Hey I’m Zarek. Starting this channel up primarily to post some guitar videos. I’ve been playing music since I was 4. Got my first guitar then and shortly after got a drum set. Played drums for about 9 years and played guitar on and off during that time period. My drum set was all beat up and we got rid of it during a move so I picked up guitar again and have been playing just guitar regularly for about 6 years. I’ve always loved music it’s been a big part of my life and would like to share some of it with you guys. Hope you enjoy these videos.

Alright so this is gonna be a new one. It’s darker than anything I’ve ever written. This song wrote itself in about 2 hours over 2 days. Maybe I should go get checked out lol. But this is a murder ballad. I listened to crooked teeth by Zach Bryan on repeat for a couple days at work and this is the result. My first murder ballad, won’t be the last. I don’t have a name for it so if you guys have any name suggestions after listening to it throw them out there.

What happened to country (original by Zarek Michalski)
Переглядів 2733 роки тому
These song is my tribute to the country music that can be called just that. Today’s “country music” doesn’t live up the the music the greats produced. Took a lot of imagination to get this one done. I hope you guys can catch the references to the old songs. And I hope you enjoy.

Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve posted. Have taken a break from the page cause I’ve been very busy. But planning on posting more regularly again. Have a couple originals already lined up just patching them and getting everything exactly how I want before I post them. Anyways here’s a new song. The American Workhorse. I wanted to do a song that kinda goes out to all the blue collar guys out t...

When I Die (original by Zarek Michalski) Hey guys. Thought about what a few people have said and really knuckled down on getting an original done. It’s taken me a long time to get this how I want it. Basically it’s a song about what I consider to be utopia on earth, where I’ve spent my life so far, and how and where I want to spend the rest of it. So please give it a listen all the way through ...

Workin on a new song. Don’t know what to call it. Guess when I get the lyrics completely done I’ll name it based on the lyrics. If you haven’t guessed by this is about the poor struggling to get by, or even to say alive. Been there done that. A line in the song so far is taken from a personal experience of my own. Gotta get water somehow. More to come. Just a preview. Don’t know when it will be...

Here’s a song I had requested by one of my followers. Took me some time to get vocals down for this one it was a strange one for me. But Corbyn I hope it’s what you were expecting. I did my best on it and it took so long cuz I wanted it to be the best I could get it so hopefully it shows and I hope you enjoy it.
Attempt at Bob fudge tutorial

Hey guys. Here is the tutorial. I apologize it’s pretty bad. This is the first tutorial I’ve ever done and Like I said I’m horrible at trying to teach guitar. I hope what I posted is enough to answer some questions you had and gets you to where you can play the song. If you have any other questions this video doesn’t answer please leave a comment and I’ll do my best to answer in writing. Also j...

