Based on just pure looks, Shun Oguri did a great job. But he was definitely a more uncaring and a little too laid-back version of Shinichi. I absolutely agree on every single point you mentioned about Shinichi being fun and caring when it comes to Ran, but this Shun Oguri version was a bit too apathetic for me. Ran was awesome though, and their height difference <3

Don't forgot that India also dubbing the all the movies right now ETV Bal Bharat channel is actively dubbing Detective Conan movies and episodes in various languages like English, Hindi, and Marathi in other language also Interestingly they’ve also dubbed movies into English that didn’t originally have an English dub creating their own English versions specifically for India I think they almost dubbed all the movies at this point😅

I do wonder if Fox Kids ever made a finished test pilot of the show in the States. If so then that would predate this dub. But the likelihood of that being released to the public, if it even exists, would be slim to none.

I honestly laughed when Genta fell. These kids have become so much more annoying and flanderized since the beginning. I hardly recognize them anymore, mainly in the non canon stuff like movies where they're written so poorly

The first half was terrible but the second half was great. Except that scene where they stop the ferris wheel. The stunts have just been getting more and more absurd.
