- On the 9th day of meteorological spring the railway ran a two train service for Mothers Day. This weekend saw 8 and 9 haul passenger trains between Aylsham and Wroxham on the Bure Valley Railway.

I’ve always hated the BVR’s headboards, how they cover the engine’s entire smokebox door. Just imagine if this was the Thomas universe, these bloody circles would completely blind the engines, and conceal their mouths, and probably be a non-faceless vehicle rights violation as well. All that aside though, these kinds of headboards simply don’t look good on engines. Whoever came up with that headboard design was an idiot.
They certainly look different, but they have their charm and are eye catching to the public.
@@trainswithlewis8 More like eye sores than eye catching for me. And they have charm? Yeah, no. Traditional headboards fixed to the TOP of the smokebox are the charming ones.

@@trainlover16 yeah, a few of them have popped up on the channel that get used at the BVR, eg The Norfolkman, The Broadman and a few others.
