    As a 20+ year aircraft mechanic in the Air Force it's not everyday you see system overviews as clear and concise as this was! Thank you, this will help me in my preventative maintenance efforts with my home unit! I'm experiencing a full drip pan and it's heavy drainage so I feel more equipped to remedy this situation.

      Once it dries (24-48 hours) it will fade linearly over time. Direct sunlight and rain showers will shorten the sheen. I would feel comfortable saying a 1-2 months.

    9:42 you don't have a "CO2" detector, you have a "CO" detector. CO2 is carbon dioxide, CO is carbon monoxide.. just saying..

      Thank you!@@housetalk1636 Ours went out and I finally decided to replace it. The new GE has a different trim face but I did not want to damage this one in case it also worked. The trim piece alone is over 200 dollars!

    do not drain condensate line to outside, in winter if it gets below 32F it will freeze and block the drainage, better to drain to another drain line inside home such as kitchen drain or bathroom sink drain

    Nice video, great explanation. I'm with maker of Safe-T-Switch. I suggest adding second sensor, or just utilize SS2 to go in secondary port of AC Coil (primary drain pan). Also suggest our transparent trap, EZT-113B (comes w/ cleanout brush). Finally, address rust draining using pH-Pro condensate acid neutralizer. Easy to install, easy to maintain.

      The 2 bottom front screws... screw into the spacer boards that are screwed to the cabinet. Or... you can use 2 longer screws that will go through the trim and the spacer boards together.

    My pressure gauge is reading 90. I have replaced the valve with a fire sprinkler safety firm in 2019. However recently I hear a humming sound coming from the fire sprinkler box in my garage. I called the firm and they said it’s almost 5 years and I should consider replacing the valve or gauge again. The service fees are outrageous the parts are minimal. I’m on the fence. Could it be something related to my irrigation system . Should I have the irrigation system looked at instead?

    @housetalk1636 Thanks for the video. I had the same issue with my GE profile microwave and I was able to fix it keeping the old trim. One question, how did you screw the trim at the bottom? There is nothing to hold the screws for me as the bottom bracket is taken out. It's now loose and slides when I open the microwave door.

    Hi Doug, I ordered the address unit you suggested from Amazon. My son was tasked with trying to remove the old one and found it was cemented to the outside wall. It didn't matter that the two screws were easy to remove, he couldn't remove the unit. Any suggestions??

      @@housetalk1636 My outside wall is the brick style and I wouldn't know how to repair that if we damaged it. It is not stucco. The reason for trying the solar light is that on the original one, I have one bulb that works only when a second one is plugged in but the second one won't light and they are all new bulbs.

    Old house. Do have an outside pipe on outside wall draining water. Where is it draining?

    • @housetalk1636
      @housetalk1636 2 роки тому

      Yes, the air conditioning condensation routes outside by design. It just drains to the ground. In Arizona where the humidity is very low the amount that drains is less than a gallon per hour. Humid regions may drain larger quantities.

    Great video! I also have a GE Profile Microwave that failed and needs to be replaced - the old microwave had a metal frame/stand attached to the microwave as well as a metal duct running over the top of the microwave to direct air flow and moisture. With your solution, without the metal duct, do you have any issues with moisture getting trapped and accumulating in the wooden cabinet?
