I sympathize with you and Meghan, I've been there..and when we ladies get that thing every month again while you are hoping you are pregnant sucks big time :-( and you just have to continue with your life as if everything is ok! :-( However if we don't that will be a problem, so Meghan dw keep your hopes high, that means you have another chance! I hope your wish comes true at the right moment :-) That is a very nice thought of you to catch up with many people as you can cause no deserves to be lonely on Christmas!! Jack: I'm always glad when you find the time in your busy schedule to talk to us. I do miss you when you're not here. We had a little party this evening to set up my Christmas tree (an artificial evergreen), with two of my sons, two of my youngest son's friends & the girlfriend of one. It was nice and the tree looks fabulous. We always decorate close to Christmas, since for us Advent is not Christmas. Christmas begins on Christmas Day, and the immediate celebration extends through the Twelve Days to Epiphany (January 6), and the season continues to Candlemas, February 2. So my tree stays up till Candlemas--no holiday blues here. This also allows me time to get a little something for my children and my grandson, since I rarely have enough money to buy both Christmas dinner and gifts. I wish I had something for you, my brother. But I will send a small token of my love and esteem by email. Take care & God bless. Merry Christmas, brother.

Here’s the thing about the endless freaking romantic dilemma between a man and a woman: 100% testosterone driven men - about 90% of all of them I’d say- are just completely different from women. In most men there is just biologically very LITTLE empathy and sensitivity, which is the kind most women - especially those who are softest tend to fall for… in this case FORGET a healthy happy enriching relationship . Absolutely FORGET IT. L I can affirm that’s since I’ve been on both hormones. Two COMPLETELY different softwares which makes it almost stunning that women and men have ever been in relationships and not just pure sexual relationships.

Jack, Both you and I lived through and/or did things that we might regret, however those experiences are part of who we are today. By sharing ourselves, our experience, our strength and our hope, as you do through these videos and I do through meetings and sponsorship (as you may also be doing), with others makes up for many of these misgivings we may regret. So as our literature says, let us not regret our past, nor shut the door on it, but share and grow from it that we may help others. By bettering ourselves and sharing, we better the world around us. Our weaknesses become our strengths. As far as Amsterdam, no today you wouldn’t do what you once did, but because of your past experience you would make better choices for an even better trip! Go to Amsterdam. It’s an incredible city filled with wonderful museums, history, culture and beauty. Face it both of us would have found the drugs and or booze in Fiji as much as we would have Amsterdam. Why not make both places a bucket list trip and go! Megan, As a sober addict/alcoholic man in a long term relationship let me tell you that Jack is blessed to have you. You are open, honest, supportive and vulnerable which is what we need in our lives. Thank you both for sharing with this trooper who waited until he had enough time to watch the whole video.

On a side note, I hope it is “when”, not “if”, (the getting married part)….I’m old, marriage used to mean something! 🙂 Here is the “mom” coming out in me-you should get checked for sleep apnea if you are snoring a lot. If diagnosed, you, and she, would get a more restful sleep if you were using a CPAP machine! Sorry to hear you still have a nagging cough…I hope it goes away soon. Thanks for the video. I came across you today while watching soft white underbelly. I watch all your interviews in a row. I am so impressed with you. You you're such a beautiful heart. I love how soft spoken you are how intelligent you are how you know how to hold a conversation you talk very poetic. You are very respectful guy. Which is super rare. Gosh I have so many questions I would like to ask so many things I would like to say I'm so big when it comes to trauma. When it comes to healing and just the hearts of people. I just want to know so much more than I do. Although I know that it would probably be damn near impossible to ever talk to you at this point
