What I like best about this card is that for those who don't travel a lot, it's just easy to use and benefit from. I travel maybe 5 times a year. I'm on year 2 of my Venture X as well. It more than paid for itself in year 1. I took one first class trip across country on United Airlines with it for free, so there's that, plus rented with Hertz President's status twice, plus got my discount at a Priority Pass restaurant once (before they nerfed that benefit), as well as visited a Priority Pass lounge, got my TSAPrecheck paid for, and got my 10K mile boost on my anniversary. Year 2, I've already used my $300 travel credit, used my Hertz Presidents Club to rent a car, and I'm just four months into the year. I definitely see this as a keeper card.
Yes! It really does make a lot of sense as a keeper card. So easy to get a lot of value from it and I like that capital one seems to be committed to building out lounges and other perks for the card. There have been some nerfs, but so far the value has stayed strong.
@@Sirlance87 On the Capital One Travel site, you can pick your fare class. I prefer to fly business/first for long flights so that is the fare class I selected.
Glad to hear it was helpful. It’s a great card! If you use the travel credit, anniversary miles, lounge access and hertz status then I’d say you’re making good use of it!
Jake I think you’re just projecting your own awesomeness outwards. Thanks for always being great man! Got some interesting news for ya! I applied for the Wyndham Earner Business card and I’m in review!
Being based in Denver, where we have a Capital One lounge, has got me more interested in this card. So YES, make a video about the redemption sweet spots you have found
True they do. There’s a few downsides and they’re not going to price match to every price you can find, just the ones they can find. But it is probably one of the better travel portals for that reason.
Worst credit card service. I got your card recently and as I was traveling today from Denver I thought to visit the lounge. I was denied entry. The door man said the lounge is at capacity. ???? I told him let me enter the grab and go. Do I at least have a bottle of water. He said no. I was treated like a POS customer. I ended going to the centurion lounge. This really opened my eyes and made me realize what a POS company you are.

How were you able to use it to fly first class?

Thank you Ethan! This video was fantastic. I just received this card and wanted to know how I could make the most of it.

You remain as the best of the best. Great video Ethan

Sounds great and thanks for the input Chris!
I believe they also price match other sites too.

Is it just me, or is the the sound mixing off? Your voice is very soft, and he sound effects are very loud.
I see what you’re saying. Seemed a little quiet to me but not too bad. Could be my speakers. Thanks for that feedback!
Agreed
Card has price match for portal
Great point!

That does happen with airport lounges! Even centurion lounges. Sorry to hear they were rude to you.
