You will need airvents in the battery house or the inverter won't be happy. My inverter is in a breeze block shed and even with ventilation it sometimes reaches 49°.

Hi guys, like the video a lot. I bought a similar system for my VW LT 35. But I saw that some sprinter owners with this had reported cracks on both sides where the airbags are located. The vid I saw the guy traveling Europe had done 40000 miles before noticing it. How is your metal above the airbags. Anyhow I really hope that this was an isolated event. They reckon you can fix it with stronger leaf springs and keeping the airbag at minimum to keep the space that the rubber stop protected. Also the cracks can be welded. The structure of the camper van is safer as the body of your van helps the suspension so no need to be alarmed. Thanks...Ray

I can't wait until the day you harvest olives and take them to be processed into oil. I'm sorry this didn't happen this year perhaps November 2024 will be different. I love watching the Portugal videos and the transition from not having the skill set of harvesting olives to a first-time harvest is just the best. Green doesn't mean it's not ripe there are several varieties of olives. I'm not an expert I've just been enjoying videos from Portugal. Good luck and you guys are doing an amazing job, it's fun to watch your videos.

Don’t do it! Properly is very inexpensive in the center of Portugal, I wonder what the problem could possibly be? Well here is a few things to consider. Water is seasonal, no water in summertime however, this is compounded by forest fires. Our bugs eat lumber, our contractors here will eat your money, then poof, they disappear. The laws favor the locals. I promise, you will never fit in, your kindness will be used against you. We have lived in Portugal for four years, don’t do anything permanent until you spend a year or two getting to know your way around.

Great Job!!! Maybe consider building a temporary roof over the trailer and extend it over the front so you have shade from the sun and a place out of the rain. Another couple had the same issue with their trailer & they made a temp. shelter out of whatever they found at the recycling place or what others threw out..they even used old doors with windows for side walls.. Its serving them well. Good luck!!! Looks like an exciting adventure.

You already have a tiny home you travel in. Live in the van until you get "established", (i.e. self sustaining) then build your permanent home.

Why didn't you start the drive way at the front gate so that the next load can just drive on.

Some great gardening there in your first season with a huge variety of blooms to come. Get yourself some spices and herbs for companion planting along with bulbs/ flowers for pollinators. Lots of jams, pies, chutneys and sauces to keep you busy also! Lol. Couple of tips. Those compost bags can be turned inside out. Just cut them open from the top. You can put weeds in ere, place them in the sun and the heat will be absorbed and kill off all seeds etc. This will make really rich, fine compost for seeds in the following spring. Also, make yourself plenty of compost tea which when sprayed or watered over everything will be a pest control, a feeder, enricher and bring shiny, very healthy plants. Great journey so far after just coming across your channel.

Oh my God! You've damaged those trees. Please you need someone who knows how to prune olive trees. It's NOT something anyone can do. I moved from London UK over ten years ago to the mountains in central Italy and first thing I did is I asked a local old man to show me how to prune the olive trees. Please, please, don't do that with any trees, ask, pruning trees is science/ a precise method to cut some of the branches to make the tree produce more. What you did with that olive tree will take years for it to recover, if it recovers. Please don't, it breaks my heart to see that done to ancient trees.
