Es muy linda guitarra, la estuve viendo, yo tengo una Jackson king v js32, y he pensado en cambiarla por esta, por ahí ví que el cuerpo es mas pequeño que el de la Gibson explorer, sera mucho mas pequeño?, mas de tamaño tipo jackson Kelly??

I got mine for $600 and I feel it's worth at least twice that. Absolutely amazing fretwork on it and it plays and sounds so nice. Maybe I'll put different pickups in it eventually.

I've had both of these guitars - well, I 'have' the Viper and I sold the SG. The SG was great, a nice player and lots of tonal variety. But I found that it just felt slightly cheaper overall - and the neck dive was awful...truly awful. Overall the Viper is just a really solid feeling, and great sounding guitar. There is some neck dive, but I didn't find it to be as bad as the SG at all. If you know what a higher end Indo/Korean LTD feels like, then the Viper absolutely doesn't disappoint. In short, I wasn't inspired by the SG, but I can play the Viper for hours on end and not get bored!

I've had the Epiphone SG for a few days. Workmanship and sound are very good. A really nice guitar.

Though I own 3 US high end strats I already have two Player Plus stratocasters since they are just as good as their american counterparts. The noiseless pickups may not sound as good as the texas specials but the necks are godly and the overall feel is great.

Great, honest video. Locking tuners are not always the best choice. For one, they are often unnecessary, especially in a fixed bridge instrument. Yes, they can help you change strings faster. But unless you are a big performer with your own traveling guitar tech you don't need to worry about this, in which case your tech would just hand you another guitar to play between songs as he replaces the broken string, which really won't be broken in enough to play out the remainder of the gig as that new string keeps going out of tune as it settles. I stopped bothering with locking tuners a long time ago unless it's a guitar with a trem, which I rarely play anyway. This LTD Viper-256 will probably be my next gutiar. I've played them at shops and the stock pickups sound really good. But if I tired of them I already have a good collection of pickups, from Duncan, DiMarzio and EMG, although I'd probably put a Duncan set in like a Custom SH-5 and Jazz. But I'd give the stock pickups a chance as they already sound terrific and very well matched to the guitar. I consider the Viper line the best take on the SG ever produced. It solves the neck dive issue, has better craftsmanship, is more ergonomic with the placement of the tone control and volume, and they have better electronics. They also look damn cool with that offset thing going on.

I think the only thing that is missing for me that would make this the best guitar for under 900€ is a neck through/thru neck that goes through the guitar body instead of a bolted on neck. Ibanez has a model called RGRT421 that cost around 500-600€ that has a neck through but then it lacks the tremolo system and has Ibanez pickups instead of Dimarzio :( I wonder is Ibanez tremolo system comparable to a Floyd rose 1000/original or more of a cheaper Floyd Rose licensed tremolo ? Or do Ibanez have different kind of tremolo systems ? Most of Ibanez neck through guitars are very expensive, If I could find one below 1000€ with locking tremolo with cheaper Ibanez pickups I could switch out the pickups for Dimarzio Super Distortion for example, anyone have any suggestions ? I know Jackson has their X Series Soloist SLX DX for about 600-700€ with neckthrough, floyd rose and duncan disigned pickups that are amazing for the money but I like Ibanez necks better.

The Vipers start 200 dollars more than the Epiphone. And you just have so many more sound options with the actives on the Epiphone. To me, the Epiphone just has more options available to make it sound the way you want it to.

I think if Epiphone made the Prophecy Series with passive Seymour Duncan pickups it would have been much better. Active pickups get old really quick.
