@bobnewkirk7003 Yeah, he was shocked also, said nearly the same thing 😆 I think adding a water skill to my shroomer helped as I always try to add a skill that whatever my pal is weak to, is weak to. Like having a grass, who is weak to fire, fire is weak to water, so I add water. I was truly shocked to edit and see that we both pulled the manuals, and at the same time. It was really weird. The funnier part is that before he shuffled his manuals around, I would've called one too with the B4. (we pick our numbers and write them down before we start to make things easier) Editing me learns a lot about what happened during the game lmfao Hella lux is definitely the best new one. That's powering our oil base right now. Still looking for any ideas on future episodes if anyone has anything to suggest 😁

@@AzaleahGames you got the process ironed out pretty well. I think a couple passes with what you have already will sus out weak-points. Like I said the new mechanic had me worried, I went straight to a level 50 Lux pub stomping his batch of 3 25s, but it ended up being super benign; at least the way you played it. I'm interested to see either of you take a "lopsided" approach to exp and see if the level gap can make up the difference.

@bobnewkirk7003 I know he's discussed trying it, but I have no idea if he intends to. We don't discuss our future strategies with each other much. We're both fairly competitive and want the best chance to actually win 😆

I do too! I always enjoyed the building aspect of Ark and made some really impressive things on there too. There aren't really a lot of decorations though. Grounded also has a great system and a lot of decorative items. I have a large cliffside castle that I'll probably film a tour of and post one day. I'm recording the tour of the finished base on the mushroom Village today and will post it asap. I'm super excited to show it off! lol I'll also be posting the rest of the stream like this series with the decorating portion of the build for those who like watching that. ❤

@kimy770 My go-to for fighting pals (earlier game) would be musclehead, ferocious, stronghold strategist, and now serenity. If you can get it , use lucky over stronghold strategist or ferocious. If you can get a legend, use it over the other. Ideal would be legend, lucky, musclehead, and serenity. There may be better passives from the update that I haven't found yet, but that's what we're breeding for right now. Also, thank you so much for the compliment. You have no idea what it means to me. I'm thrilled that I could help.

@@AzaleahGames I got a fighting Verdash! She has mudclehead, ferocious serenety and lucky. And I got lucky to get her as an alpha too! I named her "Ace". Thank you again for all the tips!

@olithan2803 I have one. This was actually made just before the Sakurajima update, and before that specific feature was added. These breeding pairs all still work, though. I'm working on a new video explaining the monitoring stand with the new feature included. It makes it SO much easier for breeding.

It does occasionally, but I have a Series X, once I got that the crashes became minimal. I can do most dungeons now as well. It was definitely worth the upgrade. It's also hardlined to the internet so my connections are more stable. Before the upgrade I called it Crashworld

@bobnewkirk7003 Thank you! Yeah, I say that about the railings literally every time I build with benches. After the first 3 or 4 times, I started editing me saying that out 😂 I would also love more wall sizes and stuff. I'm hoping that's all coming down the line 🤞🏻 I've discovered that as I build that combining styles, it can often look great. ❤️

@kimy770 We're breeding enough to make 10 level 5 chikipis and 10 level 5 jetragons for future battles. We need 116 of each to just make one level 5, so it's literally thousands of eggs 😆 We start by breeding for passives and then just use extras to condense Sometimes, we get tired of hatching nonstop and just let them go for a while. 😳

@@bobnewkirk7003 the episode tomorrow shows me starting the decorative village on the mushrooms behind it. I absolutely love the way it's coming out

@@AzaleahGames I ended up putting my pal box a bit north of the oil well so I could catch the edge of the mushrooms. It made placing the farms a little more tricky, but let me wirelessly craft all the way up the wall. I've found that the breeding pens have a way larger footprint than they show so that's probably why the nubs weren't building that one. you may have to move it in a bit to not have breeding there be buggy as well. Serenity is probably the top DPS passive now. I'm working on Legend, Musclehead, Serenity and Impatient for any breedable fighters; the CDR is a big boost for the new skills as they are all long CT. for the self-breed pals (Bella and the space pals mostly) you can swap out Ferocious for Legend. Also if you haven't experimented with pillars yet they are amazing. they work like a foundation but can be built vertically, up and down, from any corner or anywhere on the ground. basically it allows a lot of old tricky overhangs to become proper decks as opposed to solid blocks. I've taken to building a "Landing Platform" out of glass about 10 pillars high so I can quickly get LOS of each of my bases while flying around the island.

