Yeah... was very odd tbh. Some context is also missing, which is the fact that Grim beat someone else before this, that person complained, and then the 91 CALLED HIM OUT IN GLOBAL and essentially said "come fight and I'll teach you a lesson." So us laughing when that same guy lost to a 48 is not only entirely understandable, but not toxic even a little bit. It's not like we were bullying people and talking shit and THEN doing this. We're just playing the game, guy tried acting tough, and then got beat anyway.
@terribletimmy2 didn't expect to be responded to, and didn't notice until now. My comments always get buried. Well, mostly. But yeah, that makes it even more ridiculous, honestly embarrassed on their behalf, lol. I do get pissy myself if I get killed while carrying loads of iron or something on my first iron run, but mostly it's just "ah well, I'll get em next time" or "I'll get em when I catch up". And I generally don't tell them, unless it was a 91 waiting outside iron mine and dismounting me and killing me at level 36.
BTW, can you explain/demonstrate why is the bow so good? Cuz i've found it pretty lackluster to be honest. I am a PvE'er tho, but I still can't see it.
In that instance, I gave it to him because he had no other ranged options, and was getting zoned hard by pistols. In other situations, it's a combination of things. One of the big ones is the range+damage. When you add atk speed, it's extremely hard to deal with if you don't have the right spells. With a move speed crit build, a single auto atk ends up critting for over 100 damage, and you throw them out ridiculously fast. When someone approaches, you Q them away. I've been in 1v1s where I'm up by a lot, but then the enemy lands 3 shots and the gap in HP is gone. There are a lot of ways to deal with it, namely defensive spells (obviously), but if you aren't careful, longbow while annihilate you from long range very fast. There's also the fact that you can determine when the shot is fired so you have more freedom to move around, unlike something like crossbow that has a long wind up with every shot.
Yeah that combo is for sure nasty. I run it in OW when I'm solo. Super hard to deal with, especially when the other person doesn't know you have it. Can instantly burst like 50% hp with it.
