Parallel runs with Blickling Hall at The Bure Valley Railway 22/06/24

  • I was back out on my bike cause my legs plenty of grief from all of the weeds along the railways path. However, I managed to get some footage of No6 Blickling Hall riding the rails on the 22/06/24. For those unaware of this railway, it is the Bure Valley Railway in Norfolk (plenty of other footage available on my channel).
    Hope you enjoy and that my suffering wasn’t in vain.

    Did you think about another source of heat for locomotives? I can imagine propane or LPG hidden in coal storage. And gas burner mounted where coal usually is burning.

      BVR 8 (one of the locos) was an oil burner for a good few years but then got converted to coal firing. The Bure Valley Railway test many different coal alternatives tho.
