      Mmmm nahh I love the contrast tbh the A board is not great either YES uts white but lacks anything aesthetically imo obviously. The best looking board is z790 maximus but that's intel obs so no good.

    I added similar setup to an NV5 case but with the new Titanium Ram and I would agree, this is expensive but having the pre-attached fans, simple cabling and easy setup are worth it. Also how much you can alter the lighting brings a very satisfying part to any new system build with cool custom lighting themes possible.

      n why you decided to go with the corsair fans when you have the phanteks nv7 case? the phanteks d30 fans sync with one another as well and can all work with the built in controller on the case...So my question for you is bro, what do those rgb controls do now on the NV7 case now that your using the corsair fans? do the buttons just do nothing now i assume?

    Hello,
    Thank you very much for the video.
    I want to upgrade my fans from LL120 to QX120. I want to buy 7 fans for my 5000T case. Two packages of three fans with a controller and one more fan in the regular package without the controller. To connect all the fans will I have to purchase the Corsair iCUE LINK Cable Kit? Or alternatively I can purchase one more cable of 100mm or 200mm/600, will that be enough?
    I would appreciate it if you could answer me before buying

    • @TechCheckUK
      @TechCheckUK  Місяць тому

      If you Buy 2 x 3 packs and a single fan you will get 2 x 135mm cables and 3 x 60mm cables and 2 x hubs - You need 1 fan connected to the other 3 via 60mm cable and then a 135mm cable to hub and then another 3 x fans and a 135mm cable to the other port on the hub so you don't need to purchase anything additional pal 😀 good luck there great and thanks 4 watching 👀 👍

    I know that these fans are really expensive, but they were worth every penny to me, the back of my case looked just like yours if not worse as i have 13 fans running in a 7000D case.
    1 thing i will say as i may have missed if it was said in the video, the HUB can support 14 devices, but it can only support 7 devices per port, i found this out as i tried running the 8 front/side intake fans on to 1 port, and i got a low power warning icue and 1 fan was not lit up. Once i re-routed the cables and played around with some cable management, everything was good.
    Awesome video!

The only thing I haven't quite worked out is where I can plug my RGB LED strips. I have 4 daisy chained around the edge of the glass panel on my Corsair 4000x case. It doesn't look like there is a connector for them on the new link system. Guess they will need to be connected direct to the MB. :)

    Purchased the iCue Link H150i LCD to replace an older H150i two weeks ago. I am using a Corsair Obsidian Series 500D RGB SE case that sits to the right of my desk approximately 3 feet away from me. The pump for the AIO at the quiet setting is loud and many others are reporting the same issue on the Corsair forum. Forget placing the AIO pump on balanced or extreme setting. The sound level increases and the sound pitch gets higher. Long time Corsair user. Using there RGB ram, AX1600i PSU, PC case (mentioned above), Keyboard (K100 RGB), and Virtuoso XT headset. The noise at the lowest setting (Quiet) is still irritating since it is quiet in my house. I am also using 3 QX 120 RGB fans. As we know Corsair products are not inexpensive. I know there is a work around by adjusting a file to lower the RPM of the AIO pump below 2000 RPM but I believe that should not be the answer. Thinking I may have received a defective product I purchased another H150i and the pump noise is the same. Currently I am using a custom setting in iCue and placed the fans at 50% speed and it masks the noise from the AIO pump but now I hear the fans. I prefer the tone / sound of the fans over the sound of the AIO pump. Hopefully this helps others.

    I do believe they have changed/ updated the cables included in the triple fan starter kit. A criticism from a few months ago was that the 600mm cable included was the straight edge plug end but now judging by your video they’ve swapped it to the 90 degree plug end. If this is so and not just random I would be very happy about this change as I literally have the triple fan starter kit in my bedroom as do I have the 360 rad AIO but I’m not opening it until Christmas next month 😂. I’m tempted to just buy 2 600mm right angle cables (one for AIO, one for fans) anyway and just return them if I don’t need them. With the new 6500D case, it is possible to install up to 13 fans. This will require two fan controllers, each of which will occupy one USB 2.0 port. In terms of fan configuration, a setup with nine intake fans and four exhaust fans is generally considered effective in maintaining adequate airflow within the case.

    • @TechCheckUK
      @TechCheckUK  4 місяці тому

      One controller will do 14 fans BUT if you have an AIO you only want the aio and 4 fans on one channel if not it will be under powered. 13 fans with 9 intake gives positive pressure so lots of fresh air coming into the case so as long as they have dust filters it'll be fine - may just need cleaning a little more 😉

      I know mate but that's a topic that's been drowned on YT - Really easy just download icue from corsair ans install and then activate all in settings and it's all based on murals now so just 1 click for RGB and to add gifs or custom logos etc just upload on lcd settings - you can also set custom fan curves etc in AIO settings. Honestly just search icue setup and you will get some detailed vids 👌 thanks 4 watching I appreciate it 🙏

      The single fans now come with the 60mm cables and the AIO already comes with 2 60mm and 1 150mm cable and then the triple pack comes with 1 x 60mm and a 150mm cable so you should be fine. It would be better to go with what you have and if you were short you can order that specific cable after. Regards

    Little misinformation on the fans by the way you cant do more than 7 fans per side of the hub the hub can handle a max of 14 and that is why there is two ports on the hub and if you see jayz2cents video on these fans you will literally run into fans not working and an error in icue stating there are too many fans connected to one port in the hub. And the AIO takes a total of 4 spots so you can do like a single rear fan connected to the aio thus taking 5 and connect it to one side of the hub than connect the remaining on the other side of the hub the 3 at the top and 3 at the bottom to the other side of the hub taking 11 of the 14 guaranteed on one hub. 7:03 in the video was where you stated that but other than that looks solid and definitely installed right and now if you run into a problem you have a spare hub to use if the other one goes bad.

    Returned this trash of aio system you can only have one fan per port to be able to use it lights and fans while gaming trying that link system only works at idle once you start gaming or put any load on the system the link system just shuts down and give that error saying not enough power for the fans only got 6fans on slot 1 and aio fans and aio on the slot 2

      Well you have set it up wrong then mate as I have 6 on one and aio and 1 fan the other side and no issues.

      @TechCheckUK how when a professional installed it for me I took it back to have it looked at when they told me it's a very known issue with the link system they don't like 1 hub they like 2 hubs 3 fans per slot. I was like what's the point I should have went With Leon Lee Aio and fans

    ugh now i have to replace my QL120s. After xmas... lol
    @techcheckUK have you used SignalRGB instead of ICue?

    • @TechCheckUK
      @TechCheckUK  7 місяців тому +1

      I use icue but signalrgb is great if u have a mix match of rgb components as u only need 1 instead of 3 it reduces system resources too 😉
