The UNLV Trumpet Ensemble Performing for ITG’s Preludes!
The UNLV trumpet ensemble performed for the world’s largest trumpet conference: the International Trumpet Guild Conference held this year in beautiful Anaheim, CA! We had two groups perform but only managed to get a complete recording of our second group performing Morales’s Divertimento in Blue. Photos of various conferences activities have also been included. This was an excellent conference!

Analyze your trumpet playing and find ways to work more efficiently. This can come in a variety of ways. But, it starts with limiting extraneous movement whether that be with mute changes, page turns or hand position.

This is by far my favorite recording of this piece!
Sometimes the rotary is easier in the regard to the mechanics! Because compared to a piston trumpet 🎺 there is less resistance with a free'er blow 🍃. On a piston there are holes 🕳️ in the valves which create slightly more resistanse behind the overall response. Sometimes though resistance isn't always a bad thing.
CHAT,I GOT BIRD ON HIS HEAD!!!!
GET JUDGE I HAVE LAMP
Too many trumpets you say
Hi kite
What a gorgeous sound!
Wonderful, Barbara!, are they all your students? Congratulations!
Yes, they are!
Thanks for posting this! Great way to start the day!
I thought you finally got a natural trumpet. I was very excited. Take the plunge!! 🪠
Flight of the barbiebee
How could I obtain this arrangement-both parts? For myself (trumpet) and 17 year old granddaughter (piano). Absolutely beautiful and brings a whole new dimension to ‘Simple Gifts’.
what a nice!
I like the Eb better; however, the C trumpet sounds so beautiful too.
Brandt Studies are another good resource 🎉
Thanks a lot Barbara, see you in Dallas next year…
Oh god the comments are all just about Lobotomy corporation and Item Asylum

Man you guys shone like a *torch!* Honestly it’s hard to *judge* your question due to this video, though here’s some unrelated suggestion: have you thought about getting a pet *bird?*
TOO MANY WHAT???
TOO MANY TRUMPETS

Great performance, before now I didn't really like trumpet but this performance made me develop much love and interest for trumpet. Bravo
incredible playing. Great lesson.
I like the R2-D2 noises.
That was the first lesson I ever had on high trumpets. Thank you. (Love the photo in the back ground).

🎷🐋
Eb, like God intended!
Teach me
That performance was very lovely!! This is the first time I've heard this song
This is a movement from the Bach, Cello Suites transcribed for trumpet.
Are they not both the same key?
Yes, but the first example is on a C trumpet, the second is on a Bb trumpet. I transposed the C trumpet so that the pitch would remain the same and I would eliminate one variable.
@@batrumpeter okay I understand. I was hoping you would play the same song in different keys and we’d see the difference in tone. The transposed one sounded identical, but idk if that was the idea
I would add one more consideration - how the notes lie on the instrument. Sometimes I’ll switch from one to the other to end up in a better key. I may use a b-flat rotary to avoid playing in C with a lot of open notes that I can’t adjust with my slide. Or maybe on C trumpet I have a lot of in the staff e-flat to d-flat combinations requiring constant slide adjustments, but if I switch to b-flat it’s now f and e-flat. 😊
Yes, absolutely. Good point!
Many thanks!
Not the point but you look a lot like Sweden former prime minister Magdalena Andersson
🤣
I'm in band at school but I'ved never heard that
