Nice job bud! I appreciate your video and attention to detail. I did find it useful 🫡
@JacobBerry-lo3bm thanks for watching bro!
Hey man! love the trtuck. i am trying to level/lift my 95 T100 i am wondering what lifti should get. Thanks!
@gtech-vr1533 what's going on! I would suggest cranking your torsion bars first, see if you like that stance. If you don't, and want it higher, I would suggest the lift spindle I did on mine, great company and good craftsmanship. The rear, you could end up doing extended leaf shackles to level the back out, because you're gonna end up having a cali sag in the back lol.
It's smart to pop out the slide pins, clean & regrease. They are bad about sticking on the Xterra & not letting the caliper retract causing uneven pad wear. And you'll be a "smooothhh....operatorrrrrr"
Appreciate that tip , I’m doing pads and rotors on a 2013 frontier and the pad ware was very uneven. It did seem like the pins had grease on them but I’m definitely about to check closer before putting the calipers back on. Something had to cause it! 🫡
Wow… what a jet… I’m going to change mine!!!
so have i banging😀
Thanks
Thanks for the insight, I picked up the RC M1 kit since im at on 170k on stock suspension. Has a 3in block lift from the previous owner and haven’t had issues for 40k miles so hope the RC will be an improvement. Running falkens - great tire and unreal in the snow I have the oem roof rack on mine at the moment, all yours if you buy me OEM seals haha Cheers
Jesus Christ, you talk like a woman. Get to the point
Risse Racing has what you want for the rear shock. I've had mine for many years.
Wish I had seen this sooner. Risse Racing makes an excellent air shock for these. I've had one on my ground control for many years. They're still in business and have great customer service. This my bike. Bought mine in 1997 brand new and still ride it to this day. Recently upgraded to Hollow Tech II crankset. Left it 3x8 running 11/28 cassette. Shimano Deore XT rear derailleur and front. XTR bits from back in the day shifter/lever combos stop on a dime. Custom wheels from Bontrager using XTR hubs. Very cool old MTB for an old man... 70 years and still kickn
Does the same Honda part work with 4th gen 4R?
Unsure michael, you will have to look that up man. Thanks for watching!
oh great I have an old Ascent
Any replacement rear shocks for these? I just purchased one but the rear shock is shot.
To be honest, I still need to get around to that, but I remember looking online for a replacement, it was a certain website, and the shock was around $300. I'm not sure if they still sell it anymore.
What kind of body lift you doing🔥 of a 1996 T100 SR5 two-wheel drive 3.4 l. Absolutely beautiful truck bro
Ebay sells a body lift for $100 I believe. That's where I bought mine. I never ended up installing it though.
@CGGarage well I am up in Oregon we should do a collaboration. I also got a UA-cam channel. Got a lot to learn but definitely enjoying it.
@Topdogchase shoot if I still had my t100, I would say sure bro! But I don't anymore. I would love to show your T on my channel some day. Would love to do a walk around.
My son bought a 1998 t100 yesterday 4-25-24 automatic transmission. It has 118000 miles one owner, excellent condition. It was $10000 at the Subaru dealership 👍. He found the late 90s truck he always wanted❤
Sweet build man 💪🏼

