@@2ndshiftracing gee and why would that be ?(having an argument with my foolish SRA buddy saying drag radials are fine on an IRS car)
Couple reasons…IRS has a lot of linkage that moves and a radial is stiffer transferring more shock load on said components. So it’s wiser to run a bias ply due to its soft structure…it absorbs more shock load on the hit and saves drivetrain components. That’s why we urge cobra guys to run a 28” slick on IRS…more sidewall, and more consistent. Also a radial works best with antisquat geometry, being that an IRS squats it wouldn’t work as well or be consistent. You would need to slip the clutch quite a bit.

Valvetrain shouldn't move. Do regular checks to see if it does change. That just means something is wearing.
All parts wear, some more than others. A solid roller cam is so aggressive on parts because everything is rigid and trying to make big leaps of movement at high RPM. Unfortunately you can’t prevent all the movement from vibration and stress. You can help it with girdles, but you still have to do your due diligence and check hardware and tolerances.
Nut and bolt check are essential !
