Omg watching Angram getting stomped by mutants is so nostalgic to me... In my first game ever I had like the hardest time with this mf .. :D I even died on morning respawn while he had 1% hp ... And then I came again just to see him die to mutants so I just harvested .... Gosh it didn't even feel good after all the strugle.. :Ddd btw I love your content. I really do wish I was a multi millionaire cause I would fund this game forever. I would only ask for 4 things eventually. Dungeons. Runes from said dungeons that buff your magic passively. Earning runes from specific dungeons would be of a set magic tier like chaos, ice and such and thats 2. Add catchable mounts and monsters like a monster den in your castle to have rare creatures and can only use one of them in base defense. But you can ride the others. And army raids like 20 skeletons in a war room you make creating an army with like 2 catapults and can send them to open up someones base. Not for the assaults. But just for the flair. Make them low leveled like 40 but if you sieged a new player without being actively involved would be a fun experience and heart pounding for them but it would be more engaging. Also what if the passages was just a underground map. Smaller sure but all interconnected like the underdark in dnd. So moving through would still be risky but faster to be sure
i wanna see a limit of how many weapons you can have equipped at the same time, maybe like 4 so 1 hotbar side, would increase diversity further
As a PVE player I absolutely want a castle siege event! We as we as players spend so much time killing, stealing and destroying the NPCs ressources so it wouldn't be crazy that they get so pissed off after a while and form an angry mob that goes after the castle in order to eliminate the threat ruining their peace. The set up could be as simple as. Level 1 - Just simple workers and like a dog or two Level 2 - Higher level enemies depending on the region like militia and bandits hired as mercenaries or something a couple wolves or a bear Level 3 - Basically any group of enemies (depending on the region) and/or animals plus one of the roaming V Blood holder. It will vary depending on the level of the highest V blood defeated, region of the map, castle heart level, whether the player is actively playing or not etc etc there's so much that can be done honestly I just hope they do implement something that gives you a reason to defend your castle in PVE.

@@terribletimmy2 2 or more clans join as allies I think it could bring some cool interactions, like vampires from different clans joining as alies to defeat a player with a soul shard, or even a boss. But could also intensify the zerg problem.
II agree to some extent, PVE needs a redesign, or at least a shift to certain elements of PVP. Currently in classic PVE there is nothing to do after killing V bosses. I would definitely turn on the ability to craft in other castles. I would add shealth mechanics to make it possible to get into castles and loot them, not destroy them. (Also a filter where you can filter if looting is enabled or not on servers). If more castle hearts are enabled on servers, you should be able to claim decay castles(like you will need to spend material to make machines work again or repair some missing walls). Next if you get into a live castles heart have the ability to poison it for some time (it will increase blood consumption, machines will not work well or sometimes it will prolong production, consume more material or produce something completely different.) Rework the rat and frog form mechanics because they are useless nowadays(almost like a bear). Nowadays there are a lot of PVE servers set to a style that you can't do anything with other castles, nowadays you don't even have to close the door :D because nobody can do anything, in the past you had to be careful about these things so you don't get robbed, your slaves get kidnapped and stuff like that. Another thing that would definitely liven up the game would be missions(collect materials, destroy monsters, kill bandits, clean their camp, catch fish, deer, spiders).
I just want them to allow me to put crafting/refining speeds to instant. Even if it’s for private games only. I love the game but haaaaaaate waiting for shit to craft/refine.
I honestly agree with all you said, specially the challenge for the shard bosses. For me it would make a lot of sence, i would love it. But at the end, i also understand their thoughts of not making things crazy dificult. They already have a low "fan base" (its not a popular game sad) You can see when brutal dificulty was launched, super hype in the beginning, now who plays PVP brutal? And even if played, its soft brutal. I mean there are no servers with it anymore besides nightbane (which is dead) But i agree, i think things should be more dificult and logical, makes no sence a final boss with the name DRACULA be so easy, and killable once and its done. But at the end, they dont want to "scare" people away with tons of dificulty. Specially for PVP. PVE players have time to practice and do it all over again for 100 tries (no disrespect), but PVP is kinda different IMO, you get ganked, interrupted, etc etc (PVP sometimes feel like a rush game, fast fast fast)
I am quite a new player, finished a first solo normal playthrough recently (in pvp) and I dont feel like playing anymore, even though Id like to find a legendary. I dont see the point of doing all the farming to get stronger when the only goal at this point is fighting with others. I wish there was an ascension system where you'd have to start over but with a bonus or new mechanic. Limit to once a week so you won't get an insane power difference from these tryhards and still an incentive to progress. It would create more occasions for low level encounters/pvp. Maybe a buff that also has a downside like losing blood or hp quicker when around a boss.
So the point in PvP servers really is the journey, and then the end of the cycle is raiding and trying to "win" against other players.
I lied, 100% Scholar blood + passive is 32%. Malificer or Spellweaver amulet is +10%. 40% spell CDR is the cap, so even just running what seems like the correct scholar set, you're already wasting stats.

