I really love this build. I just want to know why you keep everything in 3 mode? isn't there a way to do this without keeping it in 3 mode? (smooth) I mean it looks good, so don't get me wrong here, but what if you wanted to put it in unreal? you can't keep it in smooth mode while it's in there right? or am I wrong?

I have a question, recently i tried to create a tank as well and submitted it with my portfolio but one of the artist said that the scaling was not properly done. So my question is, what should i do about the scaling?
Hey, great to hear that you're working on tanks for your portfolio! I suggest check your units measurments, maybe your model is not to real size scale and if you are doing realistic it can affect the lighting. Send me and image, I will check it. By the way what software are you using?

Hi Nicolas, I've been doing 3d for 15 years. As for my art It's a combination of good modeling practice and the style also. Keep practice, experiment, and continue learning. It is also important to get feedbacks, I recommend posting your work on 3d forums.
Before to start the video, I thought you used plane for create this jeep, but you start with box, I'm impressed and now I want to do the same for the jurassic park jeep 😁

Hi, I did the UVs for the first 1 only, then I duplicate the object several times while keeping the UVs. In the end, since they are all different lengths but already have the UVs, I just need to optimize them.

Hi I didn't need references for this particular model, it was very simple! but references can be very helpful if you are new to 3d modeling even for simpler projects.

i have a question, do you always modelling with quads or a little bit of triangles are okay in your model?
and since you always use subd smooth preview, when u do uv/texturing do u always apply the subd first or just uv/texture the 'low poly', i ask this because i often get texture stretching when the subd not applied permanently whats the better workflow for you?
Hi, here the answers to questions: 1 I do model in quads as possible I can, but a little bit of traingle is ok, when you will apply the subdiv later in the final model, all the triangles will be converted to quads. 2 When doing Uvs I keep smooth preview, But before texturing I make a copy and apply the subdiv because substance painter dont support smooth preview. 3 For texture streching, you can work in smooth preview, but your UV Boundary Smoothing need to be set to (Preserve edges and Corners) Check this video for stretching issue ua-cam.com/video/Gg_RD-N_rWE/v-deo.html
Intresting you do not start from blocking of whole model. Instead of this you model high poly of every piece one by one. I do not recommend this way to people who are just starting to deal with cg-graphics.

hello Can I ask some questions? if can then is the whole house UVs are Cramped in UV map I know its gonna have a very low Res...? or is it seperate? or you have to Import only parts of them each with their own UV map? because its a pain to Textures each of the object ... Thank you :)
Hi, I seperated the UVs in 3 or 4 4k texture set, you can seperate them base on materials like wood, bricks to make texture easier. Or you can make one big 8k texture map if your computer support it. the most important is that all the UV shells are proportionaly the same size. and there are newer approach to this like UDIMs which I have not get time to use.

Hi, yes I did, there are some automatic UV unfolding in substance but I prefer to unfold myself.
