Hi Justin and everyone. The white power on/off button with rubber protector on my Rugdoctor is stuck firmly pressed down in the on position, please help me anyone to fix this problem thankyou.
👍 thanks for the info
Really like your front suspension setup, was it a kit or something put together ? Just got a yerf dog and the front steering and suspension is nothing short of nightmare and want to get it more efficient and stronger where can i get those wheel hubs you have ?? That's something i see as problematic and bearings on front wheels are shot so needs repairing but aint repairing with the factory shit, nice setup 👌
@@4077661466jp thanks! the front suspension kit can be ordered from Bdxperformance.com parts - yerfdog - heavy duty parts. a-arms, spindles, HD 4x4 hubs. I believe everything is in stock except for the tie rod extension pieces. those can be easily fabricated though.
The Fiero seats work as well if you'd like a different alternative.. I put a set in my '73 a few years back. A reall y good seat. Good work there though. I used 2 flat stock bars as well, but the Fiero seat tracks don't require any mods.
@@chrisfrank8413 thanks. yes they are a good option taking into consideration you're able to find Fiero seats in good shape and decent price. which I wasn't. I'm very happy the fitment and looks of these. I think I perfer theses over the Fiero seats.
@@justinsauer5682 Those look like some awesome seats. I'll tellyou what though. that '73 was one of the biggest PITAs to work on i've ever seen, everything is hidden.
Thank you so much! I will look at my Dr Rug tonight.
Do you have the stock steering shaft on it ?
@@max27dy17 yes
Thank you for help❤
Hey quick question I been trying to find some tie rods to go with the rack and pinion but I’m having a hard time finding them. I was wondering if you knew where I could get some at ? Thank you
@@max27dy17 I would try these guys bdxperformance.com/products/tie-rod-end-for-yerf-dog-gx150-1pc-1 they are out of stock. call them I know they order from China and their shipments are always off schedule. BMI karts. first places I would check.
Is it still for sale?
pumping on x pumping on x pumping on x pills got a new car got a new bitch and I got a new deal
Hi do know how to get the o-ring out of the spray hose connector on the DCC-1 RDoc. My hose fitting is leaking badly because it is stuck in the unit water attachment port. I got NEW o-ring for the machine and I can’t get it to even go into the slot. I looked down into the port and the old o-ring is still in there. I couldn’t get it out. Should I try again or just take the rug doctor to a professional.? I do a lot of work on my cars and stuff around my house. So I’m NO beginner. Should I just tear into the thing and hope for the best.! Thank for your reply Rich D.
Beautiful job !!! So often, amateurs graduated from the Ray Charles College of Automotive Knowledge. Like the Yerf Dog we just bought. Yours is beautiful.
@@stevejette2329 thanks!
How many links is the chain you got?
when you use the vise grips, if you put them in as far as you can it will keep the tire in the smallest part of the rim. This will assist what you are doing by standing on the tire
Where did you get the rack and pinion? I am in phx AZ where is a good place?
@@TravisFillmore-w2t this was the rack and pinion off the go-kart. hard to find, ebay, someone parting out theirs.
thanks for this video. it was very helpful. is there a better version of this pump that can replace the existing one? one that will have me not removing it every 6 months?
@@davidl7672 thanks! I would recommend making sure the pump is dry before storing the rug Dr between uses. meaning remove the fresh water tank from the unit, then run the pump until the all the water has been expelled from the spray nozzle of the unit. you can alway run equal parts white vinegar and water thru the pump let it sit for an hour or so in the pump then expel the solution. this will hell keep the pump free from calcium buildup from the hard water. or you can use 100 percent distilled water in the rug Dr, but that's just not practical.
I cannot thank you enough! You described it so well, I fixed the pump with absolutely no prior experience with these things, saving 100s of $. Thank you again!!
thank you for all your efforts showing the solution, especially thank you for the good camera angles and clear video quality!
That thing is mint!! Nice build 👌
Looks good. Too bad you don’t use it
@@Noah-u2z huh, what’s that supposed to mean?
@@Noah-u2z did you purchase my go-kart
Sounds like you have some piston slap
What hubs did you use?
Best solution: Toss the pump altogether and go buy an ULKA 53W almost identical brand new pump for 1/3 the price and 3X BETTER than this Asian junk.
you have the same problem with the ULKA pump. Problem is not with the pump, the problem is with hard water calcium buildup in the pump. that will happen to any pump you throw in there.
*Ulka 53w shows as a 220V pump, not 110V, will it still work? Thanks in advance*
What's your top speed
Great video. Exactly what I needed. My pump was slightly different but I figured it out. Good point about making sure you remember the direction and careful disassembly.
hello where did you buy your torsion spring?

What motor I was thinking of putting a 301 is that to small ?
the grips or clamps on one side is the trick, I used a screw driver to pull flap over. Thank You!
Soon as i seen the dad shoes i knew this ws gonna be great advice
I was trying to put on a tire for my go kart for about 20 minutes, and i didnt even get the front part of the rim inside the tire. Your idea with lubricant and that tool helped me get both of the front rims completely inside in only 6 minutes! An honestly helpful video.
Ain’t no way I’m getting this tire on
How much did you cut off the center cross bar
I just made a similar spring tensioner on my buggy. Haven't had a chance to see if it makes a difference. Have you noticed a difference with yours? Not throwing chains as much?
This chain tensioner works great. Never have an issue with it throwing a chain. Keeps constant pressure on the chain so it doesn't slap around loose.
@justinsauer5682 Awesome. I'm running a Duromax 440 (basically the same as your Predator 420). I have the same engine plate too. I have plenty of room to move the engine to tighten the chain but I got tired of constantly adjusting the chain before and after every ride. Last thing I needed was to get stranded. Thanks again for the idea.
Did you end up having any issues after installing 50# springs? I’m about to do that on mine but everyone in the fb groups are telling me that it’s going to destroy my cam/lobes
You need to install heavier springs when the governor is removed the higher rpm and stock springs will cause your valves to "float" you can Google it and read more about it. This can cause the piston to hit the valves. I never ran into any issue after installing 50lb springs. Good luck.
Also be aware on the newer 420cc predator, the stock iginiton coil has a built in spark limiter that limits the RPMs even if you remove the governor. You need to install after market coil or the old style coil without the spark limiter.
This think is BAD ASSSSS
Just wanted to let you know, I have a tire shop. We do 26” low pros with ease. I’m on UA-cam right now to avoid all the work me and two of my employees had to do for one 8” golf cart tire. Literally the most difficult tire i have ever done in my life 🤣 you just made what we had to do look so easy.
Thanks

Cool build, but I've got a question. I recently built a kart that is very similar to your Yerf-Dog (custom frame but same basic layout, 440cc instead of 420cc, engine mounted to swingarm just like yours). Do you ever notice gas dripping from the carb insulator (black plastic peice) behind the carb? I have been told that there's a vent there. Just want to confirm if it's normal since the engine travels with the suspension.
Thanks very good. this also workd for the large rug docotors . Good job save people som money. Nice.
Excellent instructions! Worked perfectly and saved me some cash.
I took advantage of this weakness. Got the Rug Dr. Pro X3 for free, $90 for updated pump. Made it pretty cheap for me! 30 minutes later it was fixed!
What size sprocket di you use? And can you put the link?
