Wrong time if year to be buying a place in Alaska, isn't it?

The kitchen has great height and a beautiful ceiling, but it's obscured by how low those two light fixtures are that hang from the ceiling. It looks like they could be raised. I think that would draw the eye up really show the height. I love the counter. It reads like textured concrete. Great update and execution!

I have been trying to go off grid I am almost 70 but if I heard about this place first I would of jumped on it. I have some nephews that live in Alaska And a brother went back but he is a fisherman he got a boat again and off fishing. He would go crazy if he heard about this place.

Surprised you want to plant the raspberries with other plants. Like blackberries, they choke out every plant nearby and take over. Please choose a more isolated area from your roses to keep all those plants thriving. ❤

Awesome ! Not only does it hide the imperfections that are already on the countertop that it will hide all the crumbs and things while you're cooking in your kitchen awesome it looks so pretty I haven't dropped olive green floor that's very neutral that's about 50 years old that is linoleum squares and I absolutely love it you don't know how dirty that floor is until you take them up to it and then it's like oh my it's always covered up for the dogs and the kid.❤

Love the countertop. ❤You did a great job.👏🏻 Before you put on the wood for the backsplash, think about caulking the area where the top doesn't meet the wall. It'll help keep the bugs, cold, dampness out of the kitchen.

Love the channel and look forward to each new release. In watching a bunch of the tv shows based in Alaska you see homes with the Tyvek up but very rarely see the Tyvek covered with anything. I always wondered why they left the houses unfinished and now I'm left with questions about if it is unfinished or is there a reason people don't cover the tyvek like they do in the lower 48?

Man I love them 70s Ford trucks there was like four of them on that property🎉🎉 anyway my question is what they don't have junk yards and scrap yards anywhere in Alaska? Last year when I jumped in F-150 I got 700 bucks cuz scrap was up at the time so if you got a trailer and scrapped like two of them a week you guys could have been made some damn good money even if you had the high or somebody to do it just split it with them 50/50...

Gotta hook one truck to the front of the other truck that's connected to the trailer to pull up out of the wet area. Tow companies do that all the time in sand rescues where traction is limited. Also you can use a front winch connected to something in a dry area.

Bleach (chlorine) in the well will participate the iron. So I think the process would be (1) ~25 ppm of chlorine in the well and then flush the water to the outside upsteam (or downstream) of the filter. (2) repeat (3) change the filter.

Shalom Aleichem. Didcha ever find out who & why they abandoned that place? Also didcha ever find out who was living there before you guys entered it for the 1st time? Not all "expired" food is bad! Watch out for tomato saucers or bulging cans or torn bags. I have canned food that are 5-10 years old and still good. I'm curious what they were asking and what you actually paid for it. Much success with your new home. Ratson haba b'shem YaHuah
