As a Haibara fan this movie was everything I wanted…! The trailer from movie 25 had me in a chokehold for a year! I watched it 7 time at the theatre. The lack for the mystery itself is the only miss for me, everything else was absolutely gorgeous!
My favorite scene is when gin tries to kill naomi and haibara and haibara realizes he’s there. It really shows how dangerous he is and how people consider him even if he’s not the boss or not as important as rum, which is something you understand by also looking at pinga and his jealousy. I also like how they used kir more in this movie, instead of doing basically nothing like in movie 20
I felt Gin was more scary in M5. Only because his role in M5 is now divided into several other members in this film essentially making him just bark orders around instead of actually executing.
YESSSS I'm so glad you loved this film! First one I ever saw in cinemas and definitely is my new favourite movie, glad to see you liked it. Also saw the community post, take all the time ya need
tbh its been a long time since i watch a good movie from this franchise but when this was released, my hope was finally heard. I was really hoping they wont bring another bullshit coz that movie scarlet bullet still haunted me. but this movie made me so happy especially as a haibara fan. and seeing how bo was portrayed in this movie was something i've been waiting ever since dc series had become so "kids friendly" in every ep. it gave me the vibes of early eps and early bo related movies in the franchise. anyways its so fun going through all of your reviews, though i am not done yet lol
The one who do music scoring (instrumental for the movie) is Yugo Kanno, the one who also scoring for JoJo's anime series (from part 1 until the latest part, Part 6). He start music scoring for Detective Conan Movie since Movie 25
Movies 26 and 5 really are my favorite (probably cuz I'm Haibara simp but anyway) There are many great scenes, but the one with Naomi and Ai crying literally broke me in tears, also, the one where Conan and Haibara slowly reaching the surface to avoid decompression sickness, Ran's action scene was really nice too. The opening music gave me goosebumps, it really felt like underwater~ Overall a great movie
Thank you my man for mentioning the sound design of the movie! Hands down one of the best if not the best sound design for any DC movie. Right from the get go, I had the chills! The orchestra that introduces the starting credit, fabulous, those music especially where Hakase is crying, and the one where Shiho is dreaming of the day she took the pill to take her own life. Music so grave you could feel it in your guts, how the stakes had never been this higher before! Great work, Also the Spitz OST was also Good! Overall it was a movie where the music was also really blockbuster worthy! Aside from the mystery part, one another gripe I had with movie would be Kogoro was pretty much unutilized. Atleast in Halloween Bride, before spending the rest of the movie in Hospital, he had atleast saved Haibara, but this movie, He's just there for being Sleeping Kogoro !
And finally, the last movie to be reviewed So uh, Movie 26 was quite good, even if I think it goes too far with CoAi fanservice, but it is still a pretty enjoyable movie. Now what's next for you and your channel? Are you still gonna make Detective Conan videos? Like analysis, episode reviews or even theories? I'd actually be looking forward to these type of content, since I feel there isn't much DetCo youtuber out there (probably because of copyright)
Here’s the original ending for this movie: 1. Pinga didn’t die from the explosion and saved by Conan, but was killed by other BO members when he’s about to be sent for interrogation. 2. Ran went in coma and Haibara saved her. 3. The scene where Conan and Haibara float to the ocean surface was supposed to be in a serious tone but Gosho suggested this scene to be a little bit romantic.
For me without a shadow of a doubt, film 26 is the best of the franchise (I haven't seen 19 and 21 to 24 yet) but I would be surprised if it surpassed them. The storyline is incredible, the scene of Ai's kidnapping is one of the best in the entire franchise, between Ran's intervention, the chase and above all, Agasa's heartbreaking tears.. And on top of that, the music is great and the action is excellent (and as a French, I'm proud to say that it was a French woman who animated the final shot of Conan!). In short, what an incredible film
I think finally we have an agreement in opinions😂. This is also the first movie that was released in India and it was nice to see this in theatres! Soundtrack was by Yugo Kanno, who took the job of composing soundtrack from Movie 25. Also Naomi's father barely survived the assassination, it was revealed in post credit scene. And my BO movie ranking is : M26 > M13 ~ M5 > M20 Don't know when it will happen but waiting for next BO movie ... maybe M31?
I think my favorites were probably Movie 6, 4, and 5. In my mind they all created an atmosphere where I was worried for them. All of them just had interesting ideas that they wanted to present, which was pretty cool.
Have fun watching movie 27 (if you haven't already). I saw it last friday, but of course l won't spoiler anything. I also loved movie 26. Haibara was sooo cute in this movie. ❤
i was so surprised when ran n haibara kissed ffs. it shoulda been a good coai movie but dawg.. (aint complaining though) every haibara centered movie is always a BANGER. as always, haibara takes the W.
What is your favorite Conan film and why is it Movie 5?
Movie 6, and no it's not Movie 5
It might be great but not better than Movie 6
you can't convince me otherwise >:)

Almost every time a movie/episode is centered around Haibara it turns into something amazing. She really is one of the best characters
For the first time we saw Agasa crying, so it was a great moment to show the emotional bond b/w Agasa & Haibara

It's incredible how fast movie 26 rocketed at the top of my favorite Conan movie list even before the mid point.
