Have you ever wanted to pull off a bike packing trip on an electric bike?
Well, we did just that! We took the Aventon Ramblas on a huge bike packing adventure and chose the Cowichan Valley 8. Found on Bikepacking.com, this route is one of the more popular route on Vancouver Island.
Starting in Port Angeles, we rode the Blackball Ferry to Victoria for the start of this iconic trail. After a long day in the saddle, I used the town of Lake Cowichan as my stopping spot for day one and stayed in the comfort of a cottage, so that I could charge the Ramblas up for day two.
Day two was equally as far, with lots of amazing views along the way, including a fun ferry ride to North Saanich. From there we rode the Lochside Trail back into Victoria so we could catch the Blackball back to the USA.
Amazing trip and it couldn't have gone any better. The Aventon Ramblas performed like a champ and has given us huge confidence to do more trips like this!
