I just traded a base 718 Boxster, which has the 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder, for a Boxster GTS 4.0. I loved driving the base, but I wanted the sound and performance characteristics of the NA 6-cyl and wanted to own one of the last ones before they go extinct!

A huge part of the price increase is caused by European car makers being fined by the EU for not hitting thier targets for sales of EV's, as of 2o25 almost every combustion engined car will carry a €15,000 fine!. Europe has gone completely mad and the UK as usual is going along with this insanity.

The 2 crests should have been showed next to each other, not one after the other. As for the crests on the Fuchs wheels, the 992.1 has it in color, the 992.2 in black and white. I wonder why ? Like you I’m not bothered by the full digital display which offers quite a few advantages. Only the new 992.2 GT3s have kept the key knob. The push button looks a bit cheap. As for the front and rear design alterations, there wasn’t much wrong with the 992.1 iteration but I actually prefer the 992.2. All told, small changes (cosmetic ones), but worth while ones. 😎

Greetings I'm thinking about buying a 992.2 with a manual transmission next year. Is it necessary to add the front axle lifting system? I would like to know what you think. Thank you

There is a reason why I watch every youtube video with an adblocker and at 2x speed. People take an excruciatingly long time to say a whole lot of nothing these days.

Thank you for the tutorial. My salesman didn’t do such a thorough job of explaining things at my pickup, 2024 992.1T. I have been trying to add an app I have added to my iPhone to my Porsche screen but have been unsuccessful at it, even after some extensive online research. Can you explain how this process works and even if it is possible to add an app that I have downloaded to my iPhone not native to Apple. For extra context, it’s a radio station app that does work through the car audio when opened on my phone. But it would be much more convenient if the icon appeared on the Porsche screen. I’ve heard some reservations about the digital tach, whilst less “classic”, it does refresh faster for more accurate readings on a fast revving motor. Carbs would be more classic as well but alas I learned to accept EFI without complaint 😂

Give me a brake who drives a suv as a race car. Porsche has several cars to drive like a racer. While the driver may want to enjoy the high speed drive. The passengers are not so enamored with the ride. Plus the vast majority of the SUV’s are city street cars and you can only get tickets for the power you have.

Let me talk about mountains and tunnels. Cabriolet in the mountains is an unparalleled experience. The views are mindblowing. You see so much more with the top down. Your passenger will love it too. But the best part? The way the exhaust echoes of the mountian walls back into the cabin. It sounds like an F1 race. Tunnels too! But just driving past streams, waterfalls, overlooks - oh and sunsets with the top down!! At night you can look up see the milky way. If it starts to sprinkle drop to 30mph and the top goes up in 7 seconds. Highly highly recommend Cabs

Oof. You never put the windows up? Top down + deflector up + windows up + heat/ac = perfection

I am pretty sure that the black cable by the brake line is for the brake wear sensor. I think the PASM cable might go into top of the shock/strut.

​ @mikerusznak The 2.5 is the best of all worlds. I also have the 2.0 and a V8 NA RS5. You can't beat the drivability of a turbo powered fine tuned Porsche motor. They all sound great. The 2.0 does everything a quick nimble car should do. And with a turbo it is easy to dial in how much go you want. With the 2.0 I can go sideways all day long without burning up a set of rears. Enjoy the ride in any of the above, but also don't forget to grab an R53 Mini Cooper S, the FWD sideways mobile.

GTS Cabriolet manual shift ❤

Love my GTS….optioned out and loaded. It’s like my 911 on stilts. Handles wonderfully for a daily and having a back seat and lift gate is great. I drive it in manual all the time with sport settings. My wife has the Audi SQ5. No comparison related to handling and feel.

Let’s cut the bs. You are buying an Audi in drag. Both motors are absolute nightmares. The 4 liter and 2.9 are nothing but plastic fantastic and the prolific use of Audi engines will absolutely destroy the reliability.

I’m torn between the new Cayenne GTS and Audi RSQ8 performance I’ve loved my cayennes in past but for same price in Audi I get 140 hp more and carbon ceramics standard.

I own a 2023 Macan GTS. I recently drove a loaner from our Porsche dealer. It was a base Cayene and it is much higher off of the ground and drives like it. It was a pleasant car to drive but there is a chasm of difference between the two vehicles. My wife expresses it well, the GTS “it is a sports car with a hatchback.” I love my Macan GTS for every minute that that I drive.

Very good points. I really prefer driving the Macan GTS but we have two 45lb aussies that come everywhere with us. I don't like having the back seats folded down to carry them so we ended up with a Cayenne S. Nice vehicle, but I would never call it nimble after driving a Macan. Our next will probably be a GTS Cayenne. Agree with you on the red. Guards Red in particular, but the Carmine is a nice color as well. Thanks for the video!

After 3 months of research I found a 2024 Macan GTS in chalk. I have factory hitch, it’s 2in and towing capacity is 4400lbs. Love it.

OK, in fairness, the reason you sell more of these than anything else is because there is a supply issue; Porsche makes the 911 hard to get and they make the SUVs easy to get.

Although Macan GTS needs another refresh with more modern features, it is sportier and much closer to reflect Porsche heritage than the latest Cayenne. It has the traditional key fob on the left with mechanical instruments panel and traditional mechanical shifter.
