Finally, someone that actually uses their tools and doesn't have spotless tools which any mechanic knows that's impossible to have if you really use your tools.

So true. You can clean them and 30 minutes later be just as dirty. My Matco guy told me to use wd40 or PB blaster when cleaning my screw drivers and it works amazing. Again short lived cleaning.

Yes finally. The one and only person in all of UA-cam that uses their tools. Even though he did not turn 1 bolt in video.

It’s easy to just clean them once at lunch and once at the end of the day and keep your tools relatively clean, I know if mine get dirty to the point I can feel the grime on em during the day I’ll stop and at least wipe them down if not put some brake clean on a rag and wipe em down. Not hard to have respect for your tools

@@nam3tag11q7 I try to keep mine clean. Not all days will be days I'll want to fool with cleaning them. They usually get a quick wipe down and back in the box. I don't use break clean on mine had a bad experience on my Cornwell ratchet handle once.

@@boostlee5236 I wish I was the only one 🤣 I'd be the Mr beast of the repair side. But all jokes aside I do use them on a daily.

Very much so, especially if you lose on your not going to stop everything to spend an hour or so trying to find it

I love long handle flex head ratchets but that icon one is overpriced. You're better off with the Pittsburgh pro one It's almost as good and it's about half the price of the icon

I got one when the first came out a few years ago. Lasted a few months then the head broke off at the flex point. Got it exchanged and had the other about a week before it done the same. The upgraded me to the 1/2 version. I have not tried them since. Probably need to pick one up to see how they hold up now

There's some guy who did a tear down of both of them on UA-cam. I'm not sure if they're flex heads or not. If I remember right the icon was a little better inside It had one big batwing-shaped pawl and the Pittsburgh I believe was Dual Pawl. The Pittsburgh 72 teeth in the icon is 90 tooth so it's about the only differences

@@darrenporsch the Pittsburgh has a bit less backdrag, but almost twice the swing arc because of the pawl design. Also, the pawls in the Pittsburgh are significantly weaker. I don’t use either brand at work, but I’ve broken multiple Pitt ratchets at home, but haven’t managed to destroy the Icon yet.
