Nice haul and under budget! This week I have to top up some toiletries and cleaning stuff I'm visiting a few shops between tomorrow and Friday lol. It's a good idea looking what you have before you shop. We have about 5 meat things for meals in the freezer which I want to use some of this month. Air fryers are the best! I use it 90% of the time now lol.x

Asda grapes are good 2 for £2 where Tesco grapes are £1.79 or something like that for 1 pack 😕 asda large oranges are really good,I've tried tesco and aldi oranges and didn't like them 😊

Such a fabulous mummy u r rachwal i am sureyou son appreciates you and although the summer was costly i think he fully understands that u cannot just have every. single thing you.want but you can still have fun and make memories My girls are really financially well.looked.after by their father they just have to ask and they get which always unsettled me . However they all work hard and do appreciate the value of money which is a positive attribute which i taught them. I love your 10 pounds a day method . Px

I'm like you I like to go on Face Book sites. I scroll through the stuff for free and also the one that sells as well as swaps items. I tend to go through the year looking out for bargains/free items for Christmas presents. I loved the Pyjamas you got for your son, a real bargain. Lots of love x

You were exactly right about the ghost cushion/teddy. His name is Gary the ghost and he’s been very popular for the past couple of years with vloggers and people decorating their houses for Autumn and Halloween. xxx

Tuna pasta bake bulk out with frozen veg peas carrots sweetcorn etc… bolognaise ( stretch the meat with grated carrots or lentils) make two one for now one for freezer! Chick pea curry, mixed bean chilli, salmon cakes bulk them out with mash potatoes and put some away in the freezer good luck you are doing a great job!🩷 4321 buns they are a great filler for children you can put frozen berries in or chocolate drops ( 4 ozs of S/R flour 3 ozs of sugar 2 ozs of margarine and 1 egg mix together) and then bake in oven) they freeze well too!

Ive asked my ex husband if he would like to have oscar for christmas dinner this year. Hes ummed and ahhed but i think he will have him as it his first christmas in his new home. I wokt be buying all the snacks and treats this year just a few as we didnt eat them last year and now me being tyoe 2 diabetic i cant have as much as i was doing lol. Im debating giving money to the grown ups this year i have 11 adults, 7 kids including oscar and 10 teachers at school to buy for so tryjng to save on gifts where i can and temu will be a big help lol! I am so excited for christmas i will put the tree up early and add to it as i go. X

Hi rachel. Im glad im not the only one who hasnt bought all new for this school year because last years clothes are still fitting. Ive had some looks from mums at the school when ive said hes still in last years clothes lol but i dont see the point as like you said they will grow soon so the money best spent then. Oscar has school dinners because he gets them for free and he loves them! If he didnt i would do pack up. X

Hi rachel. Nose bleeds can be a sign of high blood pressure but also overheating can cause it. I used to get lots of nosebleeds when my blood pressure was high. Those gifts you got your mum were lovely. I get my dad slippers every birthday and christmas as well. Hope your mum had a lovely birthday. X

Aww rachel! I wanted to give you a big hug! They dont mean it when they say these things. Very often they are tired or in meltdown or both. Thats a shame about the food but in the hotel i found it very samey and roast potatoes were dry. Hoping in november things will be better x

Nice haul. My shopping was higher for most of the summer mainly because of the extra lunch stuff. Oscars not really a snacker so im lucky there lol! But he does love like a snacky plate for lunch. And sometimes dinner as well lol! Ive got my delivery coming this evening from ocado it was £60 down from £96 with vouchers and offers and i spent £20 in lidl so my shopping was £80 lol but i had to top up on lots of things that had ran low. So with top up ahop that will be £100 this week. But breaking it down theres about £20 of stuff thats not a weekly buy. I think you do very well with your shopping. X

Loved loved loved this video. We actually went one week without doing a shop as like you we went through our cupboards, fridge and freezer. What we had lasted us the following week. Here in Bath where I live, I tend to go to the fruit and veg stall a bit later in the day as the produce is great and they lower the prices in the afternoon. I have a nice little selection of Christmas food put away already. I tend to do batch cooking also. Lots of love x

i melt choc spread just a little bit and swirl it in my banana bread mixture instead of using choc chips its delicious. Give it go rachel.

