Hello y'all, this channel is just going to be about how to do basic DIY stuff on cars. The DIYs are simple stuff that most people can do at home without much experience working on cars. I'll primarily be working on personal vehicles or vehicles of my friends.

#brz #gr86 #MTEC A quick initial impression of the MTEC Clutch Spring. I have not driven the car yet. I plan on giving an update at 100 at 1000 miles. The clutch feel is much better. There is no longer a kickback of the clutch pedal. I do hate the feeling of the dead play, but it isn't too noticable when you have shoes on.

Hey y'all just a quick video on where the clutch slave cylinder is so you're able to bleed the clutch fluid for any reason. I'm switching out from the stock DOT3 to dot 4 to have extra buffer room. Its also because I have some left over dot 4 fluid and don't want it to go to waste. #brz #gr86

Bad battery, I’ve owned my Acura for about 6 years now. Take out the battery and let it sit for an hour or two and get a volt meter and check it or just take it to the store. If you leave it in your car and get it checked it will pass every time.
@@JuanR76 Yes, I know it's a battery battery. That's why I put it in the title. Replacing the battery fixed the issue.

Moral of the story for me is I am going for the Milwaukee M18 fuel (1/2"). Sad cuz my ecosystem is DeWalt. So now I gotta buy another expensive battery. But if you want the best torque...
I used my 1/4 Dewalt impact driver for axle nuts on a Honda Accord lol rack and pinion was gone changed a few things with that impact and its still running its an older one but still works
You can also fix the dead play by adjusting the clutch sensor with a 14m wrench.
Will you shoot the video soon?
Muffler delete also or just GReddy exhaust?
@@dustinthewind8478 It's a catback exhaust. It replaces the entire exhaust system behind the catalytic converter.
I have a k20z3 that grinds 4th if I shift fast I have tried all these oil and nothing works save your money and just buy oem at the end of the day oil is oil I change my motor oil every 1-2k miles with super tech Walmart oil with no problems
A little tip: Toyota was actually kind of stupid for once and made a mistake. From factory, the fuel pressure regulator “vacuum” line is actually connected to the intake before the throttle body, so no vacuum. If you T the line into an actual vacuum hose, like the EVAP line that is right there on top of the intake manifold, it will give you significantly better gas mileage (won’t run rich at idle anymore).
Fuck yeah thanks dude
Just had to have the transmission replaced in my 2017 TLX. It’s faulty sensors inside the transmission. They built it as a non dealer serviceable component inside the transmission valve body. Need an Acura certified rebuilt transmission to truly fix it.
Very good & informative video! I would like to know so far how do you like the Yellow Koni shocks/struts? I need to replace the stock & worn out shocks/struts in my CW2, and I'm evaluating different options, including Koni Yellow & KYB GR2. I've also checked a couple of coilover kits, however I'm not sure if there're any that keeps the stock or almost stock height. I'm willing to lower my CW2 around 0.75" and so far the coilover kits I've seen start the drop at around 1.5", that's why I'm thinking about using the Koni or KTB. Thanks!!!
I liked it a lot. Koni Yellows + Tein H Techs/stock springs was more comfortable than Fortune Auto 500s. I'll still take Fortune Auto 500s because it handled much better.
The suss part was hilarious, thank you for that lmao
Where are vacuum lines going into power steering?
Also you don't put fluid in the bottle?
For a gravity bleed, you open the bleeder and let it drip out. You don't push the clutch or brake pedal using the gra ity bleed method. You know it's done when the new fluid starts to drip into the bottle or you see the capacity of the system contained the the collection bottle.
How do you know when it's done
Is the 2022 oil change any different from the 2024?
No. The oil changes are all the same for the twins.
Those things drink gas like hell.

Perfect, to the point! Thanks!
I appreciate the support!
Where did you get that intake tube?
Whatd you use for sound deadening and how to install?
I used Noico 80 mil butyl. To install it to need to remove the carpet/covers/door panels. You then use isopropyl alcohol to degrease/clean the panel. Once it's dried, you'll cover just enough of the exposed metal for it to pass the knock test. You then use a roller over it. You do not need 100% coverage, 25% is the sweet spot. Butyl does NOT block road or wind noise. The butyl functions to reduce resonance vibration. In essence, it adds mass to the panel to prevent it from vibrating while driving.
I have a 2013 TSX and this is still the best video for our model year. I drained out 2 quarts but only managed to put in 1.7 quarts before it was dripping out of the fill hole. I don't know if it's because it's on stands OR if they just overfilled it a bit a the factory. It shifts fine though so I'm going to leave it for now. I used Honda OEM manual transmission fluid and I think 2 litres / bottles is enough. The fluid I drained out at 10 years + 100,000 km was very dark/black so it was definitely time to do the change. I accessed the bolts by removing the driver front wheel. Had to use a bunch of socket extensions ot access the bolts. Spray brake cleaner afterwards so you can keep an eye/make sure no oil leak. Thx for the video
If your car isn't level on jack stands, you can easily underfill or overfill the transmission. In your case, you underfilled it. When my car is level on 4 jack stands, I can put in about 2 to 2.1 qts.
very sus

