And yes Leigh Diffey has signed a long term contract with NASCAR as a commentator for the 2nd half of the season. He has really added to the races and this was only his 2nd NASCAR race announcing. Glad to have him on board.
Likely the final with for Stewart Haas Racing, also the first time since 2005 that Kyle Busch missed the Playoffs. I want either the 2011-2013 Chase format or the good old Winston Cup Format back frankly. Tho I like todays points structure
@@ExploringTheSmoke If Richard Childress, Kyle Busch's Boss, had made his car go fast from the start of this year instead of speaking at Trump Rallys, they might've won once or twice already. But judging from recent races they should be good for next year. Even Richard Petty or Dale Earnhardt had winless years and bounced back, so there is hope
@@Corvin152 that's the beauty of this sport you can go from zero to hero in one season, he's a good enough driver to pull it back, so hopefully next season fairs better for him 💪🏻
Hey, You didn't get cancelled. Nice to see this continuing. Leigh Diffie has broadcast Indycar, Formula 1 and IMSA racing, mainly with NBC. He also infamously called the Olympic 100m final last month. He called Jamaica's Kishane Thompson as the winner when USA's Noah Lyles crossed the line first. Everyone occasionally makes mistakes.
This may very well be the final victory for Stewart-Haas Racing. At the very least, with Chase Briscoe, they can go out on a high note after the championship race. Edit: Love the Darrell Waltrip sound clip on the board you used. When he was in the Fox booth from 2001 to 2019, he always brought a great amount of enthusiasm to the sport as a commentator. Great addition!
It's bittersweet but beautiful in a way, I hope something can be done about ALL the team that are losing their home with Stewart-Haas, hopefully they'll all be picked up by other teams
@@ExploringTheSmokeWell, so far we know that Briscoe will take Truex's seat next year, Josh Berry is going to the 21, and Noah Gragson will be with Front Row (not sure what their numbers will be yet). As for Preece, we shall see if he drops down to Xfinity or Trucks, or perhaps has another shot in a cup ride with a third RFK team (if there is one) All we know about that team is that the number 41 will be used for Cole Custer for the new Haas Factory Team as its only entry.
Good morning bubba. I hope you're well! Darlington is one of the classic NASCAR tracks. I love Darlington. Correct this weekend was the last chance to get in the playoffs. They will be eliminating drivers from this point going forward. In reference to your comment about why would Denny Hamlin hit somebody that was already up against the wall I'm sure he would tell you that eight tires get better traction than four. 😁
Happy for Briscoe to be able to bring perhaps the last win for the Stewart Haas Racing team before their closure at the end of the season, WINNING his way into the playoffs, but also sucks to be a Kyle Busch fan because I am pretty sure this is the first time he did not make the playoffs in probably a decade or so, still hoping he can get a win before the season end and hopefully come out with a stronger run in 2025.
Just incase you haven't heard nascar released there 2025 schedule. The xfinity series finally goes back to rockingham in north carolina. I wish it was rockingham oval in the U.K. the last xfinty race at rockingham was 2004. The truck series is going to race there again also. Last race for the trucks at rockingham was in 2013. They were trying to revive the track back then. Trucks race at Charlotte's roval in 2025. 1st time doing that for trucks. Cup series races on Mexico's f1/ indycar roadcourse in 2025. I applaud nascar for trying new racing venues over the last 3-4 years to keep it new and interesting for us long time fans that have seen 100's of charlotte/ daytona/ bristol/martinsville etc. (The traditional nascar tracks.) The truck series also races at lime Rock Park road course in Connecticut ( new england state)
Favorite driver Kyle Larson most disliked Bubba Walace ... of the current drivers. If you go back years most disliked driver was Ricky Rudd. I had many favorites back when drivers like Rusty Wallace, Mark Martin, even Jeff Gordon. But my all time top of the list driver was Harry Gant. He had a most unusual driving style. Of course Petty, Waltrip ... and Earnhardt.
@@derekprzesmicki9578 Losing to Briscoe in my opinion is an easier pill to swallow. Briscoe had one of the best cars all night and the power his car had plus the clean air was no match for KFB on a couple lap newer tires in the brick that is the RCR car. Daytona, that was backbreaking. Should never have removed the top 30 rule.
I believe that NASCAR should require a minimum of 25th place in points for winning drivers to make the playoffs. This would have excluded 34th place Harrison Burton from the playoffs, and brought in Chris Buescher. Bubba still would have missed out. However, as they say; it is what it is (for now).
