    The way he could use a victim recovering from PTSD by manipulating him is amazing. But johan just could'nt manipulate tenma i mean how could he johan was only unsuccesful once that was when he could'nt prove that tenma eas a moster. I see everyone trying to be like johan i dont know why just people want to be monster inorder to prove that monster exist, the main aim of monster was to actually be the 'different' by not being a monster. Tenma is truly underrated

    I don’t get it. If I willingly murdered someone (with self-righteousness) how could I be guilt tripped into thinking what I did was wrong, and especially into suicide? It’s as if Johan used the Geass to control their minds rather than influencing them through legitimate manipulation. I’m honestly not sure why this anime is rated so highly when it’s so obnoxiously unrealistic. It’s like nobody can think for themselves. Rather than Johan being the lobotomite, (after being shot in the head) everyone else in the series received a 50 cal through their frontal lobe instead. Entertaining, but exceptionally overrated and unrealistic. Rating: 7.5/10

    • @Nhoadkoko
      @Nhoadkoko 2 місяці тому

      The guilt was not about Richard being wrong for killing someone, he already knew that and accepted it. It was about the fact he claimed his act to be a drunken mistake. Johan gaslighted him and made him doubt the true reason of his act. He was starting to heal from his trauma after several meetings with Reichwein and to turn his life around, but the reality is that the true issue wasn't being addressed from the start. It's a double layered lie that Richard wanted to deny, but Johan made it resurface and made him realise the heavy sin he's denied from the start. It's a harsh, painful and realistic manipulation. It's literally no different from people committing suicide because of harassments. There's nothing unrealistic here. You saying it's overrated doesn't make it so. Monster is just not for you.

    I don't understand this. It doesn't make any sense. In the show Richard was almost hundred percent sure Johan was the "monster" he had every right not to trust him at all, hell realistically he should've tackled this dude the moment he opened his door and saw him. But instead he ends up following him along and is literally guilt tripped into committing self-deletion. Like, why? He should've realized this guy doesn't wish anything good for him and is manipulating him, but decides to have a drink? Totally unrealistic and I don't understand why people think Johan's a genius for this, cause he's not, he's literally given Richard every reason to despise him, from divulging info about him that he shouldn't have access to, and all. It's so forced to make him look smart. It's actually dumb.

    • @MagnificentSteiner999
      @MagnificentSteiner999 4 місяці тому

      He wasn’t almost 100% sure of anything lol, he simply found out that Johan had a connection to all the victims, he had no hard proof on him at all being an actual murderer. Johan picked his words carefully with Richard and the information Johan brought up wasn’t anything secretive as his case was likely public, he was also hallucinating about Stephan Joos and Johan picked his words carefully to make him fall back into that moment and he didn’t out and out diss Richard until he was very weakened mentally.

    • @deuce5546

      Gee, why is the guy in rehab whose grasp on reality is so brisk that he hallucinates in the middle of the day about the guy he killed, so taken aback by the only person who knows the sin he's spent several years convincing people did not happen? I dunno, you tell me.

    • @surgeonsergio6839
      @surgeonsergio6839 4 місяці тому

      @@deuce5546 What, lol!? What point of mine are you attacking? I literally said nothing like that. I said it's not believable to think that a detective who's suspecting a guy of being a psychotic criminal to follow along said guy. Especially when he shows up at your doorstep just as you're on the verge of convicting him. Likewise, doesn't make sense why he'd be guilt-tripped by a guy that he knows doesn't want any good for him. It isn't realistic. You know what would've been realistic? If Johan actually had rapport with Richard before his investigation really began, and if Richard wasn't really sure who the real criminal was. So, I dunno, you tell me.

    • @deuce5546
      @deuce5546 4 місяці тому

      @@surgeonsergio6839 Because like I already told you, Richard is a very unstable person. I must point again to the fact he hallucinates in the middle of the day. Richard also had no reason to suspect Johan would actually do anything to him, while being careful was definitely something he should have done, Johan seized the opportunity soon by talking about something that interested Richard, his "drinking problem". He's a guy who is all about "oh I commited a mistake but I'm getting better", Johan said exactly something that Richard couldn't let go, that's why he followed him, Johan kept talking about things that made him mad. That's Johan's whole shtick, he says exactly what you don't wanna hear. And for someone like Richard who parades his sob story all around town, someone questioning it was a personal attack that he couldn't let go. That simple. It's not so much realistic as it is logical. Johan didn't approach Richard as a detective, he approached him as the troubled individual he was. You complain about how everything is forced for Johan to seem smart, in reality Johan just knew how to read people. Everything was already set in stone for that to happen, Johan's uneasy presence, Richard's guilt, his mental unstability. What was Johan gonna do in Richard's perspective? They went to a bar. Johan wasn't gonna kill him in front of people. Richard could still think logically by then, it was when Johan started getting on Richard's nerves that he stopped being logical. Reality is unrealistic, kiddo.

    Okay, fuck Johan. I want to talk about Grimmer. I just finished watching the series for the first time and this moment cemented what I love so much about his character. For someone who went through 511 Kinderheim like Johan, he's almost nothing like him. He's emotionally suppressed, but he knows what's right and wrong. He's trying to heal. He mourns for what he lost, even if he doesn't realize it. I think it was this moment where he started to actually get in touch with the emotions that were ripped away from him all those years ago. Despite whatever he may think about himself, he is an empathetic man.