Hell yeah brother, this is great!!
Killer
You should check out open mics at Sawmill Brewing in Merrill on Thursday
Nice work!
You’re very Wisconsin and I love it. Everything from your hoodie to the closet door behind you reminds me of where I live.
WOW man beautifully done
Nice job sir!
Did u learn this by ear?
Yes and No I just looked up a towns version cover/tutorial and I had listened to colters quite a bit and just tried to figure out the differences and do the best I could.
Astounding. Did you make a pact with the devil?
amazing!!!!
What a fuckin great cover. Thanks for posting.
Awesome!
Killer cover 👍🏼
Why put Colter Wall in the title? Disrespectful
Where did you learn to play? Self taught? What did you use for resources? I ask all this because your playing is the exact style im trying to get to.
Thankyou. And self taught. And UA-cam. Any songs I couldn’t pick up by listening to and finding similarities with other songs I already know and trying to bridge the gap I just looked at any evidence I could find of said person playing that song.
Awesome tutotial! Thanks brother !
Here I am again trying to learn this amazing song. Very good your version man, excellent lesson. I feel lost here in Brazil enjoying these songs so good. Thanks brow!
Tuning? Chords?
This is amazing
You naild it as good as the original
Jesus chrsut dude, this is imsane!
soooo killer brother. What tab did you use? im trying to figure it out
Great cover! 🙌 I did a cover of this but I found it hard to remember the picking while singing it 😂
It is the hardest song I’ve ever learned. Definitely a tough one to sing and pick to at the same time but with the right amount of practice it definitely is doable. Gonna be posting an updated version as this version was a bit rough to what I’ve got now.
@@zarekmichalski4995 Nice one!
Dude Ive been looking for a rhythmic process for the right hand. Thanks man. Good Stuff
It’s an oldie. I think George Jones did it in the 60’s.
It shows in spades my dude, fantastic cover. I will revisit this video for inspiration before making my own!
Absolutely amazing
Nice job! I like how you put your own personal twist on the picking pattern
Thankyou. I actually never found a tutorial so I had to listen like a million times and pull what I could from it and improvise the rest. I’m glad you like it.
Best home cover ever!
this is sick. Is this drop D?
Thankyou!! Drop c and the high e string is also tuned to c.
Great job ser 👏 I answered my own question. Its standard tuning right?
I believe it tuned down a full step. I haven’t played this in so long I can’t remember but it’s wither standard or tuned down a full step.
Cool singing bro 😎
Shelf in a room? Or nah
Shelf in a room?? Not sure what you mean
Just looked it up. By days of the new. The only song I know by them is touch peel and stand. I guess shelf in the room and this are similar but at the same time not. I did not get any inspiration from shelf in the room for this song though.
@@zarekmichalski4995 oh I wasn't saying that man. I was just drawing the reference is all. Great Job
I thought this was really good. I did think that the vocals were a little low in volume compared to how loud the guitar was. You should re do it with louder vocals. I did think it was really good though.
I appreciate the kind words and constructive criticism. This along with a couple others I am working on re doing since I’ve had a lot of time to work on them and my voice has matured and playing has gotten better. And I do agree with you. Vocals are kinda quiet compared to the guitar.
Dude . You’re nailing it
Amazing! Found u on Reddit :)
I’m out of also, what part of the state are you from?
Indiana I was in cloverdale. Wisconsin I’m in Merrill.
very nice man!!!
Thankyou sir
I’m so mad that you aren’t as popular as others singers you are one of my favorite country artists
Thankyou very much
I cant tell what he's doing when he's picking on a,Help?
On the Chord a? What part of the song
Are you meaning with my picking hand? Bar a of course pick a string through b string all one time then pick d string once b string once than d string once then b string once and then go to a walk down on 4th string g 4th fret to third fret to second fret alternating between d and g string starting with the d string. Hope that helps.
That was amazing my guy👌
Great cover, brother! Love this song. God bless
This cowboy song is deep, the lyrics and music is miving...amazing 👊👍💜🔥🔥🔥
Nice Zarek ! I'm still working on this tune. Will add kick drum after that. You played it so well. Thank you. Tucson, Arizona
Thankyou very much. I wish I would have kept my old bass drum to my drum set just for this reason. Thinking about posting an updated version here soon.
@@zarekmichalski4995 Thanks Zarek, I looked for used 14" kicks recently. Have you seen "Roll the Bones" vid ? Shakey Graves used the bass drum and a tambourine. Cheers from Tucson, Arizona
ThePiperofSimms no I have not seen it. I’ll have to look it up. Colter I believe has a tambourine in his base drum in the brewery sessions videos. Makes for a great sound.
@@zarekmichalski4995 Hi Zarek, You must watch that Audio Tree performance. You will probably like it. "Roll the Bones" Shakey Graves. Thx Z.
This is great.
Amazing. Reminds me a lot of Colter Wall’s “Kate McCannon” - both the lyrics and the riffs. Great work as always.
Thankyou! Colter has influenced me a lot in my guitar playing.
Yessss really enjoyed it
Hey bro Great song. "A Stone cold love" Might work Hope all's well Talk to ya soon Peace
Thankyou very much. And that’s a good one
I’ve decided to use your name suggestion. Thankyou by the way. I sat for a while trying to think of a good one. If I ever get any royalties for it your getting some as well lol
