    Please please please... try a prescribed burn and use clean manure as fertilizer. Some livestock manure is contaminated with all kinds of nasty shite. I am noticing that your soil looks pretty silty and dry.. i highly highly recommend a prescribed burn and yes your lawn will be bare for a season but what grows back will be only healthy native plants which will nourish the soil with very low maintenance. Sometimes genuinely the only thing you can do in order to create the right biological activity you have to just start over. Specifically I am talking about the non native grass in your yard keeping all of the insects and bees out! You need to attract pollenators and birds and all the good wildlife that is completely absent from your soil right now. Soil is actually quite a bit like the human gut in some ways. Occasionally you need to start over to promote a balance. Soil in my land is almost black and has a very special texture. Retains moisture very well and has a sweet smoky aroma like rotted wood in a good way. My garden were tragic before my burn and 2yrs later I can practically toss seeds in any direction and get crops and are quite happy living AMONGST the native flowers and grass and not BESIDE these things. I hope this issue can be resolved soon. I think you made good insights with this video and i hope that you consider a burn. Happy gardening.

      American elderberries are not toxic to humans when properly prepared; River Hills Harvest specifically sell and promote American elderberry products, emphasizing that the berries must be fully ripe and cooked to eliminate any potential toxicity, which is a key point to remember when consuming elderberries.

    How often do you have to change the water? Or add soda

    • @ASimpleLifewithChrisTara
      @ASimpleLifewithChrisTara 13 днів тому

      You will occasionally have to add water because of evaporation, but you should never need to add Super Washing Soda unless you are changing out all the water in the E-tank, which I usually do once a year.

    I've used my grandmother's Wagner 8 skillet for years. Just recently we moved and I'm cooking on elec for the first time in years. I didn't know what I was doing and cracked the skillet. I'm just sick that I've ruined her skillet. Is there any way to restore a cracked skillet? If not, I'll probably hang it on the wall in remembrance of her. I appreciate your help.

      Not really, best just to make a wall hanger out of it. Remember on an electric stove top, 3 pr med-low is all you'll ever need with Cast Iron. That will boil water or fry bacon. Sorry for your loss.

    My experience is For Jars lids rust on the underside Some rust is quite significant. I NEVER HAD THIS WITH BALL JAR LIDS EVER, Some of my home canned stuff both pressure and water bath with Ball lids are 5 plus years old and seals still doing great. I think they had a bad year with defects in 2021 causing bad seals but that seems to be over. I switched back to Ball lids.

Yes, you can can food for more than 90 minutes with a NESCO Smart Canner The black exhaust weight on a NESCO Smart Canner is used for altitudes below 1,000 feet above sea level, while the green exhaust weight is used for higher altitudes. And as for how long...hopefully a long time. Love mine. Hope this helps...and make sure and READ your manual FIRST.

    I have this exact stovetop model, but I use one of the later versions regularly, it's an electric model. I absolutely love it. During the weekdays before work I use a regular Mr coffee drip maker that I set up the night before because it's just faster, but on the weekends I get out the Corning electric percolator. Still have never tried this stove top one I will have to maybe try it tomorrow morning.
