Homemade 4 Valve 7.2 Liter Engine Cylinder Head Update 1/27/2024
Where is the fuel filter
Buying a late model Corvette and ripping out the engine right after getting it, is some gangsta sh*t. Love it.
What a beautiful thing to see 👍🏽Great job Larry I’m very impressed by your dedication to the corvette 👌
Trying to find all the bolts haha what a hack.
Why lol
Excellent skills
Should have skipped the VVT. Problem solved.
How did you retro fit the mechanical fuel pump? Machine the block? I love the idea of a 8.1 di engine
More exhaust clerance because the valve is open as the piston moves towards tdc
Great videos Greg. Many thanks for all your efforts. Not to mention the genii behind the build itself.
@@garyoneill8868 thank you 🙏
Watching the right wheel wobble the whole time stressing.
Great stuff, thanks for sharing!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely love your videos. I wish I understood exactly what these MEN have accomplished, I get the basics of the four stroke, but this is absolutely mind blowing to figure out, build, tune AND race that. This has been an amazing opportunity to watch, thank you for the videos and most of all, thank you to these guys for letting us all watch with excellent documentation and explanation. Absolutely fascinating to watch, thank you again.
Thanks for the kind words. They are true craftsmen! Thank you Brian Schultz
This is my first time watching this. What engines did they use here?
They are homemade V12's - the bottom end is 100% custom the cylinder heads are cut up and rewelded together - they are Indy Aura heads from the early 2000's from AJ Foyt's Indy cars
Dude living dangerously touching that machine with gloves on.
Homemade, how did he forge the block, heads and crank?
They use aluminum plate and weld it together check out this video ua-cam.com/video/ME55YlmLGM0/v-deo.html
Warum ein deutscher Titel, und dann ein englisches Video?😫 Kann es leider nur Disliken:(
I'd love to hear it run
America baby! To hear this thing at full song gives me cold chills! Always cheering for them, true craftsman and legit hot rodders. Glad to see some of this documented in your videos, thanks!
We’re glad you like the videos - it’s a fun project! And probably the only modern V12 made in America
Brilliant Machinists, no substitute for this kind of experience, attention to detail and knowledge. 💪🏻🧐
What engine are the heads based off ? Thing engine is too cool
Thanks for documenting this and sharing it
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you Greg
You are very lucky to watch and lean from these two geniuses!! 👍
It’s fun! I get to wire up to new v12 to the HalTech R5 computer.
Those guys were in their 20s when they started the project. 🤣
Boys … build a v12 Hemi… Please…! Give it DOHCs too…That would be the Bomb…
All that stuff on the walls and benches says … We been here long time … We have done lots of stuff…! ❤
Fantastic! Love this video. Aaardema and Braun are geniuses. I love this.
Thank you for sharing! As usual Kevin doing amazing work, but talks about it like its just so simple... lol
Wait they are the guys that designed the cylinder head program for Raylar…?¿?
Genius, years and years of blood, sweat and tears in there, also heaps of information I sure hope gets passed on, this is wisdom
Thank you, Greg
Thanks for another great video
Tough to get high compression in a hemi head without valve shrouding issues.
a work of art
👍
Outstanding content, thanks for sharing!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for watching the channel - hopefully you'll enjoy the next video! Stay tuned
Amazing what 2 guys with some inexpensive equipment and used parts can do...build a V12 from scratch that sets land speed records.
Yes - it's amazing what can be done with some ingenuity and passion! Thanks Greg
Beautiful machine work. Thanks for documenting all this, Greg. I'm pretty sure there are many people (including me) that would never have known about these guys without your efforts.
I am glad that you appreciate the work of Aardema Braun, they are very talented engineers builders. Thanks for watching! Greg Q
I once knew a master machinist who was teaching me. These videos bring those memories to the fore. I will always own a car we made parts for together, For many reasons I am thankful you make these videos and share them with the world.
Rock on...! Thanks for sharing...! Keep up y'alls awesomeness...!!!
Thanks for the support! I really appreciate it!
Hoping the Fires didn’t Hit you Guys. I know Pete got hit once before. I See lots of NASCAR valves and engine parts are up for auction. Hendrick Racing. Can’t wait to when you do a Weekly Video?
Thanks for your concern, we are ok Pete and Kevin are still hard at work on this engine!
And some say engineering isn't 'art'...I mean, look at this!! It's just... Magnificent! 🗿🤌🏻 Thank you for filming these true artesans in their craft and for sharing with us! Greetings from yet another viewer from Brazil! 🇧🇷😁👍🏻
Thank you and thanks for watching from 🇧🇷 we weed more South America viewers so tell your friends! Greg
@GregQuirin Will certainly do!! 😎👍🏻
Kill the music.
I’m curious about what you would suggest I should do in place of having the music at the end? There is approximately a minute and a half of still photos with no audio. Seems to be a long period of time to have a slide show of photos without any sound. Suggestions appreciated, I’m a total amateur at video production and do my best to keep documenting this great stuff for the viewers.
@ talk about stuff that’s why I watch. If I wanted music I’d watch mtv.
Greg does a really good job of asking Kevin the right questions. Not that I'm going to be making my own pistons, but this stuff is fascinating.
It's a fun and interesting process to see these guys building engines from scratch! Thank you Greg
That thing was on song at 10000 rpm too bad it couldn't stay there for long, only a split second
Visiting these two gentlemen is always enriching and can show the joy of what a life of passion can bring. They do work of masters. Thanks Greg for taking us along. Cheers 👍💪✌
It's been a pleasure to document this project. Thank you Greg
👍😎👍
Thanks for documenting this, you guys are legends
You’re welcome
why did you use butterfly throttles?
Another good video - I like the mix of still and video images
Many thanks!
GREAT STUFF!!!!!!!