@@weretheyattho2364no used bmw is a good 1st car unless you got money bro
@@weretheyattho2364bmw is more than jus fixing shi wen it breaks you gotta do preventative maintenance and buying em used you don't get to do that so it don't be reliable, they fun to drive best cars ever but if you not having paper don't even bother
if it's straight up non dirty oil fluid, you could just leave it too
Ty bro I did not want to start jerking and twisting my shit without a tutorial first, good video bro, nice knob.
Is it turbocharge?
Did you notice any decrease in the harmonics/tire noise that come through the firewall after installing them?
Battery is good. Starter is bad.
After changing the battery, the car started up just fine.
how wide are the wheels?
Stock size of 17x7.5.
I have developed a slight knocking noise after I installed these and it seems to be coming from the area where they connect to the firewall. Did you notice any added noise?
No knocking noise on my end. Make sure everything is tight and the joint is straight and not flexed.
Where can I buy a socket set for this??
What about torco mtf?
Having the same problem with my car idk if it’s the starter ,battery or due to the cold weather can someone help me please when I start the car it’s starts this clicking sound
Do they come in a neutral setting out off box or full soft/hard?
this video is the push i needed to get a new shift knob for my 86. I love how clean the stock one is, but it's just a bit too small for my liking.

Thank you! I'm having this same issue on my 2005 Honda CR-V in the wintertime which has a 5 speed manual gearbox. I'm going to give this one a try!
I just ordered these and noticed the part # on the box says E4010CC000 instead of E4010CC100 - I assume you ran into the same thing as that is what you noted in your description. Maybe that E4010CC100 is the kit including that hardware. Plan to put them on today.
I did that have that issue. The part number I ordered is the part number listed in the title.
So they installed without issue. First impressions are I can feel the difference. Steering feels a little heavier but the harshness of adding my RSR down springs is gone. Basically it smoothed it back to a stock ride but stiffer if that makes sense. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks for a great, to the point, video. Noise reduction is of most interest, to me, since we're considering buying a 2014 TSX wagon, which is known to be noisier than the sedan. If we buy it, I'll look into improved suspension bushings, to better control NVH. Braided brake lines aren't that expensive but I'll speculate you'd have seen the exact same improvement from just replacing the brake fluid.
I've bleed the brakes numerous times, it always felt the same with a mushy dead spot. The addition of stainless steel braided brake hoses was the fix for me.
How about knocking?
Good 👍
Appreciate the support!

Your PFP is Roblox kid. Leave the adults alone.
nicely made video dude, just wondering what the benefits would be from a flexible v-bar? wouldn't the stock rigid one offer more rigidity?
I haven't measured it yet, but the STI v bar does feel heavier and seems to be thicker. The stock bars are hollow and feel lighter. Having a flexible bar improves NVH and comfort over bumpy roads, but improves handling in the corners. The pillow ball inside the bar locks its position during cornering. I do notice that the front end is quieter and more comfortable over bumpy roads now. The handling and steering response has also improved. The steering response is sharper and more instant.
There are tones of information from STI Japan online and on UA-cam. As someone who has had a Cusco (stiff) strur tower bar on my 2016 Forester for 3 years, and now just under 7 months with a STI (flexible) strut tower bar the difference is incredible. STI engineers are not joking. The tolerances and compliance between stiffness when corners and turning and comfort it perfect. I found the cusco too stiff and would make the car bounce and even act strangley when cornering. STI calls this preload.
Yayy for STI performances parts. Congratulations and hope you enjoy!
Having this same issue took it to the dealership. They stated the battery is good, but never answered my question on why it would be doing it. They say well it’s starting every time now.
Typically a bad alternator causing the battery to die
Push start could also be the problem
Wanting to do the same thing to my manual cu2 with 200k miles. Wanting to get atleast another 100k out of it. I'm wanting to swap in another transmission because my synchros are shot. Is a k24z7 transmission a direct fit? It's got lsd and easier to find
You should be able to swap the internals of the transmission. As for direct fit, that I cannot answer.
I don’t know if you are still wondering if it fits yes it does. I took one from a 2012 civic si and everything bolted up no issues.
@@justinwarren1772 was it worth the extra cost for LSD?
@@codybain6788 yes it is def worth it. The cu2 should have come with this transmission from factory. I don’t know why acura screwed that up lol. The civic and TSX are both from 2012 and share a similar drivetrain package. But the car drives completely different for the better. Def worth the money spent.
I probably spent 2500$. 2k for trans and 500 for clutch/flywheel, mounts, fluid etc… no labor as I am a tech at a dealer.
what is that caution light in the dash mean i’m planning on owning one of these but is that light serious or expensive to fix?
I think it's the tyres they need air
Tps Sensors nun major just avoid it
TPMS. The batteries are dead aren't worth repairing or changing out. We sold the car afterwards since we didn't need it anymore.
