I have trekked the Himalayas 4 times, both the Khumbu region (Everest) and the Annapurnas. Well done on your trek. Kalla Pattar is a killer to climb. Nepal changed my life. I love it there.

You only have to wrap the sleeper hold strap around the seat for very few types of seats like southwest. Other than that, you wrap it around the head rest and that won’t bother the person behind. FYI

Spent 5 years stationed there , some of the best times of my life and many memories. Maybe someday I will get to visit again as a civilian.

Wonderful! I was stationed on Kadena from 1992 to 1999 in the Air Force. Also took the IPCOT. Lived right on the HIja river until we moved on base. Took part in many of the events you described. The University of Maryland Asian Division was headquartered there and I was able to complete my Bachelor's degree. Scuba dived while there as well... I could go on and on. Such a beautiful experience for me and my family.

Okinawa sucks being deployed there in the Military… Maybe it would have been different as a civilian. The island 🏝️ stinks 😷 and climate is off the chain humid.

I followed my Okinawan girlfriend to her home of Okinawa from Oakland CA where we met. I was a Navy Corpsman and got stationed at Marine Corps Camp Butler. I was there from 1975-1978. Nothing in the video is recognizable. My best friends were Japanese people from Tokyo who got tired of the rat race and moved to Okinawa where life moves slower.

Great overview of Okinawa! My wife is Japanese, so we travel to Japan each year (From U.S.) and visited Okinawa once, basically around around the whole perimeter of the island. What do you think is a good cost estimate to live there, let's say outside of but near Naha. Do you think $1300-$1800 is a good rough estimate for monthly expenses with a 1 bedroom apartment that has a living room and kitchen?
