@@TreyFishing awesome. I have the same kayak and want to get the same trolling motor you have but I read about water in the kayak because trolling motor weight . So when you fishing in smaller waves you don’t get any water over bow because weight ? Thanks

@megabassg5831 I've only taken water in conditions where my bow would be dunking and taking water anyways. I've done about 60 trips with the motor, maybe more

@megabassg5831 if you are really worried you can extend the wiring on the trolling motor and run the battery on top of the stern of the kayak behind your crate or whatever

@@TreyFishing I recommend going on the full day fishing trips at Dana wharf you don’t catch tuna but you do catch many bass and barracuda and Bonita if you’re lucky

@BigFunkyy Hah! I actually hate hooking up on sharks but only got him up to the surface because I thought he was a big White Seabass or California Halibut. Usually those sharks jump when you hook up on them but he was sitting on the bottom during the beginning of the fight!

@@TreyFishing I still felt very confused so I called mercury today. They said as long as my xi3 model already has pinpoint gps, then I don’t need the gateway kit, I’d only need the NMEA 2000 starter kit

You need a license to fish where I am fishing including the ocean enhancement license. You can fish from the pier or jetties without a license
