excellent - its my first time here... (and first time as a senior, too)
She's very articulate on explaining exercises and what you should feel
Thank you for sharing your tips🙏
Thanks for these! Not a senior but will try these out.
I teach TJQMBB - I’m not sure where you were trained but your forms don’t resemble anything that Dr Li teaches -
great video.Thank you❤❤👏👏🙏
My first time, good
I have found sit ups to be a big help. I’ve had sciatica since 1991. I bought an attachment that clamps on to the bottom of a door to help me. You place your feet under it to aid in pulling yourself up. I do 100 sit-ups every morning. No more soft work outs like they run you through in physical therapy. This really works for me.
Hello, do you offer a full exercise program for seniors? Thx
@@ryarya3291 hi! I don’t have that yet but one day would love to, that’s a great idea!

I benefit from this
Wonderful! So glad to hear!
This was recommended to me by my spine and pain doctor. I'm hoping it will improve my functionality.
I’m so glad to hear your doctor recommended it and I hope it helps!
Thank you for your video. Some Dr say NO stretching especially no crossing legs. Why is there such a big difference of opinion? Also, is it bad to lift objects.
Yeah so there’s different practitioners which have different expertise which can lead to different opinions. Also, crossing the legs to stretch or find space is different than crossing the legs while sitting which can lead to increased tightness/pain. Ultimately, if a movement is causing you pain (no matter who recommends it) you should ditch that exercise/movement. I would say it’s just important to lift with good form whether someone has bursitis or not- so making sure bending ones legs, not rounding in the back, and breathing while lifting- hope that helps! And as always, check in with your provider before doing any activity 😊
Terrific❤
Can some of these be good for babies?
This is a great question! And while I can’t say for sure because I’m not an expert in this area, I think there mats that people make/use for babies to help with development
Actually, these exercises DO help! Much better than my current therapist. Thanks for this!
I’m so glad they’re helpful! Thank you for your feedback!
Necesitaba esto tanto Dios bendiga su vida y su existencia y gracias por subir esto tsn bello ,para nuestra sanacion, emocional, ,😊😊😊❤❤❤

Love your videos because this is very important stuff. I found your channel looking for how to relieve knee pain, and then I had to peruse all your vids. Hope you continue to provide this valuable information to us seniors. I love your dog's reactions!
I’m so glad you found our site! And thank you so much for your kind feedback! It really helps me to know that what I do is important!
Recently completed the training and am teaching. I agree completely- such a wonderful program
My doctor said fluid around the bursa is the reason for hip bursitis and there is no way to get rid of the fluid. Why don't all these exercise instructors mention that. I have done every exercise in the book and NOTHING helps.
I agree My doctor prescribed PT; it made me WORSE.
I agree My doctor prescribed PT; it made me WORSE.
From what I understand the bursa is inflamed because the other muscles around it have decided to not work like they should. Therefore the tendon that floats over the bursa causes inflammation of the bursa. The exercises are to wake up the muscles that are not doing their job which will allow the bursa to heal. It took awhile to get here and it will take awhile to recover. If you completely stop then it will get worse. Good luck in your pursuit of health ♥️
Thank you!
I was watching this ny mom hasn't listened to my text
we all needing to be relaxing this time in our to must stresse live 😢
Excellent exercises. Thank you.🍁 .
Happy to find you, very helpful
Thanks for showing muscles diagram which I was looking for long time.
Thank you!
Random side note putting rubber bands in the freezer actually helps them retain their stretchyness and gives them more longevity it does not make them snap!
Great stretches though my back feels way better :)
Thanks for that information! The idea behind the metaphor is that a cold muscle will not move as well in terms of gaining flexibility so I’ll have to work on the specifics of the analogy!♥️
Thanks!
Great ! Nice to do do it with you at the same time!
Please no muscle abbreviations. We need to learn the names.
My neck pulls from pillows that don't feel comfortable. Do you have a recommendation for a good pillow? And are foam pillows good for the neck?
Pillows are one of those things that are very subjective. I personally like a softer pillow that isn’t memory foam, but I know people who swear by their memory foam. I’m sorry that’s not very helpful but I do like the sleep number classic true temp
Is there any guarantee that the foot will go straight again after doing those exercises?
Unfortunately no there’s no guarantees but hopefully it will help correct the position of the bones in the foot
Hi Dr. Katie I hope you are well! Do you have sitting or floor exercises? I still have a torn tendon and need to give it some rest but trying to keep fit. Thank you for all that you do!
Oh no! I hope you feel better and heal soon! Here’s the video I have for chair exercises ua-cam.com/video/_F5kIqeY8ZA/v-deo.htmlsi=U4IONHW9fwCmgZ57
I'm not a senior but I was just diagnosed with a partial rotator cuff tear. This video helps me understand some beginning exercises a therapist suggested to me. You explained it so well. What I liked most is that you mentioned its ok not to have full range right away because yes, it can be frustrating. That strap with the loop, is it stretchy like a theraband? Theraband straps break over time.
I’m so sorry to hear about your cuff tear and I’m glad this video is helpful. The blue strap is not stretchy, it’s like a yoga strap or you can get a stretch strap that is typically green. If you’d prefer not to buy anything you can use a long belt or dog leash. The red strap is stretchy, but my new favorite bands are called Flex Kords- they have the loop attached and don’t break (full disclosure I am an affiliate of Flex Kords, but I have always been a fan of their product)
I haven't watched your video before😮
Thank you so much. Love this
thank you
