    Like you said, not a lot of details for 24v house battery installs. Thanks very much for sharing!

    Thank you for your time and effort explaining this product. Once a person decides to use a 24-Volt auxiliary system there is really little clear information on key areas like the one you presented. Thanks again

    servizi o meglio evitare e collegare direttamente su quella
    motore?

    Great video and thanks for showing your stuff. I do a lot of electrical work and I'm wondering if maybe that long of a wire run might should be a lot larger Guage wire. I'm sure it's safe they way you did it but there would be much less losses with a much larger wire

    Thank you for your video. Not to many videos about 24v instalation in internet. That was helpfull as I am going connect my alternator with 24v battery too. Next I am going to watch "how to connect BMS to 24v battery". I will probably diy 24v 200ah battery. Already ordered 150A 8s BMS. Next thing to consider is balancer.

    Does this work as a stand-alone or does it work in conjunction with a solor charge controller?

    Thanks for the video series. I have a Victron 12|24 - 15 which is similar to your Victron except it has 15 amps instead of 10 and puts out 360 watts instead of 240 watts . Any problem using this with the system your setting up using the growatt and 24v battery system? Was going to use it in a different project but decided to use it to setup something similar to what you have.

      Hi Andy. No it is working beautifully. There is some adjustments that you need to make in the Bluetooth app to get it dialed in with your starter battery and alternator, but otherwise when I start the van it starts charging my lifepo4 battery as I drive. Let me know if you have any specific questions. Thanks. Please consider subscribing if you found the content useful. Thanks.

    I am using to charge 24v battery system for boat trolling motor with main engine alternator feeding my 12v starter battery. I got my starter battery wired to input and went to wire output wires to 24v but it sparks when I attempt to connect the positive. I paused and want to make sure I did not mess something up. Maybe it's right that it arcs as you connect the positive but hoping to confirm one way or other?

    What wiring size did you use for your 24v system with 24v batteries parallel connection? Did you connect the pos. & neg. directly to your deepcycle batteries?

    interested in doing this on a boat, for the starter bank to charge a 24V trolling motor bank. On these systems the negatives are not on the same ground bus bar. That is the negative for the trolling motor is not on the same bus bar as the starter battery negative. Is this a problem?

    Is the DC toDC charger connected to charge the same set of batteries that the growatt is charging

    I have 2018 promaster 159 it has a B PILLAR max 70 amp to connect for positive and negative rather than connecting it directly to leisure battery, and I have a 12-24-15 amp, you think this will run my victron?

    So you have the isolated dc to dc, what's the difference with non isolated? Can I use the leisure battery as main negative for the non isolated?

    I install my dc to dc 12-24 charger on my 24v batteries directly on the battery pos. & neg. After I charge my system after driving it shows I have 25.5 to 26 but when I get back to check my van my system died not sure if the victron taking the battery back to the leisure need help

    Can you explain the 10 amp v like a 40 amp?

    Newbie. I'm planning on doing the same setup for my Sprinter van. Could you have used the battery fuse panel and install a 60a midi fuse instead of the breaker? I noticed you went a different route then what I was thinking of and curious why you choose that method.

    • @thinkfreelivefree6951
      @thinkfreelivefree6951  2 роки тому

      Hi Jason, thank you for watching and for your support. Yes, you can use a midi fuse if you would like. The breakers that I used was about the same price and it allows me to turn of the circuit easy if I want. Also if the midi fuse blows its sometimes hard to know if it blew or not. Hope that helps. @@thinkfreelivefree6951 I have a Victron Orion TR Smart 12 | 12 30 Isolated on order but based off this and not really thinking about the 24V, I'm going to purchase the Victron Orion TR Smart 12 | 24 15 Isolated. I plan to use it to charge my Goal Zero 1500X which has a Anderson power pole connector charging port (input): 14-50V, up to 50A (600W max). My output run will be very short but the input run not so much.

      @@jasonhayes2778 Hi Jason. Yes that sounds right. If your run is longer from the input over 16 feet make sure to use 6 AWG, if shorter than 16 feet you can go with 8 AWG. Hope this helps.

    Why don't move it close to start battery? Use awg8 only

    • @thinkfreelivefree6951
      @thinkfreelivefree6951  3 роки тому

      Hi Gordon. Thank you for watching and for your support. I considered that at first so I could use 8 AWG throughout, 8 AWG was limited to 16 feet, however it also stated in the manual that the DC charger should sit close to the house battery and I also did not want the Victron Charger to sit out in the living area. So after considering everything I placed it close to my house battery out of the way. Thank you for watching and for your question.

    Did you mean 40 amp not 30 amp on the right side?

    • @thinkfreelivefree6951
      @thinkfreelivefree6951  2 роки тому +1

      Hi. So I have 2 breakers next to my kill switch and for the house battery side 24 volt side, it requires a 30 amp breaker. The 40 amp breaker goes to my DC distribution panel. On the 12 volt side by the starter battery, you will install a 60 amp breaker. Hope this helps and clerifies things for you. Please consider subscribing if you found the content useful. Thanks.

      If i choose the 8 gauge wire to use in 12 v how long can i run it? And I'll pick the 6 gauge wire for only short run is that fine?