Do you use Olio? It's an app to combat food waste. Volunteers collect food that is about to go out of date (both use by and best before) from supermarkets and list them on the app for people to request. It's a great way to save money and reduce food waste

Freach toast casserole wiyh the choc spread and stale bread and the hot dog buns.also the chocolate spread mixed with peanut butter makes a delicious oatmeal

My daughter has sensitive teeth but loves a rice krispy or cornflake nests. In order to make them less rock hard and more choccy and gooey i use half choclate and half nutelle or whatever brand of choc spread . U could try that to use up the choc spread. Or make muffins and use choc spread mixed with icing sugar and butter as a topping. My 3 girls r not big pasta fans they eat it plain with bbq sauce chopped chicken breast topped with grated cheese and crispy onions . Hopes this helps somewhat . My 3 r back at college soon so i am using down our fridge freezer and pantry only going to buy fresh bread milk eggs friot veg and yogurts for as many weeks as i can in the run up to the fun c. Px

You both had lots of fun. It's nice when children are able to make friends easily, I always found it difficult even as a child.

Mac and cheese I always add some veggies too and the creamed coconut you can add to rice and add some spices and kidney beans

I know what you mean I’ve spent too much in the hols aswell. I’ve been doing the same today. We have chocolate in porridge or you could make some strawberries dipped in choc and put them in the fridge. or pancakes are quite cheap to make and can add sweet or savoury x

Oh Rachel i know exactly how you are feeling i am 50 now and it gets harder to mask so be gentle on yourself. I cannot cope with 2 days.in a row infact 2 busy days in one week.is enough for me . I will only leave the house for about 2 hours at any one ti.e. so u can imagine how this impacts on my life. U r doing wonderful being able to.take your boy out at all.... I never.did when my 3 girls.were small.and i totally missed.out they did get to do fun activities but always with theirdad . Now as adults when they reminse its always about family time with ih invisible husband this makes me so sad px

If i was you just be honest with your son as to were toby is at it. Also online there is lots of advice on how you navigate the procees of saying goodbye to a beloved pet depending on his age category i found it was always best to be prepared.as you.will.also.need a little tlc px

You wouldnt like my shopping its between £60 and £100 every week, including top ups. We go through so many strawberries. Not so many grapes now as im not allowed them like i was having because of the sugar content. :( but thats life. It was low shop this week but thats because i had stuff in the freezer to use up. And we have been out for dinner as well one day. I think i need to start having dark chocolate at night its meant to aid digestion isnt it? Lovely haul there my favourite them jelly beans. 😍 i agree that shopping costs go down when they are at school mainly because they arent shopping with us lol! X

How kind is your mum racheal my mum did the same when my girls were young. I hope that i am in a position to help my girls out if they have children in tbe future. I am trying to sort out some suitable plans for my retirement whatever that will look like the future is so hard to plan for with the current economic climate. I've been going to Bognor for years and seen all the changes. We last went in July and had a great time, our Gold apartment was roomy and clean. I've stayed in the Wave and Ocean Hotels, my son has stayed in the Shoreline, and can't fault any of them. If you use the food court for your dining, years of experience has taught me to get bread and boiled eggs bacon etc to make sandwiches for your lunch, and take a drink bottle to fill up on juice. Also take a spoon fork knife in your bag, always good if you need a plan B. You just got unlucky with the ice cream machine, never had a problem with it. They are slowly taking away the amount of free things to do, but still a wonderful holiday and have very fond memories of my childhood and beyond. A very informative post. I am hoping to go when the escape room area is open, but will need to save a bit more spending money. 😊

Aww loving being back on here watching your videos Rachel, I've missed them ....like you I'm a list person so a list for everything, I even have a list for what I want to watch on TV, I have a hour going through the TV mag when it's released because there has been many a year ive forgotten something was on I wanted to watch.....lts great to see some Christmas things around in the shops i can't wait to get some more bits.....I've done well so far, and even picked up some shortbread and crackers for cheese this weekend to get my food box started....I definitely remember and miss the old fashioned decorations there just so homely... I am a Christmas card person bug I do know it's dying out ...tickets already bought for a Christmas carol, we always go to a local one but also a tradition we have is to go to the old Vic in London to see It, it's just magical....elf already booked too with work girls.... keep up the fantastic Christmas content I'm loving it and can't wait for the next one....xxxx
