I wonder how this compares to the Ryobi mowers that are electric?
The blade does not suck the grass up like gas mowers do, the design is just flat on the blade gas mowers have a bend to help suck up the grass to blow it out the shoot. Just not enough power to suck and throw, but yea they do cut.

Can you take genuine craftsman 2.0 amp circuit board battery and swap circuit board with the cheap battery and make the cheap battery work again ? I have the cheap knock off 8.0 amp I just bought over a year now and it's failing the same way . I have a genuine craftsman 2.0 amp battery over close to 4 years now completely dead that I would not mind swapping out circuit board with the 8.0 amp . Do you think it will work ?
It's a possibility that it could work as long as the circuit board mounts in the same location exactly and the balancing charging wires would have been matched up exactly as the Craftsman battery was wired. I can't tell you 100% for sure unless I pull them apart and map the boards and connections to the battery.

I have examined the Fyearfly brand, there are other brands of this product, but is it any good?
@@muratgurner4355 I used it over the weekend, camping with 3 of my grandkids. They constantly turned the light on and off and we used the light while playing cards. Its still almost fully charged. We didn’t need the fan (hi-64, lo-34), so I expect the fan would run the battery down a lot more. Hope this helps.

I won't ever buy those replacement battery packs, instead I will just buy Samsung batteries and rebuild them myself, it's a lot cheaper. Cordless drills are like computer printers, the ink costs more than what an entire printer with new ink costs and everyone wonders why the landfills are full of printers and other plastic crap.

i do a lot of backpacking and camping, to me it seems small enough to pack up but just wanted to get your opinion! great video thanks!
I mean it's not ultra small. About the size of a softball. The blade is removable as well. I think it would be good for a backpacking provides good light and cooling as well as charge phone. The charging is not super fast but probably would charge the phone overnight.

I don't know if this trick will work for the off brand battery but it did for a Craftsman. I have a Craftsman brand battery with the cells made in China that was showing charged when you pressed the test button and would show 20 volts using a meter. (I've had no problems with batteries indicating the cells were made in Malaysia.) I put the battery in a tool and the tool would not run. I tried it in several tools but not a light. The light coming on for a second then going off was happening with this battery. I "tickled" the battery with a 12 v car battery for just a few seconds and it worked. Thank you for this video! I got a similar mower, also Craftsman, but self-propelled and slightly different design features. But this video helped me get started assembling it when the diagrams in the manual weren’t the most helpful.
Does the battery have to be fully charged in order for it to work?

I bought one, assembled it, tested it to see if it ran. just a quick dry run. It ran. I then charged the batteries over night, got up, mowed about 12 feet of grass and it turned off and will not start. I read the manual. Then after not finding a solution I borrowed a lawnmower. I'm hoping it is that spring in the video. If not I have 30 days to return it.
Just a reminder the batteries have overheat technology built into them and so does the mower. Hope everything works out fine for you they're pretty good mowers.
@@stower82 Is there a reset somewhere for this? I didn't see anything in the manual. The batteries where giving off the correct light pattern of blinking then solid when charged.
@@NoNo-dq4mc if the batteries or the mower get overworked too much thermal shut down can happen. Should be fine after cool down.
@@stower82 well, I couldn't get it to work. I am returning it tomorrow and getting a gas powered mower. These plastic battery mowers seem manufactured for obsolescence. I know Insolation is a factor, but so is structural integrity. It's an excuse at this point. I'd start taking it apart, but I'd not be able to get a refund. Hope yours keeps going. May try one again one day. Thanks for the video and help. It was worth the try.
@@NoNo-dq4mc yep you lose some and you win some. Yes Mine is still working 2 years strong and hopefully another year. To be honest the only reason I bought an electric push mower is because of all the maintenance and carb rebuilding I had to do all the time to it. Wife used the gas one but I was the one having to rebuild the carburetor or clean it out every year due to her not running it out of fuel for storage like I told her to do several times. Once I bought this one for her she said she would never go back to the gas and quite frankly I'm glad cuz I don't have to fix that thing anymore 🤣🤣🤣

Sometimes the cheaper batteries have a higher fail safe circuitry when something is slightly out of whack to protect themselves from lawsuits. Also, it doesn't take much of anything to power an LED flashlight.
