Great hacks. We had delicious crab soup with Maryland backfin crab meat. A little pricey but easy to make and delicious! My secrets is to add 1 cup of Spicey V8 juice.

Love your videos. Two questions. As a new RV-er. I was surprised how loud the water pump is. Do you find that it is normal ti hear the pump. Secondly the mattress is terrible. Our pop-up mattress was far superior to the one in the RV. Did you replace yours and if so with what. TIA

Thanks for the tips! I fill a spray bottle with water and add 1 tsp of Dawn dish soap for an all purpose cleaner. It I have something that requires scrubbing I make a paste with dish soap and baking soda To clean in a coffee stained thermos I put a dishwasher tab in and fill with hot water I am not sure how long for sure cause I leave it overnight lol then just dump it out and rinse the thermos really well

Thank you!!! I always have gloves and garbage bags in my pickup just for picking up garbage at camp spots and camping restrooms. Always leave your campsite cleaner than you found it.

Not a fan of the meat masher fad. Bought one, tried it, and get the same result with a spatula. We have limited closet space, but tons of under bed storage. I keep seasonal clothes for the 2 of us in a soft sided bin under the bed. Packable coats are a space saver and warm.

I agree with everything, but I love my snap pads. We have a 20 foot trailer, not a lot of space so it's nice to not have to carry blocks.

I put my dry goods like flour, sugar, pasta, cereral in locking storage containers. They keep my cupboard more organized. It keeps the items fresher. Also reduces odors so when in bear country I don't have to store all those items in a bear locker.

It gets cold at night in the desert because there are no clouds, or much humidity to keep the heat from radiating away. That’s also why it warms up so nicely in the morning. I live in the Pacific Northwest now and it’s very noticeable in winter when we have clouds at night versus no clouds when the temperatures can be 20 degrees colder. Higher elevations are also colder. People dump things everywhere. I was at a BLM camp in New Mexico in December and it was coated in tiny pieces of broken glass which I didn’t see because I arrived after dark. I have small dogs and it didn’t bother them, but I wouldn’t have liked it for a larger dog. People dump their garbage up here in the PNW, but with all the vegetation it’s harder to see until you are on it. The old mattresses and appliances are probably because it costs so much to get rid of them. Costco charged me $50 to take away my old dryer, and the local dump charges $20 for some loads, but more if you really fill up the truck. When they dump it in the woods, or desert the county ends up paying for it, which is all of us. In Washington my tab renewal fee includes a charge for removing old abandoned RV’s as well because that happens a lot.

😂I was shopping Amazon for the shower magnets. Thought they were kind of expensive. Then I found some at Dollar Tree. A pack of 3 pair (quarter size) or 4 pair (nickel size). The only colors were pink or purple though.

I'm a 80 year old desert rat. Been here all my life. The Tonto National Forest is huge and mostly desert. It is only beautiful for about three weeks in the springtime if we have had a wet winter. Desert cacti and ground cover comes to life in color. The last cacti to bloom is the tall Saguaro cactus with big white flowers on top. When the desert undergrowth gets well watered and grows tall in the springtime it makes for a huge fire problem in the hot summer. Finding a place to camp along a desert stream that actually has water flowing will likely be before our temperature hits 100 degrees. Stay out of dry washes. Flash floods are common.

The only way to keep places clean is if you have RVers like you guys , good job guys😊

Walmart sporting goods area / fishing/ camping has “Gear Tie”. I have used the 12”. Great for securing cords, but absolutely wonderful for cupboards that come together in the middle but like to pop open. Along with the ties, I use a spring rod inside of the cupboard! Works great! Better than having unidentified flying objects “flying” while youre on the road!! 💖 Great subject as well as the slobs! I don’t approach offenders. Take their license plate # take pictures of their garbage and report it to the Rangers. You don’t know what someone’s mindset is ~

If you are in the desert in the winter, yes it gets cold even down to freezing at times. You also get rainy days and haboobs that blow through.

Husband and I shower only once or twice when on the road or boo dogging. We have adult wipes I found on Amazon. We wipe down the privates and wipe all over. I try to only wash my hair twice a week. This is how we save on water.
