Notice 2 O-rings between head and jug, one small lower left stud where the oil pressure is and the bigger squared lower right, but only one big between jug and engine block. 3 in total for those with minor math skill 😅
How dear you call my mighty DAX a child toy! then, im 60 and still a child 🤣Nice job, i just did the same with the same tool ,did it like that for the first time in 1982
I am getting ready to do my cylinder head, gathering as much info as I can, nice job... I was hoping to see how you timed it.
Man I got the 300s front end kit from rock auto got everything done tell me why this clunking noise can back 😫😫😫😫
@@michaelcollins7321 Take those sway bar links off and check them…I bought cheap ones that didn’t last very long and the noise came back…that’s when I got pissed and made this video
How are you liking the heating unit? Any issues? Would you buy again?
@@lvond555 Love it, no issues…definitely would buy it over
Very cute kid. It’s a good thing you had him help you, so the job was a lot easier. Good luck with the new heater. 🇨🇦💝🙏👍🥰
I can't believe how little you guys know about cars!
@@garycamara9955 I can’t believe how dumb your comment is
Its a 4 spd,not an automatic
@@garycamara9955 Wrong Gary…7:12 in the video you can clearly see the brake pedal…and no clutch pedal. “I can’t believe how little you know about cars”
Dude I just attempted this same "STACK THINGS ON TOP OF A LADDER TO ALIGN THE HOLES" attempt and thought I was the only one crazy enough to do it this way 🤣🤣. Only I didn't have the fancy crates so mine was balancing on a few wobbly bricks and some slivers of wood I found laying around. Not the easiest as one person, but got it done.
I just temporarily hooked up the wiring yesterday on my X15,000. Could not find an 80 amp breaker and 4/2 wire so I bought a 60 amp breaker and 8ft. of 6/2 wire. The unit works great with this set up.
@@kurtbircher-y7j For my permanent install I used 6 awg wire and a 70 amp breaker. My run is pretty short, about 3 feet total. I tired 4 awg but it was so big the hold down screw was backed out too far and wouldn’t bite on the heater side. So far we’re on season 3 and haven’t burnt the place down yet!!! Good luck!!!
What size breaker did you end up using and what size wire?
@@Justin-p8z5u I ended up using 6 awg wire and a 70 amp breaker. My run is pretty short, about 3 feet total. I tried to use 4 awg wire, but the set screw was backed out too far to bite on the heater side. This will be heating season 3 with no issues so far.
Thank goodness there are no injuries involved like in other videos
Sometimes the motor mounts make those noises also
@@mattwolf1718 I had an oil leak I was chasing on this car…sure enough it was a leaking motor mount!!!
You need like 4 awg wire. Be careful.
Can we get more content from this one! love this car! Bring it back!
My 78 is 4 prong and I see the CHP kit has 3 prongs
@@ymielmn1 you’ll need to take the neutral wire out of your old harness and add it to the CHP one
@@Jojoandsonsgarage oh wow, this just went over my head, I’m new to this and don’t even know which one is the neutral wire
Was your plug for the stator 3 or 4 prong? I’m working on a 78 and no spark at the plug, but the points are sparking, thinking about just rebuilding the stator?
Bad rings, they use cheap material, this always happens, I have two like this, Briggs and Stratton are better.
I like the Chrysler 300 a lot. I just purchased a 2023 300 which is its final year.
no they still make them
"How much time did you take scraping grease off the chassis components" Brother, I've had my 69 for 2 years and I'm still scraping grease off 😂
I wish people would use fender covers, and preserve what fairly nice paint is left !! And never overtighten battery cables during startup tests - so you can get them off in a hurry if you have to !!
We are looking at one of these but have a long gravel driveway with a moderate slope. Don’t know much about this. Wondering if these would be adequate to get up the gravel incline?
@@toddfleury7324 With the factory dual suitcase weights, tire chains and if you’re fat like me you should have no problem with a moderate grade
It’s a easy fix
I have the same issue
Thanks for sharing! Dealing with this issue.
