2020-2023 Honda Odyssey 3.5 V6 How to Replace Timing Belt
Simple repair as long as you mark and set it in time before taking belt off. Tools needed will be 10mm socket and wrench, extensions, ratchet 3/8 or 1/4, 14 mm socket and 17 mm. I recommend using a weighted 19 mm socket for crank bolt. 22mm for lug nuts, jack and jack stands. ALWAYS SUPPORT THE VEHICLE WITH A JACK STAND!!!

2013 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Radiator Removal
Is that a " big block " motor? ( or should i call it an engine)😂
I’m on the same boat. I bought one for 800. Both heads were bad. I got one but still need to find a driver side one.
Mine is fixed and sold now. I redone the timing, all new gaskets and had 5/6 wires swapped on the coil. 🤣 Try a pull a part
**Just a rather important note!** In the future, Folks, I would double check the condition of the inner-most carrier seal, or "oil seal", or "differential oil seal", or whatever your parts counter, or dealer parts person happens to call it. It's the one between the carrier bearing, and the transmission, and would also check the output shaft seal, on the outer face of the transfer case cover. That's where the t-cases on most Muranos will often fail after a passenger side CV swap, because nobody either knows about, or cares to check that specific inner seal, before they slap the new one back in. These seals can get ripped easily, especially on the older models, by the splines on the end of the mid-shaft, when it's passing through them on the way out, and the passenger CVs having the mid-shaft too, makes them a bit of a b*tch to get out without ripping something up 😒 Dealt with this on my 2014, and it took completely dropping the subframe on the backside, and loose dropping on the front, taking the case off the diff/trans, and opening it up to replace the seals. This trans only has like a 1/4 quart of fluid in it, so even a small leak can end up very quickly and severely screwing up teeth in those diff gears. Take a bright light and shine it all the way down the pipe, and check all the edges of your seals in there for any rips or flapping, that would let the tensions springs come loose. I went to a Nissan tech at the dealership and asked him about this particular repair, and he said it's roughly marked as a 10+ hour rebuild, because they do a full rework on it. Once I figured out which damn seal it actually was from the diagrams, I was able to pick up the right one, and the o-ring for the case cover, for just under $60 CAD, and while the time to do it sucked, it only took me about 8 hours. That's with lots of breaks in between, cause I'm no tech, and my middle-aged ass hurt after laying on concrete all day 🤘😂
I'll pay for the AC, the rest can wait.
$20k vehicle in todays market
that’s really cool
You have other video when you fix
I do not. It's a simple and easy repair.
Sir, the left coil on my 92 zx7 won’t fire. The coil works. Any ideas? Please
Their is a wiring issue then. Check wires for any that could be broken going to that coil
@@repair_tech_brian5388 I've tried yo locate any issue. It's got to be the ignitor?
@@Mr.EeToMyself to only effect one coil and one cylinder, very unlikely. Check for power in that harness. And a ground pulse
@repair_tech_brian5388 well, one coil, both of them on it.
@repair_tech_brian5388 I don't believe it getting the pulse. How so I check that?
I got a question so my O2 sensor is not bad, but the wiring got melted on the car side by chance how do we go about looking that up and how to rewire it with the new female and can you give me some answers? Maybe you help me out here please I don’t even know how many wires is on it. I don’t know how many you know. I just know that I have a female in and it has a bunch of wires to it and it goes to the car.
Most O2 sensors are 4 wire and color coded
@@repair_tech_brian5388 thank you very much. I just wanted to make sure they cut color coated because I can’t see any wire on that. It’s so melted. It’s like melted to nothing pretty much it just like a piece of wire. I’m surprised the car is even running. Just put it that way because of that melted wire.
they make the brakes nice and easy on volkswagens then just to be that guy they throw one bolt that’s a triple square in there. i have never seen or heard of these things the time i did brakes, and i went to like 4 different stores trying to find the sockets. when they handed me the pack, they were in the back and had dust all over them. they were like $40 lmao
Charge them extra for leaving it lose 😅
🤣
Opps
Thank god we have mechanics that charge $100+ an hour to replace starter motors.
With book time calling at least 2.8 he even though it will take 30 minutes.