@bobnewkirk7003 you'll love the one coming out tomorrow. I had my palbox back so that it wasn't in the mushrooms because I put an entire decorative village behind on the shrooms. And it is adorable. Tomorrow will be the start of that, still broken into pieces because it was a really long stream. As soon as I'm done decorating, I'll do a tour video. We're very excited by the new serenity passive, as we've been breeding and looking at the skills we realized how important that is. We've had no problem using the breeding pens where they are, thankfully.

@donniebirb I'm afraid if we did, then it would be over in a minute and not really a fight at all. Choosing the main pal matters because they match specifically against the other main pal. And any partner skills they have that don't require us to ride them is still active (as far as I know, I may do a couple battles to science it out) because not all pals need riding to use their skills. The pal arena works differently than any pvp I've played so I'll do a little more investigating to see what options we have. There will be different ways we choose to battle in upcoming episodes, so I'm happy to look at all ideas of ways to do different episodes.

@donniebirb After checking, we can't ride the pals or use them in the battle in any way. You can't interact to pick up pals, and there are no drops in the arena so those partner skills are useless as well. There is a possibility that partner skills that affect damage might work, but I'm unfortunately not the kind of person to try to math that out without getting a migraine 😆 All we are able to do if we battle is use our weapons.

@bobnewkirk7003 Yeah, I gave him hell over that when I edited it and saw 🤣 In the end, he lost, so it didn't matter. Ribbuny really surprised me. What a happy accident 🙃 We really enjoyed this episode, next Friday's is a really fun one. Filmed it yesterday. It's a Sakurajima episode where ALL the eggs were gathered on the new island. That didn't guarantee they'd be new pals, but it helped!

@@AzaleahGames I just checked the list for the Sakura eggs and its a pretty solid list. most of the old pals are in at 5% and the new pals are in at 1% overall, but there are enough new pals that it should be about a 20% chance to pull one. Each egg has about 3 options save a couple like water which is just the frog. outside of that the rest of the list is all stuff you find on the island (beakon, menasting, bushi, petalia, verdash etc). It looks like they built the list on the idea that people had already farmed the Volcano and the Ice mountain pre-patch so they don't have a ton of Fire or Ice; the new island doesn't even spawn frozen eggs. For this arena I think collecting eggs from all 3 will round out the list of possible pals and give a bit more variability.

@bobnewkirk7003 I still have over 200 eggs that have been gathered from everywhere on the map, that's what we usually use. For the sakurajima episode, I just gathered all new eggs for the challenge. We're trying to decide a way to make doing element specific episodes fun. Especially since we have so many fire and ice eggs.

@@AzaleahGames for sure, just figured I'd go through the list while I drank my coffee this morning and see what sort of stuff you could pull. I just discovered that the new island doesn't even spawn frozen eggs so I was thinking of a way to bring them back in, but if you have a backlog farming new Sakura eggs rounds out your list in a good way.

@scottyoung3176 I know! I absolutely LOVE having more bases. ❤️ I've already begin spreading my bases out. Half my mining base is moving north to the tip of the new island. It's still within render range 😆 A dedicated Bella base was the part I was most excited about with this update though lol

@@AzaleahGames also, un case you haven't already implemented it, but you can adjust the 'damage to structure multiplier' setting to reduce damage by half. I stayed using this because I have a bad habit of accidentally firing off an attack while flying when I'm trying to descend just a little bit.