Love the video ☀️ beautiful day
Great review! I have a couple thoughts. For one, I own a 2008 White TRD Sport with the OEM roof rack and I have to say, it makes the truck look great. I also, however, have the paint matched handles, mirrors, and grille. They chip LIKE CRAZY. I just bought a 2012 with black mirrors, handles, and a blacked out grille, and it has handled the elements much better. On my 2008 I ran Bilstein B8 5100s (the same as the factory, but since the truck has 250k I replaced them once) and I had them set at the max height of 2in, which with some 32.5 in tires, looked great. The truck all around had about a 2.25 in lift which was perfect for me. My 2012 has old man emu heavy load suspension, with a 2in in the front and a 3.5in for the rear, which looks a little goofy when it’s not loaded down. I think the Bilstein B8 5100s (and the complimenting rear shocks) seems like it would fit your specifications the best. It’s relatively inexpensive and easy to install and provides the lift you want. It also gives the same stiffness you described, which I also am a huge fan of. Sorry for the lengthy reply. I’ll be sure to follow your build progress.
Not lengthy at all, thanks for the comment! And thanks for checking out the video!
Shoot sell me your lift kit then lol. Btw great video hearing your opinion on your truck. Keep us updated on every thing
You got stock suspension if I end up deciding to sell it? Will do. Appreciate you for watching the video.
Yes i do. I have a 2011 Tacoma with 90k miles@@CGGarage
What was the 300$ fix you were saying? Thnks
I was talking about the OEM charcoal canister replacement for the T100. I know it sounds like I was talking everywhere sorry lol.
No worries i gotta replace mine too, '97 sr5 t100....i knew what you were talking about cause of where you were pointing 😅thanks buddy rad truck@@CGGarage
С - Confidence
Is there not a problem changing out a bearing with a bushing won’t this cause higher friction or heat?
According to their website, there should be no issues with swapping parts. It should last with the life span of the truck. I think it was a video of theirs, but he was explaining how they ran multiple tests, and there was no sign of negative friction effects. Look up the video on here, he goes into much more detail that I can't lol. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for replying
Bro I bought the same head unit following your video. Upon opening the box the Factory wires does not match up ( it isnt a plug and play). Can you link the wiring harness you use to connect. That would be very helpful, thanks alot keep the vidoes on Tacoma coming. PS: It seems like you unplug 4 things from facotry head unit. Did you end up using all of them on new head unit or left some plugs unused. cheers
Yeah any radio (unless specified by manufactor), you're gonna have to get the factory wiring harness adaptor. Just go on Amazon, or go to your local auto parts store, and get the harness. I got mine at O'Reilly's. Thanks for watching the video bro! Hope this all helped. What I remember, I believe I used every wiring, but I could be wrong. It's been a little bit sorry lol. My truck doesn't have steering wheel controls either, so that's a whole different thing too.
What lift kit did you get?
Got a 4" spindle lift from CustomTubeWorks from San Diego, CA
Dude I’m thinking of getting the same kit. Thanks for the video! Keep more videos coming
Will do bro. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful build ! I've two bikes, they are both single speed and have steel frame, the first one is a tracklocross bike, the second one is a Ganna Pioneer 1985 old MTB, wonderful bikes ! A tip: put a safety system (ex. a long screw) into the front top hole of the fork this will avoid a crash if you break the cable of the front cantilever brake !
Overlanding 101 ad a locker 33s 410s Air down n don’t be scared 🎉
@CGGARAGE I think those are the brightest led bulbs they offer. With those massive led chips, that’s definitely a Q16 model. Those can get warm up to 163 degrees Fahrenheit. Which is not bad.
Looking good man!
Mr. MK! Good to hear from you man! I hope you're doing well!
@@CGGarage Likewise and likewise!
Just got done installing some Sylvania 6000k Led lights in Toyota T100 pick up, and man, what a difference they made. Wish I could drop a photo of my T100, but UA-cam won't let me. I think you'd like it. Still think you should've kept your T100 as there was much more you could've done with that truck. Hell, I probably would've bought it off you.
I think I bought those same lights for my old T100, they were bright for sure lol. Might buy another T100 in the future. We'll see, cause I do miss that truck. You should drop a video on your channel bro!
The sylvania - SL.BX2 led bulbs are worth the upgrade. Like the other led bulbs with 6000k and sometimes u still get a little blue hue in it. Any blue hue on ur sylvania led bulbs? They are definitely worth it for 5 year warranty
@toyotabrony No, I'm not getting blue hue from them they're a bright, pure white.
Idk my dude....that hat says an entirely different story....Xterra owners would not wear it...just saying.
🤣 Great comment bro! I just like my Japanese vehicles. I actually have a custom made Xterra hat, it's a badass one too. Thanks for watching bro!
Where do you order the spindle lift??
Custom Tubeworks in Sandiego, CA. They got a website just google it. Good company.
If you are cleaning the rotor you should clean both sides. I made this comment before I saw you spray the other side
Cool video! Do they sell motorcycle lights?
Yes,we do.
How is the FM radio quality? I still listen to it in the morning haha
Sup Daniel, it's not bad, just depends on how you mix the sound. Originally I went with the orginal EQ radio settings such as, "Hip-hop" or "rock", but it ended up sounding really muffled and bad on the stock Tacoma speakers. I did a custom setting on the EQ again, and it sounds loads better.
Good to know thanks! I'm running Focals anyway. I hear the reception is poor sometimes on aftermarket head units. @@CGGarage

Steel bikes are the best. Built for last. I have two excelent steel cromoly bikes. A mtb Diamond Back topanga 1993, and a Bianchi mtb 1991 Cromoly. Both in original conditions, cool bikes. I appreciated your Gravel Ascent. Congratulations for the vídeo.
Play your vid at speed 1.5... i recomend taking a couple speech classes. You keep picking your nose, scratching your ears, tattoos, ankles, etc. Its extremely distracting from your content. And bro, u gota shave the pubes off your face. It doesnt look good. It looks like osama binladens 12 year old son.
Nobody cares what you think.
CG garage has no way of putting you in your place from behind the screen. Would you walk up to him in real life and say this? Sharing your unsolicited opinions like this to the wrong person will land you in hot water.
Yeap! The low-round bullbar would definitely be the best look, some come with a little built-in light bar! I Had the full grill but I removed the headlight guards, I think it looks better, I also installed a 2" block in rear and 1.5" front which raised 3"😮😮😮 don't know why, probably the torsion bar soooo I grinded the front blocks up to 1"and 1/4 so now is leveled😅 long story short
Where can I buy these spindols
Check out custom tubeworks online. Located in SD California
yup, mountain pump is needed if you want to pump your tires with mountain air, otherwise it won't work - road pumps just struggle with fresh, clean air 😁 and i agree that steel is still awesome 😁
Hahah! Great comment! Thanks for watching friend!
My hat is off to you for doing this in a carport by yourself! Your Tacoma looks awesome
Thank you for watching 👍
Awesome build buddy. Love it. I’m busy with an old Trek 4000 Alpha. It’s gonna be a long road ahead but I’m on it. Great video
Good luck friend. Those old Treks are dope.

Nice Tacoma.. Great video & thank you for being honest with issues on geometry. You don't see that often. I'm going with Bilsteins 5100's. Good luck on your lift... . EDIT ::: Please use more safety blocks or jacks. Not sure how you had it on jack stands BUT video made it looks scary & we don't want u hurt
