The problem with wallriding at Martinsville is that it may work once or twice, but at some point, drivers would do it on the last lap in defense rather than offense, because they know the guy behind them could do it to pass them, so they'd do it themselves to stay ahead of that guy. And so on, and so on. Eventually you'd end up with 10 cars full throttle pulling tens of thousands of pounds against the wall all at once, and I wouldn't want to be on the other side of it if it buckled, or if the crossover gate (which is literally a gate within the wall at the exit of turn 4) can't hold the weight and breaks open and a dozen cars crash end to end at 130 to a dead stop, or worse, climb over each other and into the fence or through it into the crowd. The instant Ross Chastain proved it could work, they had to realize the logical extreme wasn't actually that unrealistic, and could be instantly catastrophic

Stanley Smith's skull fracture was actually a _basilar_ skull fracture, the exact same injury that killed Dale Earnhardt. A basilar skull fracture is almost a guaranteed death, so it's even more remarkable than you'd think for him to survive. Very very few people manage to live through that

Thanks for the Prince reactions 💜 my favourite artist of all time! I have all his albums, yes ALL of them from 1978 to 2016 and the posthumous ones. And tonnes of DVD’s and Blurays of live stuff. You should be ok reacting to live stuff, UA-cam is brutal with music videos! But his live stuff is even better than the recorded tracks anyway. More Prince please 💜

I think my favorite version of this is from The Undertaker short film. It was basically a home video that Prince wanted to release as a cover mount for Guitar World, but his record company found out about it and stopped the release at the last minute. But all of the songs in there are freaking phenomenal and super rock heavy. And really stripped back - just a trio with P on guitar, Sonny T on bass, and Michael Bland on drums. I highly recommend checking that out. 💜

NASCAR HAS had a father/son racing against each other, actually there have been a few, the most famous is Dale Earnhart and Dale Earnhart Jr. raced against each other for several years before Dale Earnhart lost his life on the last lap of the Daytona 500, but I am a HUGE fan of NHRA, for a few reasons, but mostly for the EQUALITY, in the NHRA they do not care what your gender is, your religion, age, race, skin color, financial status, or anything else, in the NHRA there is a Billionaire WOMAN who races in Funny Car, Alexis DeJoria, they also have hired drivers who do it for a paycheck, if you can handle the car, and get your NHRA license for the class, they will let you race, now granted getting am NHRA license for Top Fuel and Funny Car is very hard, Indy car and NASCAR braggs that they have female drivers that compete, I think NASCAR has had 3 over the years, and Indycar has had 3 over the years, I do not think that any of them has ever WON a single race, I know Danica Patrick came very close once when she was racing Indy car before she jumped over to NASCAR, but NHRA can say that they have crowned female world champions, in 2017 Brittney Force won Top Fuel and Erica Enders won Pro Stock, TODAY Erica Enders is the winningest female driver in the NHRA, and has won the world championship in the class 5 times so far, we are probably 2 weeks away from her winning her 6th. now the NHRA takes the safety of all their drivers very seriously, after all this is a sport where people have been and unfortunately still do get killed, but they take extra precautions with the female drivers, they are absolutely forbidden to race if they become pregnant, that is not so much to protect the driver, but to protect the baby, I hope Ashley Force and Courtney Force return to the track soon, they have taken time off from drag racing to have babies, but I would love to see all 3 of the Force sisters racing at the same time, we have not seen that yet.

Im an OTR trucker and used to run into John Force back in the 90's but never bothered. Just because someones a celebrity doesnt mean they wanna be bugged while cleaning their rv's windshield. But i spent a fair bit of time in the 80's watching him race on TV and always loved the mans energy.

Hello! You have to realize what kind of situation Finland had with soviets. We were outnumbered both calculating ways, soldiers and ammunitions. So every bullet had to find the right target and even better if that same bullet found 2 targets at the same time. Otherwise we would have lost winterwar and I would be speaking russia now. So huge thanks to Simo and all the others who practised hard to keep the enemy away from our doorsteps. They truly deserve all our respect now and forever....sincerely Kaisa from Finland

I was at Seattle Int'l Raceway for the Summer championships in Kent, Washington in about 1978. As it got closer to the final race of the night, the security got less and less and we worked our way down to the starting line for the final championship race. We were standing about 20 feet to the side of the left-lane car as it idled at the start line. I was trying to be tough by not covering my ears with my hands. When the driver did his burn-out (to heat up the tires) the noise was so intense that I spun around to face backwards as my hands came up to cover my ears. By the time I had covered my ears, the noise had caused my muscles to collapse and I found myself sitting on the ground, where I happily remained with my ears covered until they rolled the car back to the starting line for the actual race. After the Final, things immediately shut down, like flipping a light switch. Our car was parked in a lot on the opposite side of the track from where we were. We went to walk across the starting lines of the track, and after 2 steps, I looked back at my 2 shoes stuck to the ground in the traction compound they treat the track with to get a faster launch. A very memorable evening!
