Wow, it's changed a bit since I was there in July 1981. I stayed at a small guest house called Sea Breeze, run by some lovely people.

Great vlog, thank you. It is now over 20 years since my parents passed, also all the family elders who cam to England in the 50s and 60s are longer living. As such I no longer hear Creole being spoken it is great to hear it again. Although I do not speak it, (as I have no one to speak it to) I still understand everything. I will be going from my home here in England over to St Lucia next year…..I cannot wait to reach there.

Thanks for showing covering the breadfruit with turmeric leaves.ln St. Lucia we also used banana ,macambu or lobster claw (barlizye) leaves.The English name for tesor for those outside St.Lucia is coalpot. I'm American my husband is jamaican I love their culture so I've searched on UA-cam for country style living because it reminds me of when we visit back home and I want to incorporate more of the Caribbean culture in our household.