Pretty cool stuff. Great father/ son memory that will last a lifetime!
Something blocking oil delivery going up to the valve train - maybe a spun cam bearing ??
We do know the oil pan is dented up…perhaps the pick up screen is partially blocked and or sitting in sludge?
@Jojoandsonsgarage definitely if no clearance between the bottom of the oil pan and the pickup screen - it's terminally blocked.
Bad gas mileage? This car gets better gas mileage than some 4 bangers😂
It gets the same mileage as my 2010 Camaro SS with the LS3!!! Love my Chryslers…but they’re not known for fuel mileage
I feel like a viper doesn’t even need a stereo. That’s weird. I’ve never even seen someone talk about a stereo system in a hyper car once in my life even car reviewers. So it’s kind of weird that this guy mentions his car stereo in a viper. Lol future classic that car been a classic for 15 or 20 years.
I have a rwd Chrysler 300 5.7 and I took it to my mechanic and he couldn’t find anything
@@davebontrager6875 Remove the sway bar links and check them…that’s the only way to be 100% sure…Thanks for tuning in!
This is gonna sound like a stupid question but where are the floor jack points
Cut cut cut
Hi. By any chance, could you run down exactly what color wires from the new harness (I have the same new harness), connect to the leads from the speedo, brakes, headlight and switches? As you know, some colors match the old leads, some don’t. Thanks!
I have 66 caprice I want to do this to but don't know if this will work with the rims I have.
@@McCullochMac6 This stuff is basically 70’s Malibu…I went with 15 inch rally wheels, but I’m pretty sure 14 inch original wheels would work too…probably even 13 inch daytons…good luck and thanks for watching!!!
i have 2012 chrysler 300 bought it used first time owning a 300 and i love it. even though i havent had this problem it was a great insight !! thanks guys it awesome you and little man can bond and work on it together ! keep it the great work you earned a like and new subscriber.
Just to let you know in my manual for the E1 3042 inch it explicitly says for the E130 to set that height level at 2 1/4. I tried to do it at 2 1/2 like all the video said here nope didn’t work. You have to put it at 2 1/4 to set one 😮e13042 inch mower deck.😂 add that to your video
Just got one almost identical beautiful, fix that thing up its def burning oil 🛢🔥
John Fowlie of Big M Auto out in California has forward looks in his yard. He might have a '61 chrysler in his yard Cruise control was called auto pilot back when that car was brand new

Leatherique is a company that supply's leather restoration materials. They hold patent on the aniline dye process from 60 years ago or so. They sell color matched dye, rejuvination and cleaner liquids in a collagen base. Collagen has a property of unwinding its 3 molecular strands with the right amount of heat. They have an informative booklet on the science behind this for download on their website. To get the right temp, I have found a garment steamer with a hose works great. Without that level of heat, sometimes a tacky surface is left. Not so with steam. Follow the steamer immediately with a clean towel. The rejuvination liquid melts into the pores floating out the dirt and oil, and wiping up immediately so it can't re-soak into the leather is key. It's very effective for deep cleaning and in restoring suppleness and stretch to leather.
Happiness is a warm welding tip. 1960s Chrysler white - one of the strongest compounds known to man? Maybe.
Thank you for this!!
On the 300G with the radio antenna on the driver side. When the cars were new, and didn't have the power antenna, the antenna was installed at the dealership. This way they could swap a radio from one car to another on the lot if needed. The dealer was supposed to mount it on the passenger side fender. I have a 1964 Dodge wagon that didn't come from the factory with a radio but the dealer installed the correct radio but put the antenna on the driver side.
It’s crazy how much the dealers were involved with final assembly back in the day, that definitely doesn’t go on anymore!!! Thanks for watching
Great video JoJo! I just bought my first project bike. I have a question on the key switch. Was it plug and play or did you have to do some tweaking on it?
I reused my original key switch that did in fact connected perfectly to my new harness. Good luck on your project and thanks for tuning in!
