      I think it's a great idea for kitchen employees. They could have neck wraps filled up and ready to go in the freezer so that when it gets busy and hot they won't need to take the time to fill them with ice.

    That was really entertaining AND a really good idea. Our bath Tub drain is constaintly clogging and I am constaintly having to clear it with expensive drain cleaner. Even though those hair clogs are nasty, the shop vac is a really good idea to clear it. I even thought it might be a good idea to reverse the shop vac so you are actually PUSHING the clog through the pipe rather than sucking it up. Either way, the shop vac RULES! Great JOB 🙂

    • @maryellenslifehacks3042
      @maryellenslifehacks3042 10 місяців тому

      If you clean it annually it should not make such a mess. If you have a patio slider, perhaps you could slide it to the open door so the dust goes outside. Also a wet towel placed opposite catches the bulk of dust.

  • @docjody8624
    @docjody8624 10 місяців тому

    Brilliant! Also, folks, you can just use the blower feature on your Shop Vac (instead of hooking up the vacuum feature)-- to blow dust out of there, off the coils! Cheaper in long run than buying cans of Compressed Air. If you don't own a leaf blower.

      @@maryellenslifehacks3042 Great suggestion. I'm taping a cheap furnace filter onto the rear of a 20 inch box fan and placing it in front of the refrigerator to catch the dust. Now I recall using a short Toro leaf blower once before, it worked fantastic. Thank you! ;)

    Using the leaf blower is genius. It does a way better job than an air compressor, because volume is what you really need. The only thing I might suggest would be to put a pair of appliance rollers under the refrigerator and roll it over to a door to the outside, if one is reasonably close. Then you could blow the dust out the door.

      @@maryellenslifehacks3042: Haha, you must have some pretty slow squirrels in your neighborhood. Most squirrels would unhook that picture hanger in less than a minute. I’ve watched squirrels open the latches on ‘squirrel proof’ galvanized garbage cans, unhook bungee cords, tear any plastic parts on feeders to shreds, eat through plastic garbage cans, cut nylon and rope hanging cords, knock feeders to the ground to break them, you name it. I’ve even watched them tear away aluminum soffit and 1/4” steel flat bar to get into an attic space. They’re probably the cleverest and most resourceful animal I’ve ever had the pleasure to observe…but they do cost me a lot of money in birdseed, lol.