He needed to buy the 'wiggle-proof' model of starter !
That and the self tightening nuts
You can buy parts but not common sense 😂🤣😂
Phenomenal 😂
🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Porsche CV's too
Great video, thanks
It's a multi splines socket .....head screws...
Thanks, I could find the right name of those sockets. "Triple square"
Amazon has great prices on those as well.
Sometimes they are called XZN
This is a very different Honda
😂❤🎉
It's so stuck I broke the punch. I tried bigger punchers but it's still stuck. Now what?
Sledge hammer
@@repair_tech_brian5388 I found a video of someone using a deep hub puller. Worked like a charm. Was $32,- at AutoZone. Took me 2 minutes in total to put it on and push the axle out
E-Torx?
Those aswell
Its called "Vielzahn"...like many tooth's
No way I like Volkswagens😅
Spline sockets!
Multispline
yeah for the older gen not as much but for the higher generation above mk4 deffo get a set
It makes all the difference
@@repair_tech_brian5388 I think the only thing that's triple square in my MK4 is the door hinges and that's it lol
@@DesolationTech which engine are you running? I have a friend who's mk4 GTI 1.8t takes the triple square on the engine mount.
@@repair_tech_brian5388 yeah ours is a normal bolt..I'm running the AUM block k03s
Rotary hammer works best. Around $60 at HF
Absolutely tru
About as petty as these gender clowns
I have an 05 and was driving and the trunk just died. I have a crank no start. Scan said fuel rail pressure switch. Changed still same issue. Swapped the relay in top corner still no go. No fuel pressure on rail when prime pump. Do you think it could be starter or the row of fuses in the box? Thank you in advance.💪🔥🔥🔥💯
If it has zero fuel pressure, it's either a fuel pump, power to the fuel pump fuse/ relay. These are built in relays
Rivot gun too large for tight or small spaces. The handles really extend way out
They are a decent size for sure
Don't replace it,by that time the damage is done, call a tech😮
Its a cabin air filter, besides restricting air flow it should not cause any other damage.
Always a money making truck 😂 especially out here on the dirt roads
Definitely a service truck.
I pulled the old green seal out can I squeeze the white replacement one from autozone in there?? I tried once and mangled the new one 🤦🏻♂️😂 what’s the trick??
I replaced the whole cable. Those little universal fittings can be a pain, and some times not work
Put the new seal in a warm bowl of water let it get soft then try it
I squeezed mines with pliers then maneuvered it in
How is your A/C like a woman? Over time she stops blowing as much 😮😂
🤣
I have used a 2 pound brass hammer with a mini sledge, place the brass hammer on the end of the cv shaft then pop it with the mini sledge and out it comes easy peesy. I have been removing cv shafts since they first came out and have done this all these years to easily remove them.
Every one has their preferred method. One way that works best for them.
Intake hose
Lifter
Timing belt tensioner
WTF.. I paid $6,250 for 07 convertible V8 with tons of issues and 140k miles, 40k on new transmission. I'm already over 13k into it. $1,400 sounds ridiculously cheap...
is that literal shit
Pretty close to it.
Ecoturd also know as money maker
Definitely a money maker when work is approved
Learned the hard way once and used driveshaft spline grease on pins and my rubber sleeves swelled and locked the pin in.
I don't think I've ever seen that before. Hopefully all was well and you was able to repair it.
@@repair_tech_brian5388 It was tough but yeah right type of grease matters😂
That’s just an old resurfacing technique
Love this.
pull the trans or pull the motor either one has to come out to access rear timing chain cassette and jackshaft bolt and camshaft bolt. which both are reverse threads.
I actually replaced all the chains and guides. Ended up with a multiple cylinder misfire. Come to find out I had 2 wires swapped on the coil
The transmission does not have to come all the way out you just have to drop it down 4 inches
Yea. Thats on you bro
For sure. I definitely didn't pay attention
Well that visually noticeable. Sometimes you can't see it
Sometimes, but the noise is usually their.
Subaru.
This is a gt mustang
The one wearn out pad is because the calliper is not working correctly... EG braking on 1 side... The calliper needs cleaning or replacing
Under certain conditions, I would agree. This was due to someone not replacing that brake pad, or rotors.
