from christmas shopping for my kids. I have experience with packs this same size for 3 night / 4 day outtings so those extended weekend hunts should be very achievable with this, plus the rifle carry built in and the packout load panel? Im excited to test and see if it really lives up to my expectations.

Where are your down puffy pants and coat?! In those conditions you NEED serious puffy gear to sit and glass for any length of time as you found out. Stuff with 5+ oz of down fill minimum. Skip all the hunting brands and check out feathered friends, western mountaineering or nunatak. Best bang for the oz. Hunting brands seldom have near enough fill. Of course i almost never wear it while moving, thats not what its for.

it has the same issue many packs have now, the clips on the buckles if not made of a sturdy material will break

Why do the compression straps run over the side pouches? Most modern pack ( last 15yrs or so) do not do this. They will have a slit for the strap to run next to the bag or designed the compression straps so that they do not cover the same area as the side pouches. It restricts how you use the pouches.
