Imagine that! No computers, no calculators! Just smart humans, & slide rules 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻!
Especially back in the day when signals were all levers! They are very good at their job!
How far from dresden is this railway
This railway is about 15 minutes on the S1 out of Dresden Central Station to Radebeul Ost. So it is very easy to get to on the train.
Would love to do this. Is this something they offer as an experience
I am not too sure if they offer anything to the public, I went as part of an organised event to the Isle of Man. But plenty of other heritage railways offer this experience
very nice!!
Thank you mate!
@TheEastAnglianUK has some videos of the Bure Valley Railway
@@TheEastAnglianUK nice one, I’ll have to check out some of your videos then!
I love the motion gear on this loco
Yeah it is rather nice indeed! I like doing the tracking shots along side the loco
I thought he died years ago. 😊
Sadly the man did, however this train lives on!
I want to go there soo bad 😣 I live soo far away
That is such a shame, I hope you make it one day!
WAIT A MINUTE YOUR NEER ME AND CAN GO TO BADERFEILD
Thanks for the comment, I’m not too sure what you mean sorry?

Very nice indeed!
I'm alright! I made it down safely!
That’s what we like to hear! Hopefully it stays that way!
I'm alright! I made it down safely!
Good stuff:)
I'm alright! i made it down safely!
I am glad to hear it
2 and 3
Both from the Bure valley railway these whistles, they are both quality!
I'd love to travel in these narrow gauge corridors. Have done most of these in India, hopefully get an opportunity for these...
It’s a lovely railway the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch.
I'm alright! i made it down safely!
I’m glad to hear it
I'm new to trains and I'm so glad I found your channel. Do you know what train this is? Looks like a beast!
I am glad you enjoy the content. I’m not too sure on the locomotive type but if you want to find out information about the locos that work on the railway it’s called the radebeul radeburg railway in Germany.
1
I can’t argue, that is a quality whistle.

Good choice, absolutely love a stannier hooter!
I live in America, and I'm just recently _really_ getting into steam locomotives after seeing 4014 in person about three weeks ago. I have to say, with upmost respect, might I add, I was absolutely dumbfounded by the smaller stature of the trains themselves, and the higher pitch of the whistles. I just recently got to ride my first steamer about a week ago, and she was certainly no Big Boy, engine number 401, but I don't think even she could fit on those tracks without taking up the full space. Tell me, friend, why does it seem these countries make, or, well... _did make,_ I guess... such smaller locomotives? Or are there a lot more larger trains that just weren't showcased in this video?
Sadly we don’t have anything in the UK the same size of a big boy, however most of the network uses the same track gauge as what the big boy uses, 1435mm. Most of the trains showcased in this video are from smaller gauges, mainly 15” locomotives.
@@trainswithlewis8 Ah, I see, so these were just smaller trains. Thank you, friend. : )
@@soundwavesuperior7522 no worries at all:):)

Yeah that’s fair play, it is a nice chime
4 then 1
That’s strange, almost if you have a bit of a bias for the Romney locos;) 4 or 3 for me.
@@trainswithlewis8 🤔🤔

Wouldn’t it be cool to blow the whistle for Samson! Have you ever done this?
@@trainswithlewis8 Wowee for sure!! I may have dabbled in a whistle or two 😏 have you??
@@chloesorrell32The tone mister! Lucky you!! I might have used it once or twice as well.
I love it sir! please can we get more
Hopefully there will be another one towards the end of the year! Thank you for watching:):)
3:17 Doctor Syn: You ready? Northern Chief: Yea!
Working together to create some fantastic tones!
I made a steam train based of a piece of RHDR 10.
@@WesternRailway1592 oh really, that sounds very cool indeed!
I swear the A4 whistles are the best in the UK. Greetings from Chile.
Thanks for watching! Greeting back from the UK! They are very iconic and I do rate them very highly!
I was on that same ride. I think that i was in the last car and would always look on the right side of the train
Oh that’s really cool, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did?
@@trainswithlewis8 i enjoyed it very much
@@warriorpredator128 glad to hear it! :):)
❤😂❤
V shaped whistle smoke?
Yeah it looks mega!
U sat in the cab, i rlly want to do that, but i live in Southampton
Yep I was fortunate enough to sit in the cab, I have been very lucky! I would recommend it as an experience!
1+2+3
Tbf it is quite hard to narrow down to the best whistle, they become the locos identity a little
River Esk whistle is the reason i want to see it irl
Oh really, it has a sweet whistle but I must admit I prefer chimes usually. Hopefully you see it one day!
2 and last one
That is a respectable choice!
Trains will never not be cool! 🤣
That is very true!
TRENES Y PROGRESO!!🎉🎉🎉
Winner winner!

While it seems the narrowgauge locs have the better whistles, the full size locos definitely beat them in Chimney Chuff noises!
Very true, especially the smaller locos on long trains.
Oitava Maravilha do Mundo Parabéns 🚂🇧🇷
It certainly should be, maybe one day!
Those engine drivers are very big blokes aren't they.
I wouldn’t know about that, I’d say the trains are small
Thanks for dharing
No worries at all, glad you enjoyed :):)
Simply red. If I was rich I’d do a Pete Waterman
I would be exactly the same!
3 or 4
I can’t argue with that!
Why do the narrow gauge engines always have the best whistles!?!?
They do have some of the best, esk is lucky enough to have two whistles as well! The other one sounds like Hercules’ at Romney
Love the noise of any steam engine accelerating!
You and me both! Looking forward to hearing No1 again when she is back from overhaul!
Parallel!
I’ll be able to spell it correctly one day;(
@trainswithlewis8 Sorry, but once a teacher, always a teacher. Great video. I would love to see multiple heading at the RHDR. It's a brilliant railway.
@@captaintorch983 it’s no worries at all! I would prefer someone picking up and letting me know so I don’t make the same mistake in future:) yeah they are fantastic when they do them!
It’s so quiet and peaceful where you are!
It’s a lovely part of the world, norfolk has a nice slow pace of life which I rather enjoy.
I like the sound of the whistle
It’s a lovely chime for sure!
number 1 for sure
I wonder why;) I agree tho
In our childhood memories train speaking also झबबलपुर के छः छः पैसा दे दे पैसा चल कलकत्ता 😂😂😂😂
Bakwaas Not moving Jhakkaas Actually very realistic 😂😂😂