I am no battleroyal or moba addict, but vrising screams this to me. The combat is so satisfying.
It is incredibly satisfying. It's a game with an ENORMOUS skill ceiling and tons of emergent gameplay.
@@terribletimmy2 yesterday I wanted to pvp. I am on ps. Havent played vrising in awhile. And thats missing for me. Guessing more then me feel this. The game is top. Its not that.
The current castle siege mechanics are just a joke. I haven't tried playing on a PVP server myself, but when I see those endless doors, labyrinths of stairs, and golems, I just don't want to deal with it. Especially after watching this video (thanks for the info, by the way). The conclusion is very simple: if you want a beautiful and functional castle, then don't play on a PVP server. Also, I just can't imagine what the motivation is to make a cool castle when there are mechanics like this. In my opinion, it is quite possible to combine PVP and PVE sandbox, but the game is too small and simple for this. I hope the update with duels will come out soon, and I will be able to get the best of both worlds on PVE servers.
Mostly true, but there are absolutely ways to make a base with both form and function. One of the coolest bases I've ever seen was built by a friend of mine GrimXv, where he made the front of the base defensive, and then built the rest of the base in a way that would help with defense, but was actually an AMAZING looking castle. @@terribletimmy2 Thanks, I watched the video tour. The amount of work is impressive. I completely agree with the author - this is a real endgame. However, when I talked about the aesthetic side of the castle, I also meant how stupid and ugly the part dedicated to defense looks. It is so divorced from common sense and even from the fantasy of vampires and magic that it ruins any castle for me. And most importantly - it is impossible to have adequate defense if you do not block the ramp like some terran from sc2, did I understand correctly? That is, I can not have a garden in front of the castle, or any open area. After all, if there is no back side of the stairs in front of the ramp, then the golem will deal damage with impunity and from a very long distance. And given the things you showed in your video, I can not have areas at all that are not closed by a wall, that is, even garden fences are not suitable. If only this game was a full-fledged mmo with a huge map and a good budget, it would be priceless...

The real gap is people crazy swapping 8 weapons, some even macro that to make them more. What do you think of locking players to a reduced amount of weapons to use simultaneously ( I mean like creating classes etc)? Or that is just a “skill issue” thing for you and isn’t worth mentioning?
So the biggest issue with reducing weapons from the current 8 is the fact that each weapon fulfills its own specific role, but some of those roles are more "important" than others by a VERY large margin. Reducing weapons would result in some weapons being entirely unused by people who know what they're doing. Long sword for example is a REALLY good weapon where it fits, but isn't actually needed, and is not good as its own thing (except early on sometimes). Axes do a TON of damage, but that isn't enough of a reason to use them when other weapons are so important. Whatever they reduced the weapons to, it would severely cripple the pvp game, and would result in everyone running the same 6 weapons in like 3 four weapon "builds."
@ that was interesting to read. Although do people not use now less than 8 weapons really? Like I barely see anyone using mace or pistols in pvp, whips and xbows receive credit rarely as well. My point was to lock some weapons to specific classes. E.g. make a class with bow and 1h sword, dude becomes kite machine but struggles with engagements. Or using xbow and mace, giving mace an opportunity to exist. Or maybe add up to 4 weapons to a stock to negate their weaknesses, cause like 2h sword + whip / Slashers + spear would be insanely good compared with mentioned above.
I love how you said many times that the normal mode is easy :D But I am currently on my first play solo And it is kinda hard sometimes! I can see that in time I'm gonna say the same. But I think normal mode is just fine for new players. Can't Wait to see in some time what awaits me in brutal :D:)
idk, played on official, no gear drop, it was easy. Not sure why u need to have all the weapons etc. Maybe some guys are just taking this casual game too seriously. As fresh players, we beat dracula within 2 weeks, raided some bases, shard farming was pretty easy. Played on server with ~20 pop. Game just lacks more content or MORE rng, like weapon enchantment etc.
I'm assuming you did not play PvP. PvP servers in this game with veterans are generally VERY competitive, and 8 weapons is standard
@@terribletimmy2 i played official, had pvp, raids and all, but I dont think it is considered as competetive game, more like valheim. So I hope devs will just keep adding more pve stuff and maybe more rng, since after u beat all boses, game just stales, pvp is fun, but gets boring pretty quickly.
Agree with your suggestions about points of interests, especially those related to endgame bosses. One thing I really miss in this game is this type of 'dungeon' feel when you're looking to do bosses. The closest we've got, and one of the more memorable experiences was when I got to the spider cave in the Cursed Forest for the first time. I think the game needs more points of interests like this that feel somewhat like a dungeon. Especially for the Shard and super endgame bosses. Working your way towards the endgame bosses should be memorable and a cool experience.

