Oh Rachel, i just want to give you a hug ❤ Spain with dad may have been exciting because it's all new - you are his constant, mums are the constant, we may not be the all exciting ones, but were the constants, and the exciting only comes once in a while. He'll apreciate that when he's grown, and you can remind him of whatche once said! Xxx

Hallo Rachel. I think, the holiday in Spain was a new experience. Moreover, the son was very tired. You are an awesome mother! You do everything for him ♥️ You are not alone..... I am solo mum too. I tried this year. Holiday in the mountains, holiday by the sea...... And my children told me- best vacation ever - with our friends - in the scout in the forest 😂😂😂

We've just booked for bognor in feb. We cant afford to go abroad. We love butlins but my eldest is 14 now and values his alone time. Think he finds it hard to do family time constantly. It did result in a couple arguments last year but at least we could send him back to the apartment to chill out and have 5 mins to himself. Family holidays are great but theres usually some arguments and tears along the way. Joys of parenthood lol
Yes I agree I love a family holiday but as children get older have their own voice and opinion there seems to be more conflict. I hope though you still get that quality time with your son when he has recharged and it is fortunate he can go back to the apartment and have some downtime. Hope you enjoy your break in February and if you see the Gladiators let me know what it was like xx
Aww rachel! I wanted to give you a big hug! They dont mean it when they say these things. Very often they are tired or in meltdown or both. Thats a shame about the food but in the hotel i found it very samey and roast potatoes were dry. Hoping in november things will be better x
I know, I think he was tired it had been a busy few weeks for him. He told me he loved me after and I was the best Mum in the world so I know he didn't mean it. I hope it's better for you in November do let me know what it's like xx
I'm ok now, I think he was tired and overwhelmed, I'm really glad he enjoyed his holiday with his Dad and when we got home he said he had a great time xx
I don't know how much you paid for this holiday but sometimes it's the same cost as going abroad. Anyway don't blame yourself. It's hard to hear that he had more fun in Spain however another day he may say the opposite. Enjoy your time together as that's the most important ❤
I completely agree, we are on a cruise next year so this holiday was on a budget. Last year he said he had more fun with me it goes I'm roundabouts sometimes xx
Oh Rachel i know exactly how you feel my 3 teenage girls are with me 100 percent of the time however there dad is on the farm only half a mile away from me and the girls help him on the farm he is financially very generous towards them which i couldnt ever keep up with . Last christmas they each got a chanel handbag yes the real thing he seen it as a investment for them and their birthdays were celebrated with a meal out and a tiffany necklace and yes again the real thing . I save up to give each of them the best i can with what i have but it always looks like nothing compared to daddys . I just accept that i have been there doing the little things to care for them and although their words can stab you in the heart they really dont mean it px
I understand how you feel, my ex is financially stable, he doesn't overly spoil our son like your daughters Dad does that must be really hard for you. I still feel lots of Mum guilt that I can't give my Don the life I dreamed of giving him like he can. I sometimes need to remember it's the little things that matter most. That when he is all grown up he will appreciate but mainly it's not about materialistic things it's about the love and care we give them and I'm sure your daughters appreciate you more for what you do as their mum sending love xx