This is very well-thought and full of good ideas. I hope devs can adapt and add some of these features.
Here's a funny idea, currently there's a mod that tweaks the camera such that you can play either overview or pure 3rd person, makes the game look more immerive, but there are times it can be a clusterfuck especially on bosses, however I'd still appreciate if the game would officially give us that option instead of looking for a mod The other that i thought of was adding a rifle into the game, i got the idea when battling Jade But what do you think?
I'm not really big on the first person camera in a game like this, but don't mind if people like it. A rifle could be good if it had interesting abilities. I think crossbow and Longbow have a lot of that stuff covered, but there's plenty of other things.

really interesting vid, still an hour in. I'd really want to adopt some of these strats into a pvp wipe server, of course everything might not go ideally. what would you recommend as tips or stuff to avoid generally on a wipe if one is trying to progress fast like this? avoiding fights? especially say a duo server, do you think it's generally ideal to split up or stay together for safety?
It mostly depends on your confidence in PvP and in duos, but you can approach it from a couple ways. If you stick together, I would recommend splitting up in Cursed Forest iron runs so you can clear it faster. 1 person goes to the close village then immediately returns and gets a base going for example, while the other person goes for the 2nd village. You'll need to keep in mind that you're having to farm and craft double the gear in a situation where you're going everywhere as a duo. If you split up, you'd be VERY surprised with the pace of progression you can do. One play you could do is send 1 player East Farbane and the other West Farbane. East Farbane guy is in charge Keely and the first Iron run, while the West farbane guy could try a Dunley Lumber play and focus on fast Farbane clears, or be fully in charge of the base. There's also a world where 1 guy does the strat I'm doing, and the other player goes Brighthaven. Again though, this comes down to your confidence in PvP, as well as how confident you are with early boss clears and knowing your order of operations.

I've been thinking along similar lines to you recently. I think that weapons should be limited to 4 slots instead of the 8. Like weapons can only go in the fast select slots. This would make weapon choice more important and tighten the learning curve on weapon swapping.
The issue with this is there are too many weapons that give abilities that are required to compete, and the majority of weapons would just never be used by anyone trying to actually win. Spear, slasher, pistols would all be required. You'd then pick either whip/mace or longbow/crossbow. There's too much balanced around each weapon's function to limit them to 4
I think the books we found could have more than just a recipe for weap/armor, it could have part of the history inside them, like in dark souls games
V rising unoffi pvp does reseble ark so much. I have multiple thousands hours in ark pvp and I have so much fun in v rising. And surprisingly, ark have SAME ISSUES you mentioned here! Everyone loves early game but quit server before end game even starts so every vipe last for 4 days

I'm assuming that the Hallowed Moutains is going to get expanded EVENTUALLY, considering the fact that we still don't have an Ilusion or Frost Shardbearer in the game. Edit: I wanna add my own two cents to this whole Shardbearer conversation. I feel like every Shardbearer should have a unique condition that you have to fulfill before you can reach them. They already have something like that, but I feel like it should be soomething more interesting or more imposing than that. For example, Solarus needs you to consume a Holy Resistance Flask to enter the Fortress of Light and fight against him, as the Holy Radiation would drain you down to one hitpoint otherwise. What if, instead of just having amped up Holy Radiation, the Fortress of Light had a unique debuff called "Absolute Light", which slowed you down and stopped you at a certain point once you entered the Fortress. With a Holy Res Potion, you could get to the entrance of the Fortress of Light before being stopped. With the Flask, you could get to the bottom of the stairs. Finally, you would need some kind of unique potion that grants a ludicrous amount of Holy Resistance before you could climb up those stairs and fight Solarus head on. That would be awesome, imo.
